The definitive way to play one of the best Mario RPGs if not one of the best Mario games ever made. With a strong visual presentation despite running at 30fps. Accessible but challenging combat, Strong characters and story. This is a must for anyone who has any interest in Mario.

TTYD is my favourite gamecube game and after decades of less than stellar attempts at capturing the magic again with the sequels it seems Nintendo finally realized the solution: remake it. The game is all prettied up from the GCN version. The music is so nice and even lets you listen to the classic soundtrack if you want, and it got some nice quality of life updates. Travel between areas is much quicker now with some new shortcuts, your coin maximum is significantly higher now (9999 vs 999), there's a nice bonus of extra coins when you beat a boss. There's even some new secret bosses that really push your skill with the action commands and learning how to build your power with badge choices. If you never got to play TTYD on gamecube or just want a nostalgic run this is a fantastic remake and very much worth it. Hopefully it inspires Nintendo to bring back the classic formula instead of reinventing the wheel each time. Now, Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass when?

Another great first title party Nintendo game that's well worth adding to the Switch library. Unlike the typical platformer Mario games though this does play in more of a RPG like genre but no worries as it's just as entertaining. Overall a game many Mario fans are sure to enjoy

The original is my favorite game of all time. This remake is a knock out of the park.

Great writing, engaging gameplay, the side quests are actually fun to do and the partner characters are don't bring down the good mood. Glad I was able to get this now when I couldn't years ago.

This is the best game ever made. I played the GC version like 100 times and still don't get tired of it. The HD version really makes it magic compared to the old one. Best game ever...I lost like..hours of sleep having fun last night.

game saved my marriage. I was in the brink of divorce and homelessness until I seen this masterpiece, 13:56 is when I realised I was the reason I was ruining my relationship with my wife. At 27:31 I went out for a walk to think about my life and my choices in this beautiful world. While I was walking home playing this, I decided to stop by the shop to get my wife her favourite flowers, tulips at 45:09. And finally at 58:42 I finally came back home, gave my wife the flowers that I got her and promised her that I will change things for the best. This game reminded me how simple things used to be. Even though I’m an homeless alcoholic that lives of eating dirt and drinking rain water I only need this game to survive. Thank you for everything. You are truly one of the best video games of all time.

What an amazing remaster/remake for this 20 year old game! I've always been one who usually passes on these because; A) There often is very little difference from the original version or B) It's different than the original, but a whole host of new bugs are introduced and/or poor optimization (Silent Hill HD Collection comes to mind). Not only does this remaster enhance the original with quality-of-improvements and graphics that make it look modern, but it's close enough to the original in "feel" and color palette that there were occasions I'd forget I wasn't on the GameCube! This was and still is my favorite of the "Mario RPG" sub genre, and I'm happy it'll live on and be rediscovered by younger people. If anything, I'm dismayed that it took Nintendo this long, and so late in the Switch's life cycle. Get it! Now!

This is the game to get you into RPGs especially if you don't play them. Its a nice mix of reactive gameplave and a fun and engaging overworld that keeps your attention and adds a lot of flair. Additionally its got a really good, funny yet heartfelt story. Do yourself a favor and give it a go

Paper mario is one of the franchises best spin-off titles that mario has to offer. Of all the paper mario games The thousand year door is the most acclaimed title. I personally think this is exaggerated especially now. While the game is great, it gets very repetitive fast and you might play it obsessively for a while and then fall off hard until you remember that you havent finished it yet. The characters are great but the story is alright. This remake makes the original better, but offers little more than convenience to play on modern systems. Overall it is not my favorite paper mario, but a fun game overall.

Already one of the best Nintendo RPGS gets a beautiful definitive release that i never thought would happen. Would recommend to anyone, especially for their first RPG.

As someone who had been wanting to play the original for years, this was a great opprtunity to finally get to do so, and it's also an excellent return to form for the series.

Excellent game - whether you played the original or if this is your first time playing Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, this game is fantastic! This remake looks and feels great to play. Excellent for all ages - funny moments that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

I never really played a Paper Mario game before and heard that this one was the best out of all of them. So when I heard thag Best Buy had a discount on this game, I had to check it out for myself and I'm really glad that I did! The game is fantastic! Amazing story, amazing gameplay, I can definitely see why people think so highly of this game!

This is a game for the ages. Absolute win! The levels of nostalgia you will reach from playing this game will leave feeling like a winner. Completely immersed myself in the story of these characters.
