My original copy of Painoid is in ok shape but the cover is damaged so when I saw this new version I decided to pick it up. I'm very happy with this re release. The fact that it is pressed on blue vinyl was a nice surprise, but records always come down to sound quality. This record is a substantial improvement next to my old copy. The detail more noticeable and the vinyl is quiet. IMO side 1 is one of the most perfect album sides ever recorded. It is cohesive and each song compliments the others. Three of the songs on side one are Black Sabbath's most well known songs. This album is a highlight in rock music history.

It was great finding this album on the shelf of the local Best Buy, especially after their CD section has basically been gutted and gotten so small. I was shocked to see a small section of vinyl. Even more so to see some really great titles. If you're a Sabbath fan, you already know how great this album is. If you're unfamiliar with the magic of Black Sabbath, this is a good place to start. You get a mix of hits (Iron Man, Paranoid, and War Pigs) and some fantastic deeper cuts like Electric Funeral, Hand of Doom, etc. Buy it.

The record itself is what I expected. Good quality. Sounds great. As for the music if you know this album then you know. If you haven't heard it just buy it and let your mind be blown with the awesomeness!

Great remastering of a classic album by The Godfather’s of Heavy Metal. Playback was perfect and the album has some great liner notes as well!

I am a big fan of older rock music and this was a great find. None of the noise present in vintage vinyl but all of the sound and soul. This LP plays very well with no noise or popping.

    Shock & Awe!

I believe my original vinyl album was confiscated by my mother who was somehow shocked by Black Sabbath or the demonization of rock music in general. Meanwhile, I was in total awe of "Paranoid." Obviously, I replaced that copy only to, years later, have it permanently borrowed by one of my good friends - it's cool. That being replaced by CD of course. Now we've come full circle: Limited Edition 180 gram blue vinyl Remastered. Fifty years later the sound is just as awesome as it was half a century ago. Thanks Warner Brothers / Rhino for the cool Reissue, blue vinyl, gatefold, and all.

sounds great on my new turntable. best comparison is LED and regular old light bulbs. The old old bulbs were warm light the new LED is white and cold. Vinyl is warm and CD is cold

This is the quintessential metal album and vinyl is the only way it should be experienced. Sounds so good. They did a great job remastering it.

Paranoid is a pivotal moment in rock and roll. Taking the guitar-bass-drums 3-piece blues concept and adding a "mad-man" of a singer in Ozzy Osbourne, the band paved the way for millions of acts that followed whether they chose to acknowledge it or not. Iron Maiden, The Ramones, Metallica and Nirvana just to name a few. Black Sabbath gave birth to a long lineage that runs through the past 50 years. Honestly, if you don’t own Paranoid, you simply don’t get rock and roll.

This is the definitive Black Sabbath album. And nothing beats the true analog sound of vinyl on a good turntable and system.

The LP did not disappoint. Very good master, and was not warped. Also, the fact that it was a blue colored LP was a nice addition.
