I spent a lot of time researching cordless phones and the choices of manufacturers is a lot narrower than 10 years ago when I bought my last set. I have a home business so I need phones within a quick reach if we receive a call and getting as many as possible in the same package is important.
As far as the design, I prefer shorter, fatter phones so it's easier to hold on my shoulder. Panasonic did have an appropriate design but it quickly came and went. The other thing I miss is an easy "hold" feature so I can leave one phone in a room and pick up another phone in my office. I have to scroll through a menu now so it's less handy.
However, the main thing is the sound quality and range. Both are excellent and a vast improvement over my old set. The intercom feature is good, the caller broadcast is cool and I can now block calls. I haven't set it up with Bluetooth to our cell phones yet but it seems easy to do.

After doing a lot of research on a dwindling technology, I found this model to be the best combination of performance and value, with more emphasis on features and performance. The system has so many features, link-to-cell, Google assist, call block and yet they remain user friendly for those that don't particularly care about technology. Call quality, button layout, ergonomics, display are superb (just wish the screen would show all of the caller information) I.E. if a call comes through with a long name, the phone number will not be displayed, you'll need to press the arrow key to display the number.
What makes these phones remarkable is the ability to block telemarketers and robo calls. Block up to 250, you'll find that the memory fills up quick however. Talking caller ID is good, but no option to have it announce the phone number, only the name that is transmitted. Naturally some announcements are going to get botched up, but this isn't a quad core smartphone, but it is a solid cordless phone system.
As others have pointed out, Panasonic has opted to hardwire the AC adapters to the charging bases, save for the primary base station. This will annoy anyone who wants to fish the wire behind anything where space is tight. I have a night stand next to my bed, moving the whole bed just to hide the wires would be a big process. I used a 1 foot slim extension cord to resolve that issue and the a.c. adapter sits under the nightstand. Long story short, Panasonic should have made a detachable cord.
Lastly battery replacement is super convenient, no shrink wrapped packs with funky adapters that you'll never find replacements for in the future. Just don't put AAA disposable batteries in the phone, an older friend did that, yes they fit, no that's a bad idea!

Needed a new phone system with an intercom for upstairs/downstairs communications. It works well, sound is good. No internal interference with Wi-Fi or anything else noted - but two negatives for the system.
1 - The remote handset charging stations have WIRED chargers. Not plug ins. Not a big deal unless you are trying to get the charger or the station through the small hole in the headboard to get to the plug behind the bed, or the small hole in the desk.
2 - Transferring a call is a 5-6 step process. The intercom is great for announcing when dinner is ready or someone's is at the door, but call transfer is important and on this system it is a menu option, not a button or automatic feature when you intercom a station.
Overall hovering between 3 and 4. Giving it a 4 based on sound quality, battery life and other features.
Would recommend, but with the two caveats above. Some of the more expensive systems in the family may address the two issues.

We bought this phone set to replace an older one because we wanted more headsets, which were not available for the model we already had. This set is easy to program and use. We especially like the call block feature!

This is the best cordless phone I have ever had. It powers itself by it's hand set rechargeable batteries during a power failure, it has many programmable options, and you can block out up to 200 unwanted callers

This is my third set of Panasonic cordless phones over the past 15 years. They are great phones although one of them usually wears out every 5 years unlike the 40 year old trimline phone my parents have that still works. Still for a cordless that gets lots of use, it is reliable, with clear sound, lots of memory for speed dial, etc. This model is a step above the last set with great range, more intuitive features and nice balance.

We get good coverage on all 4 handsets in our 3 story house. Sound quality is good. Handsets are easy to use. My only complaint is that there are so many options it's hard to program.

My last phone system died in a lightning strike. This one has plenty of phone handsets and I love the one button block call capability. I also like the announcement of who is calling although it is usually too cryptic (just the text that fits on the screen). I tried using the baby monitor feature as a security device for a basement door but it picked up too much sound and constantly alarmed. It may work for its intended purpose of monitoring a baby.

Very pleased with this purchase not only because of the multiple co-ordinated handsets, but also because of the ease of the set-up. Being a retired, somewhat tech-challenged female, I was worried about the set-up process. Lo! and behold! Given the included instructions, I had the system set up within 2 hours. Still familiarizing myself with the multiple features, but have found the instructions to be clear and easy to comprehend.

Our last set of cordless phones was starting to cause problems, so I did some research and decided to stick with Panasonic. These phones are great in terms of clarity and simplicity of use. We have lots of stairs in our house, so we need lots of phones and all of the phones give us the same clear sound. Glad we stayed with Panasonic!
