    This does to Natalie's music what Unplugged did to her former band, 10,000 Maniacs. It makes the music more accessible to a larger audience. Natalie Merchant fans will enjoy the new take on the old classics and her soothing voice still makes these pieces timeless. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I miss the edgy guitar playing of Jen Turner that were key in the original versions. In many ways the guitar playing was an important element in the signature sound of the Tigerlily album.

    THIS WAS A CD THAT AT FIRST I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED IN.....IT IS RE-RECORDINGS OF THE ORIGINAL SONGS...AND IS VERY SLOW, YOU ALMOST DON'T RECOGNIZE THAT IT IS THE SAME SONGS !!!! BUT AFTER LISTENING TO IT SEVERAL TIMES I GREW TO APPRECIATE THE NEWER VERSIONS. IF YOU WANT A RELAXING, THOUGHT PRODUCING CD, THEN THIS IS FOR YOU.

    This is an absolutely amazing documentary on the career and life of Natalie Merchant. it spans her entire career including all the wonderful humanitarian work that she does. She's a force of nature!
