This movie is about the Boston Marathon bombing.it is told thru one police officer's eyes (Mark Wahlberg) It is pretty hard to watch at times,due to the horrible injuries sustained in the blast. The movie moves right along,with lots of action. Since we all know how it ends,there is no ""gotcha" moment. It is a good movie

I didn't know what to expect from this movie, but found Patriot Day to be one of the best movies I've seen in 2017. Now in terms of the 4K PQ it's not much better than the standard Blu Ray. HDR is what makes this movie shine, and near the end with the gun battle is when I appreciated the 4k disc over the Blu Ray.

This movie appears to do justice to the events that transpired during the Boston Marathon bombing. I had somewhat low expectations for this film beyond a good documentary, but I actually found myself on the edge of my seat for most of it because of how the filmmakers and actors were able to bring the events to life.

I really liked this this movie when it first came out, and when the 4K Blu-ray version went on sale, I decided to buy it. The picture is just beautiful, and I thought the story was very well-told and riveting. This is a great rendition of a very sad event in Boston's history and Mark Wahlberg is terrific.

The only I'm a little mad is they said if you spend $50. On movies you give me $10.00 gift card, and I don't reach the $50. So the cashier suggested take another movie and you have the gift card, I do it and when I paid she said the movies I brought don't apply for the offer. I go really mad that day.

Great movie about the events that lead up to the bombings during the Patriot's Day race in Boston. Well put together and has a lot of facts and littler things that normal people would not have known about. I would recommend this for all except certain aged children because there are some graphic moments.

Excellent movie and outstanding cast! This movie really portrayed the horrible incident that occurred with the Boston Marathon and captured the true spirit of the community and how they came together to overcome this tragedy. Great movie and I highly recommend, just be sure to have some tissues near by.

What a great movies is was Mark Wahlberg and the cast was incredible. I work in Boston so I was particularly struck by the story. Pretty much to the facts about what happened during that terrible day and the aftermath. I just wish 4K Blu-rays have the ability to go full screen instead of letterbox.

Wahlberg and cast performed parts with excellence. Amazed at the process that the authorities under took in find the terrorists and what the locals , especially the injured families under went in the process of healing." Boston Strong" is an underestimate Boston is Strong , Awesome and Enduring.

This movie wasn't my choice, my wife wanted it, we got it, I'm glad that we did. This was much better than I expected it to be, got into the movie from the beginning and really liked it. Great story line and enough action for me. Wasn't over done like some movies that are based on a true story.

This movie brought a heart-wrenching real terrorist disaster to the screen, while at the same time it brought out the heart-warming, caring stories of how strangers became friends for life by helping each other through this terrible tragedy! At times it was a tear-jerker, but worth watching!

Even though I knew the story beforehand, I was still on the edge of my seat from the beginning. This movie was a great portrayal of the actual events. I really enjoyed seeing the actual victims at the end of the movie too. I am a huge Mark Wahlberg fan and once again, he does not disappoint!

A fascinating in-depth procedural about the before-and-after of the bombings during the Boston Marathon. An outstanding cast, from top to bottom, brings to life the harrowing events. This movie far exceeded my expectations and was among the most pleasant movie surprises of recent memory.

Patriot's Day was an amazing movie. It really got down into the depth of what happened at the Boston Marathon Bombing and what law enforcement dealt with during their investigation. There were many things I didn't know that were brought to light. I definitely recommend it.

Overall, I think this is a very well made movie and the cast/director clearly care about telling the story properly. It's a (mostly) factual account of the events the day of the bombing and the days following. The city and it citizens are represented well. Absolutely worth seeing.

This is excellent thriller suspense movie lead by an superb cast of Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Bacon, and John Goodman. Great storyline of the terrorist attacks in Boston on Patriot's Day. Along with the superb extras on this Blue Ray Disc you cant help but be moved by this movie experience.

If you like movies based on true stories, this is for you. Set against the backdrop of the Boston Marathon bombing a few years ago, this film tells the behind the scenes story of how the criminals were brought to justice. Engaging and thrilling, this is a must own and watch.

I'm from the Boston area so lived through all these events. The movie gets the atmosphere spot on. Even though the main character is fiction, I was alright with it as he was being used to drive the narrative of the story. There were a couple of scenes near the end though, where it would have made sense for him not to be involved (and that's why I took away a star). A very good movie, and well worth watching.

Most of us know what happened at the Boston marathon when it got bombed by terrorists. This movie tells the story from the perspective of a police officer involved in the chaos of the situation and its immediate aftermath. Very well done, but a lot of vulgar language.

Hard to use the word "enjoy" when watching a movie based on an actual terroristic event but I thought the acting was really good, especially Mark Wahlberg! The story of the events stayed pretty close to what happened, based on everything I read at the time.
