Ariel Kleiman had only directed a handful of short films before entering the world of international cinema last year with PARTISAN; a strange tale of a secret city in a foreign future perhaps not so far off. Make no mistake: this is NOT a science fiction film. It's almost a dystopian tale, but it centers around the utopian enclave created by the hardened but gentle Gregori (Vincent Cassel) for the raising of children outside the conventional failures of standard society. But it's not all talky politico-babble either, so don't run and hide. A captivating and personal story about coming of age, learning the assassin's trade & discovering, as a child, the hypocrisies of adulthood required to reign & protect. Just watch it.

Worth a watch for its Artistry but the deep subject matter is never fully thought out and seems a shortcut with its ambiguous storytelling. Much needed background to make it convincing and insightful is never supplied to the viewer and that does this ambitious little Film a disservice.

I liked this film and Vincent Cassel is my favorite actor.

Vincent Cassel plays the leader of a cult. His acting is brilliant, and I also recommend watching his other films like 'Mesrine' and 'La Haine'.

The plot is intriguing and the execution was great. Great characters, great story, and surprisingly good for what little it had.

Very slow movie. Only 2 or 3 words the first 10 min of movie.
