Great color and picture sharpness. Color is good in bright or dark room. Surround sound is necessary for full effect of picture. Good choice. Had a Pioneer plasma before and 10 years later replaced and love the new technology.

I was looking for a new Plasma and the Magnolia associate showed me a brand new just returned TV perfect condition. He reduced the pricing below the current sales price. Excellent deal!

I was generally very happy with it. The picture quality is excellent. The preset modes are fantastic. Smoothing feature could use work though, as it tended to make the picture jump sometimes.
After 3 weeks, the picture went out suddenly, though sound still worked. Called Panasonic and I have a repair order with them, but the spare parts are apparently hugely back ordered. Been 2 weeks now and counting, with no ETA on when these parts are going to arrive. For the price I paid, I'm beyond livid.

I think I over paid for a ZT. My brother in-law purchased last years ST and I think his set is as good as the ZT.

I feel this TV is over-hyped . Does not show a whole lot better than my previous Samsung Plasma.

Reference Television

I mostly bought the ZT60 for reference quality video and it does not disappoint and I was lucky at the time to be in Magnolia when they had the special pricing in place.
In many ways, BB has stepped up their game big time.
I am experiencing little to no glare, no fan noise (well I can't hear it!) and no buzzing (can't hear that either). This panel is simply amazing for its stunning looks and great picture. I have never seen such amazing details emanating from a panel! The rich and inky blacks, life like color, awesome contrast and image transparency is incredible and in my honest opinion trumps Pioneer's Kuro in those areas.
By the way, I didn't buy the ZT for audio from the built in speakers because we all know flat panels don't excel in that area. Get yourself a decent sound bar or use your HT system for the audio. Personally, I believe video quality should be job number one.
If you have the cash buy it and if you have to save for it then do it. You will not be disappointed!

Ok this is my 4th plasma TV purchase and it kills my previous 3 tvs and 2 of them are THX certified and calibrated the 3rd is Pioneer Kuro PDP-6020FD . I had originally purchased the Samsung 60f8500 and had returned it for a buzzing issue. I thought that TV had a good picture until I turned this thing on. Actually when I first turned this TV on I thought I had made a huge mistake but that is because it was in the standard video setting. The minute I set it in THX Cinema I was in heaven and I saw shadow details and blacks that made charcoal look white. Hands down the best display I have ever seen. Keep in mind I owned a Pioneer Kuro PDP-6020FD which met an unfortunate death and got parted out for almost the price I originally paid for it. Panasonic will be missed in the plasma world but I think all companies are going to focus on 4k from here on out. <pointless to invest in one right now price vs content is way off> If you are in to apps, ect the Samsung F8500 series is probably the better TV for you. It has a decent picture and better remote, better apps, faster response time and a built in camera. The Z series scratched the camera but is built with a different screen and a studio master panel.

Best TV on the Market

I work at the Kildeer Best Buy and plasma is flat out the best TV technology on the market. It offers the most superb picture quality and is the best for watching tv in general, sports, movies and gaming. It sucks Panasonic is done making the plasma in December. I got this TV now before they were gone because they only made so many. If you want the best TV on the market pick one up now. Well worth the price. I refuse to buy LED's right now so thats why I picked up the best plasma right now so that I can wait a long time before buying a new TV. This TV is flawless in every catergory. Definitely recommend it.

Excellent Plasma TV

Plasma TV has the best picture. The Panasonic ZT 60 replaces the Samsung plasma TV that I cracked the screen. Looking at new Plasma TV's, the Panasonic has the best picture. Was going to purchase the Panasonic ST 60, but they have been on back order for months. Went to Best Buy weekly looking at Plasma to buy. Best Buy had the VT and the ZT plasmas on sale. For a few hundred dollars more, I purchased the ZT 60 which reviews have given as the best Plasma TV on the market. Unfortunately, I have read that Panasonic is going to discontinue the plasma tv in 2014. I still feel the Plasma has the best picture over the LED and LCD. Sales staff at Clearwater, Florida store were very helpful. Delivery and set up from Best Buy was great. Out of the box the picture the best I have ever seen. As good as the Sony K. Best Buy recommended that I have the TV calibrated after 100 hours use which would give me a better picture. Being a Silver rewards member, they said callibration was free.

The best TV out there, period.

After a whole lot of research, the general consensus is that the Panasonic ZT60/ZT65 is the best TV you can buy. There really isn't much more that needs to be said. I've seen large TVs before, and never been impressed with image tearing and pixelation, but none of that was present. I was even impressed with the stellar 3D. I would go so far as to say a blu-ray movie on this TV looks better than in a theater.
The only downside is the web connected part of the TV could be a little better. Its slightly slow to load, and you don't have as many features as a Samsung smart tv, but once you get into Netflix or whatever you want to watch, it works flawlessly.

SC board, SD board, and SU board issues

Unfortunately this appears to be a common issue developing with these Panasonic sets i.e the '7 blinks of death'! Several customers are complaining about it. The problem is caused by one, both, or all of the following boards: SC board, SD board, and SU board. Most commonly, the SC board is the one that has failed and because Panasonic have received so many complaints about this issue.
I am growing tired of no reply, no call back or if a call goes thru care rep only leaves 5-6 second message that is cut short with no information off v-mail message. Heard multiple time that my emails and faxes a have not been received by Panasonic even though fax receipt shows successful transmission.

BURN IN

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
After only about 3-4 months already had burn in. I watch mostly Discovery Channel and TruTv. This is a home TV not a business. Even with being a home TV, just by watching these channels, those two Tv channel logos are burned into the TV. Very disappointing after specifically asking about Plasma Burn in from the Magnolia Rep and being assured it wasn't an issue anymore much less on this TV.
