I needed to replace an older Panasonic that has served me well for many years. The older one was not holding a charge very long so I thought I better get a new one. This razor is faster, less noisy (not silent), and definitely holds a charge much longer than my old one. The bigger head was a small worry, but it gets under the nose and close to the ears with no problems. Shaving doesn't take as long and my face is much smoother than when I used my old razor.

I have been looking for an electric razor for my husband that gives a close shave. It seems they all leave stubble and still looks like you have not shaved. This razor is the BEST it leaves your face nice and smooth and is quick and easy to use.

This is a great purchase! Works great wet or dry and the battery life is awesome (10 days or more) and charging time is very fast. Shave is comfortable and high quality. Prefer Panasonic to previous Braun models. Price point is excellent. Highly recommend.

I've owned 2 Arc4 Panasonic shavers, and still use them both. I decided to purchase this Arc5 because it was finally within my price range. $100 off, are you kidding me!? Thanks Best Buy! But besides price, this shaver is a great value! Wet/Dry, quick charging, and long battery life. The shave experience is even better, and takes half the time of my Arc4's. Cuts through thick hair like a hot knife through butter.

After reading other reviews I purchased last years model which has better graphic LED indicators on the handle. This saved me $30 for basically the same "mechanical" shaver. And unlike some of the negative review on noise level... This ES-LV65 Arc5 is extremely Quiet compared to my older Panasonic ES-LT41 this is replacing. I can confirm the positive reviews of a quick clean smooth shave in under 2 minutes and love the 5 shaving foils that tackle any type of scruff. I opted to not get the charging base kit that added 50% to the cost because this shaver will last 3-4 weeks on a single charge. I did allot of research before buying this and hope my review will help you with yours.

This is a great electric wet/dry shaver. I did a ton of research before deciding on the Panasonic Arc 5. This one was a leader amongst several other foil shavers for the money and for the shave. The directions and a couple of videos I wanted did warn that there is a learning curve as well as a period of adjustment for your face. And they weren’t lying. Learning to hold the Arc 5 at the right angle to make sure all of the foil surfaces are going over your face takes a bit of time, especially if your are used to only shaving with trimmers. Then as close of a shave as it gives your face will become a bit irritated during the first couple of uses. But instead of having shave intervals that were close together with the Arc 5 I spread the days apart to allow my face to rest. I have also found that using my trimmers first to take my beard stubble down as far as possible first then using the Arc 5 to get that baby-skin smooth feel works better for me.

Ive had the Arc5 for several months now and have not had any issues with this shaver. Battery is great, charges fast, and provides a close shave. Its also very easy to clean, would definitely recommend.

Updated from an older model of the same shaver. Panasonic are my favorite electric razors. This new model shaves closer with less irritation than my older one. It is fully submersible so it can be used in the shower. Easy to use, easy to clean.

BUY THIS RAZOR!!!! I don't normally leave reviews, but in this case, I felt I had to. My story; I've been a Braun user for the last 15 years. I thought there were no other razors out there as good as Braun, Man, was I wrong. I was a Braun Series 3 user for a long time. But the razor head screens keep breaking apart and disintegrating (a known problem with those razors). So after paying for new razor heads that failed prematurely, I decided to upgrade to a Series 5 with the ultrasonic cleaner which I had been currently using. But after less than 3 years of use the paint started peeling off the razor body near the razor head. Short story; Braun replaced the part only for the paint to peel again in less that 10 months. Time for a switch! I bought this razor with some skepticism since the price was a lot more reasonable than my Braun. Following that old adage, "you get what you pay for", floating around in the back of my mind had me semi-convinced this might be a mistake. It wasn't!!! This razor is quiet!!! And plows through my beard stubble as if it could be shaving 10 faces at the same time! My old Braun would hit thick beard (like my chin) and sound like it was bogging down like a lawn mower caught in thick grass about to die out. This Panasonic didn't skip a beat or even sound different. It also closely shaved areas of my face I would have go over and over again with my Braun. It doesn't leave my face irritated or skin hot from the shave. This is by far the closest shave I've ever had with an electric razor!!! Look out Braun!!! Bottom line: I like the shape of the razor, it's very quiet to use and the closest shave I've ever had. And the price point is perfect for me! I don't miss spending money on countless razor cleaner refills either. Thanks Panasonic!

Great product: fast, convenient, easy to use! This is my 3 shaver in the last 5 years (I like to update for the latest and greatest) and will go back to a razor blade.

This is a great electric shaver. I used to have an old Braun 8985 which was the best shaver ive ever owned. After years of use, I replaced it with the Braun 340s when it died out. The 340s only lasted half a year before breaking (and it wasn't a really great shaver to begin with, never did a good close shave but the trimmer was decent). So I decided to look for another top of the line shaver. The two top shavers as noted on multiple top 10 lists, and is highly reviewed on all retail sites were the Panasonic Arc 5 and the Braun 7 series. I ended up buying the Braun 7 series (the 797 to be exact, but the 790 is exactly the same without wet/dry function included). This was supposed to be the #1 shaver from what I researched. It had the highest reviews on most sites. I would say there was a lot good about it- Sturdy, sleek structure, felt very powerful. The problems I had was that it took many passes to get a clean shave, the motor felt erratic at times, and the trimmer did not sit right after a few weeks of use, meaning would have to constantly clean after use. So I returned it and went for my second choice. The Arc 5 had equally high reviews though just seemed to fall to second place on most lists, and I had never tried Panasonic before so I was hesitant. But comparing the two, I prefer the Arc 5. The shaver is very good. It feels a lot less powerful than the Braun, but for some reason gives a much faster cleaner cut for a thick beard. It also is soft to the skin (and it is softer in volume), a much less intense shave and for the better. The trimmer is about as flimsy as the Braun shaver, but at least it sits right without having to clean it after every use. The trim function is similar to Braun's but Im a little more pleased with its precision. I'm sticking with this one for the next few years. Hopefully it lasts. As for right now I'm very happy and would recommend for those with thick beards looking for a top of the line shaver. Hopefully Braun steps up it's game for future releases! Panasonic is my new fave.

I have been using rotary electric shavers for over 30 years. A few years ago l started to get razor burns on my left cheek only. Thinking it was because my razor was old, l bought the most advanced rotary blade shaver and cleaning system on the market. I still got the same razor burns, extremely frustrating. After a lot of research I decided to try the Panasonic Arc5. This shaver gives me a wonderful close shave quickly with no irritation or razor burns. The handy pop up trimmer takes care of those pesky long whiskers quickly with out having to change razor heads. I didn't buy the cleaning system because a little soap and water cleans it just fine and I didn't use the fancy cleaning system on my last shaver because it was too cumbersome.

I have used this thing daily for 7 months now. Single charge lasts about a week where each shave session takes about 2 to 3 minutes. The better life did not diminish at all after 7 months. It cuts very close and does not irritate my skin as much as the regular foam/razor affair. Also it takes shorter amount of time to shave compared to traditional razor. Also cleaning the machine is a breeze. And you do not need to buy a separate cleaning tool for this. Just need some liquid soap and warm water. It takes only 1 to 2 minutes to clean this thing.

With the floating head and lots of blades this razor gives me a real close smooth shave with one pass. No more having to go over the same area multiple times. The head locks if you prefer that and the pop-up trimmer works great to square off sideburns and trim close areas. It works wet or dry to give you the shave that you best prefer. It cleans easy and the display will show the charge level remaining so there are no surprises. You can even lock the switch so it won't inadvertently turn it off while shaving. Nice travel case too. All in all I really like this and would recommend it.

I really like the product because of how good the shave is and the battery life of the shaver. The only downside to it is since it's such a close shave it irritates the skin a little more than i'd like. Worth it, but worth noting if you have really sensitive skin.

It takes a while to adjust from a rotary shaver, but I wanted to try something different. The large head takes some getting used to and extra effort to shave under the jaw line. Pulling the skin to expose the whiskers is required. Battery life and quick recharging are a plus. It's a very good shaver and may be great with practice.

I have used the previously model Panasonic razor with 2 blades for several years which I must say has always done a good job, This Arc5 with 5 blades is unbelievable, I get a shave that is 100 % equal to a blade. There are many features about this wet dry razor to much to list. The razor holds a excellent charge and the re-charge is fast. The best $149.99 electric razor one can buy, to anyone on the fence I would highly recommend this razor. PS catch it on sale for $99.00

I have used an electric foil shaver for 40 years. My favorite ones were the Remington MS2 and MS3 series shavers. If you can find them new they cost $200-$300 dollars which is insane. So for a fraction of that cost, I tried this shaver. I considered the more expensive model with the cleaning and charging stand but opted for this one. I did not want to take up space on the counter with the charging/cleaning stand and I did not want to have to clean out the cleaner either. This one is easy to clean. One note is it did not come with a cleaning brush but I already have those. It does come with a travel case which is nice. The on/off/mode switch can be locked in the off position so this won't get turned on when packed in a suitcase. The feel of this razor is solid and smooth. The motor hums along not noisy and it does not vibrate my hand. I like the display which indicates several things, the mode, the running time, the charging status, and when it is time to clean it, The head can either be locked in place or left to flex, I tried both and they work equally well with the flex mode being a lot smoother. I tried both the hair length sensing mode and normal mode and both gave me a very close shave. No pinching and pulling on a 2-day old beard, just a smooth close shave. This shaver is a winner in all categories, performance, style and operation.
