The Paperlike screen protector, as you've probably been recommended and seen all the videos showcasing it on YouTube and stuff. But don't get sucked into the hype too much. It is a good protector, but it is certainly on the expensive side. At upwards of $50 for two protectors, you can find a lot of other alternatives to this online and elsewhere. First installing it can be a bit difficult depending on who you are. Even if you follow the tutorial very closely, it can be difficult to perfectly install it with no bubbles. Even I very carefully installed it and still had a couple tiny bubbles, but they dissipated away after a couple days. But once you get it first installed it feels really great. The protector really does feel almost like writing at paper and the quality isn't as degraded as other matte protectors, but not by much. Some people may make it seem as if you don't lose any quality at all from using the screen protector, but in reality there is a noticeable drop-off, especially if you have the OLED M4 iPad Pro, which makes it look significantly worse. Depending on how much you write and use your iPad with the protector on, the coating and protector does degrade quite significantly. For me, after using it daily for note taking and usage for about 2-3 months, the paper like feel that was present at the start was significantly less after that time. My protector write more similar to glass than when I first installed it by that time, and I even got a couple little greasy spots on my protector. Those greasy spots are pretty smooth and look as if your hands were very oily before touching the screen, except once you get them, they're there for good. At least it comes with two protectors, so I'd say when the quality diminishes significantly, you might as well install the second one. So overall it is a pretty good screen protector, but do know the high price and the compromises that come with using a paper/matte screen protector like this.

I previously purchased a knock off, and it’s not even close to the original paperlike. Believe me, pay the extra money and get the higher quality screen protector. Paperlike is perfect.

The Paperlike screen protector really improves the feel of writing and drawing on the iPad. The texture adds just the right amount of resistance, so using the Apple Pencil feels more like paper instead of slippery glass. It also cuts down glare, which makes it easier to use in bright light. Installation takes patience to get it perfectly aligned and bubble-free, but once it’s on, it stays in place and works well. The matte finish does slightly reduce the sharpness of the OLED display, but for me the better handwriting control is worth it. If you take a lot of notes or sketch often, this is a great accessory to have.

the paper like screen protector is good a product I gave it 4 stars because the price is crazy. I decided to splurge and buy it since I got the iPad and apple pencil pro on sale. 2 comes in a pack installation is simple. It feels like your writing with a smooth pen or a mechanical pencil that you've been writing with for awhile and didn't rotate

Attaching my Paperlike Screen protector to my 11” iPad Air was absolutely seamless! The directions were simple and easy to follow. The screen smooth (just like paper), which makes using my Apple Pencil easy. I now feel at ease that my screen is protected on my brand new iPad! I love the matte finish.

This screen makes me feel like I have more control when I’m writing on my iPad. It was pretty tedious to put on, I watched the video. Because of that I asked a member of geek squad to help me put it on. He didn’t use any of the tools provided to install the screen. So he ended up putting it on crooked and when I put my case back on it lifted. I spoke to a manager about it, but she stated that I could try and put the other one on, but they couldn’t refund me. Ok. I went home, and followed the directions of the video. To my surprise, I did ok (better than the guy from geek squad). The only disappointment about this purchase is that, because the geek squad guy didn’t follow directions and put the screen on too close to where the case lifted it, I’m out the extra protector. I feel like I paid 45 dollars for one protector instead of two. I told the manager, I would have appreciated if the guy was honest and told me he couldn’t do it, instead of just doing it and, wasting a protector.

A lot better than my old paper like screen protector from some other company. I really like the clarity of the screen it leaves after putting it. I love drawing with it and I highly recommend this to other artists for that traditional paperweight feel.

Smoother than writing on paper, a little challenging to put on, slightly fuzzy screen quality after applying but overall easy to write on. Very smooth when touching the screen, definitely better than the screen without anything on it. I have not tried any other screen protector to compare.

My favorite screen protectors for my iPad. It feels just like I’m writing in a notebook and I personally love it for drawing as well. It does not offer protection though, so make sure to have a durable case!

I’ve had this Paperlike protector on my iPad for about a week now and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. Writing with the Apple Pencil feels more controlled—almost like paper—and it hasn’t scratched or caused any issues. Not too grainy, and the anti-glare finish helps too. Happy with it!

This was the one matte screen protector offered in store so I purchased it with my iPad. Afterwards I looked at similar versions online. Though they are cheaper, it seems like this product is built better. You’ll always lose some of the “sharpness” when using a matte screen protector, but I don’t ever notice it. And there is some “scratching” with the pen, but again, it’s not something I notice when I use the iPad. The feel of using the Paperlike on the iPad - the texture and control - are absolutely worth it.

Really does feel like writing on paper! Plus this screen protector is so clear and does not distort the images or my digital drawings. Definitely a must!

love the paper feel of the protector. application process was unpleasant for me but may be easier for others. so far has caused no wear and tear on my apple pencil.
