Everything Del Toro puts out is a work of art, making it a criterion just adds to the flavor.

Fantastic film in superb quality. I would recomend this release over the 4k version since this transfer was overseen by the director.

I owned this on dvd but wanted it on blu-ray. This movie is a must have for collectors as it is such a great one. Watched it twice already. I highly recommend.

When my husband first saw this he thought it would be a really cool case compared to the original. When we got it this is not what we expected at all. This is one of his favorite films so the film itself is no problem. By the way this film is in Spanish but with English subtitles. You can't change it that is how the film was intended. The case however is in a clear DVD like case. Still same height next to a blu ray but all that's different is the cover art and the box clear case shape it comes in. If you don't have this film then it will be a good purchase otherwise nothing special to me about it. Maybe if it had a digital copy added or something but we didn't need this second copy at all.

This is a great movie that is told in a unique fairy tale Style

this new edition fixes the picture issues with the first bluray. it looks beautiful and the sound is great. i just wish criterion releases were cheaper. if you love this movie spend the extra money. you can try and wait for a sale but these things almost never do
