    Good Quality and Good Shave

This razor is a nice foil shaver that is feels high quality and is easy to use. I like that it offers some nice options but doesn't try to do too much. I've had other razors that are self cleaning and that come with lots of attachments that I never use. What I like most about this razor is that it is small, cordless, can be rinsed in water (wet/dry#, and that it has enough pivot to adjust to your face. Some razors pivot in all four directions but this one only pivots up and down #not left and right#. I have also been happy with the battery life, having used it for a week on the same charge and yet to run out of juice. Also, I like the charger. Instead of having to sit on my sink counter #which is always full), it sits right on top of the plugin charger. Also, the charger can fit into the top plugin with enough room to plug something in the lower plugin. Regarding the quality of the shave, I would rate it the same as the other razors I've had. You can get a super close shave but you have to spend more time to get a better shave. As far as things I don't like about the razor, I would say there are none. I would say it takes me longer to shave then when I use the electric razor that has 3 heads, but I also read that it takes a while for your skin and whiskers to adjust to a new shaver. I've felt like this in the past about other razors too. Overall, I am happy with this shaver and would recommend it.

    Reliable Shaver

I've been using electric razors for like 35 years now. My last several have been from Panasonic. I like the foil heads vs. the triple heads on other shavers. My wife broke the trimmer blade on my last razor so it was time to get a new one. Nowadays, getting a wet-dry razor seems like a no brainer, not necessarily because I want to shave in shower. More because they're just easier to clean. You get a super close shave with this razor. Nice and smooth face without any irritation. Easy to clean. Keeps charge long enough for lots of shaves. Obviously it depends on how many times a week you shave on how long it will list but this goes for a while for me as I don't need to shave daily unless I really want to. Comfortable to hold and the pivoting head keeps the foils on point.

First Time using an Electric Razor

I've used the Panasonic electric razor for a couple of weeks. Below are my pros and cons. Disclaimer: This is my first time using an electric shaver. What I like: The razor has a very nice design. It's light weight and the pivoting head feature makes shaving extra comfortable. I have only used it a couple of times but it was definitely comfortable to hold. I also liked the charging feature. You can plug it into the wall and it's ready every morning. No cords to get in the way. Another great feature is the ability to use it in the shower. What I don't like: I have used the razor for over two weeks but I'm still having difficulty getting the razor to cut the hair on the first go around. I have to go over the same places multiple times before it cuts the hair (this may be a rookie mistake). It leaves my face very irritated after use. Again, this is my first time using an electric razor, so it may be that I'm not used to it yet. Also, it heats up pretty good during use. Overall, the razor has an excellent design and I'm sure it does the job if you have experience with electric razors.

Just not a clean shave, pulls hair and you have to cut at to many angles in one spot to get as close as possible. Bought it to save time an that didn't work out at all.

It's a water proof shaver that works and the battery lasts for a few shaves if you shave every day. Side trimmer works well and is actually easier to extend and collapse than I thought... I had to stop overthinking the the simple mechanism and then it just worked; just use slight pressure with your thumb up or down. For the money this shaver is very good and I'll be taking it with me when I travel. I do not like the one piece cradle charger that you have to plug directly into the call outlet, but it does work. You just can't plug anything else in at the same time because the charger is bulky. If you are on a budget and want an electric shaver that gets the job done this will work. Remember this is 4 stars because it is a good value. If you want better you'll pay more.

    Basic Wet/Dry Shaver

I was excited to try out the Panasonic Arc3 but after having used it for 10 days, I'm ready to put it in a drawer for a while. What's good: The design feels nice in the hand. If you use this in the shower you'll be able to maintain your grip thanks to the rubberlike outer material wrapping the body. Also, the piece that extends out to do edging and trimming actually works great. It cuts easily and is precise. The shaver is very easy to clean after use. What's not so good: The charging base is a plug in brick that the shaver sits directly in. The brick then gets plugged directly into an outlet with the shaver sitting on top of it. If you don't have a lot of clearance above your bathroom outlet or don't have a lot of outlets in the bathroom, this will be an issue. If it dies while you're shaving, you're out of luck because it can't be operated while plugged in. Also, it takes 8 hours to charge the shaver (16 if it's completely dead), and there is no battery indicator on the device to tell you where you're at. Fully charged I have been able to get around 4 shaves before it needs to be re-charged.The manual says 54 minutes of power on full charge which is probably close. The same manual says the battery needs to be replaced at 3 yrs, so that's pretty much the shelf life of the shaver because it's built in. Another shortcoming for me is that the design of the head doesn't seem to be able to get a clean cut without going over the same spot 3-4 times. I have tried to use this in the shower, with and without shaving cream, and just dry. No matter what the conditions, it takes multiple passes and still leaves stubble in spots. Sometimes I've just given up and grabbed a razor to quick finish up a few spots that this won't seem to get no matter how many times I try. Under the chin and around the mouth/under the nose seem to be the biggest trouble areas for this shaver. I would attribute that to it's inability to adjust well to contours and curves. I wanted to like this shaver but I would have trouble recommending it based on my experience.

I have been using a blade and decide to give this a try. For now it's a 4, but it says to give it 30 days and I will. After 30 days I will see if it worth more or less stars and update. I have used it 4 days so far. So far the shaver is better used dry than wet. Dry or wet, it takes multi passes to get the best the results. Even after 4 days, the results are better. It's easy to clean. The charge goes in the plug and stays on the wall, so it can charge out of the way. One charge should last a week according to the manual. So far it's worked great. Right now, it's not as good as a blade, but hopefully it will continue to get better. But, for quick and easy decent results it's been doing fine.

    Powerful & Close; Hefty

Overall a quality unit. Does what it is supposed to, gets a close shave. First time using an electric shaver in probably 3+ years. Results: Close, smooth, with no razor burn or irritation... Downsides; it is a little bit heavy, it has so heft to it. The shaving service, isn't all that flexible (side to side)... My biggest reason for losing 1 star, is the charger. It is a FIXED charger, right in the outlet... with no ability to rotate it. So on my bathroom wall, I have JUST (by about .5") to fit the charger and the shaver, horizontally. There is no way to rotate it (have to look for some sort of gadget that will allow it). Shave does lock in, but just looks odd and fearful it will fall.

I really wanted to LOVE it but...

So I really wanted to love this electric shaver but it is more of an "eh" situation. First, let me describe my facial hair situation so that you can help make your own judgement call. My facial hair grows in fairly slowly as in, I typically shave once or twice a week without major facial stubble. My facial hair grows in a bit patchy and is fine/softer (not course like many men's facial hair). This razor has many nice little features. First, it can be used wet or dry. I have only been using it dry as I got this electric razor with the interest of saving time on shaving (totally willing to sacrifice closeness of shave for time). The head is easily removed to allow for easy cleaning. Furthermore, it has a fine trimming tool to clean up beards; I had to test it as I did not have much faith in the clipper so I used it on my sideburn area. It clipped hair fairly well and could be used to nicely trim a beard. Prior to getting the electric shaver, I had gone a week without shaving in order to really test out how well the shaver worked. It did not do well. It did fairly well from the jaw line up though I did have to make several passes over the same area to get all the hair removed. The neck region is an entirely different story, it did not want to cut any of the hair, regardless as to how many passes I made. I eventually gave in and used a traditional safety razor to clean up my neck area. Not to be discouraged by this experience because, hey, maybe the intended use is not for longer facial hair but as a daily shaver I started using it daily. The results were about the same, it handled the area above the jaw line quite nicely but really was not doing a very good job on the neck area, I really had to work at getting it to cut the hair there. In short, this electric razor has many nice qualities: provides a fairly close shave, is easy to clean, and includes a trimmer. I am sure it will work great for many individuals out there. Unfortunately, at least in my case, it does not do a great job at shaving many of the areas of my face. Whether this is the result of my particular facial hair or a wider spread thing is to be determined. I will likely keep using it but it has not by any means replaced my traditional razors.

    A Great Shaver, Perfectly Priced

I had my reservations about this Shaver when I first ordered, as I had never had a good electric one. However, after about 7 shaves in a little over two weeks, it's safe to say this little shaver is a keeper. It gets close, without any irritation, and works well, but not perfect, in the shower. I've yet to find a Shaver that performs valiantly in water, but at least this can do it, and produce a shave. A good product that gets five stars because of how nice it feels to use, the grips on the Shaver itself, and that it can perform under water.

The electric shaver is very easy to use both wet and dry. It took about a week for my skin to get used to the shaver as I had minor irritation on the first couple uses. I get pretty close shaves now. Clean up was simple as well. The only thing I thought that could be improved was the charger. Because the charger plug is built directly into the base I was unable to charge in the restroom. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an electric shaver.

I've never had any real luck with electric shavers. They typically just don't get close enough to the skin as a standard blade. I've only used this 3 times so far and unless I roll it over my face for about 30 minutes, I end up with the same results I had 20 years ago. I doesn't appear, at least for me, that technology in shavers has improved much over the years. I suppose I could just shave on the way to work in my car but that just doesn't appeal to me very much. I normally shave in the shower. One great thing about it is there won't be any cuts and nicks that I usually end up with after shaving with a normal blade when I'm rushed. Maybe my technique needs some work so I'll continue to use it when I'm not in hurry.
