As a Christmas gift for my sons they were lacking for the price. Cheaper headsets they already had sound quality was just as good. Returned them within a week.

Overall these headphones are fantastic. My only complaint is a little bit of static noise when there's a certain pitch of bass.

Why is it so hard to make a foam donut that fits comfortable around an ear? Everything else is fine. Good value for $80.

I was not happy with the comfortablity these had. I swithed to the turtle beaches.

I was looking for a wireless headset and it says wireless right on the box just to find out its not. Not worth the buy. There are headset with the same quality that are less expensive

The headset is extremely good for the price and I love that it is wireless from the xbox.

Bought them for my son to use with his x-box one. He say's they are the best!!

These work good just be careful and not brake them.

For $100 I was expecting more. These looked and felt extremely cheap. The sound was awful. I like the way the microphone when not in use was out of the way. Other than that I would spend my money on a different pair.

This headset was great for console use. It had great features for changing between chat channels and volume control. The headset may have lasted about 1 month of moderate use. The plastic headband portion was extremely cheap (no flexibility or give) and cracked while removing it from my head. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they'd provide a new one, however never responded after stating they'd email a shipping label. Extremely disappointed in this product support.

Head strap has already broken...minimum use..put it on and crack...would not recommend

While I must admit, this is my first headset. I want to write a review because there are not many out there for this particular one. I did not buy this headset at best buy because they were out of stock. First off, if you have not updated your controllers, or need to for the headset. This does NOT come with a USB cord to do so. This head set has mic monitoring, which I love because I hate to feel like my ears are plugged. This is one of the reasons I decided to buy this headset. Turtle Beach Four and Seven, do not have mic monitoring. The sound quality was very good, although I wish it was surround sound. There was some crackling during loud music/bass moments in the game (I play some campaign on COD:Ghosts to test) However, during multiplayer, there was none. You could hear foot steps and even flies around garbage clearly. These DO light up, however the color advertised (green) was not what they had for Xbox One.(at multiple retailers) The color is actually blue. I really didn't care either way. There is a toggle switch on the side of the adapter pad (comes with no need to buy Microsoft's Xbox adapter), where you can shut the lights off. head set is light and made mostly of plastic. At first I was a lil disappointed at the "cheap" feel, but they seem sturdy enough, but light. The extra padding at the back of the ear was welcomed after playing a couple hours. these have a lower profile than some I've seen. The mic is retractable, which is nice when I am not playing with a friend. I don't have to have something bobbing in front of my face. Hope this helped!

I have had these headphones for a little over a month and I have to say I am very pleased with the product. I have never owned or used a wired headset before these. Now I realize that I have been missing out. To start, the look of the headphones definitely stand out in a good way. I love that they light up that Xbox green color behind the clear window on the ears. It makes it look "futuristic". Speaking of the light, there is a button to turn it off just in case you don't want it on all the time . Other than that, the headphones are pretty sleek in black with green accents. They are of high build quality and feel pretty sturdy. Right off the bat I noticed that the headphones were very comfortable. There is sufficient padding over the top of your head and around your ears. The headphones fit snug around my head but not in a way that's too tight. These are adjustable so they can be adjusted to your own preference. There is a subtle built in mic on the left side that is designed in an unobtrusive way. It can be extended to get closer to your mouth but I have found that unnecessary as it picks up sound very well. I have been told by friends that I play with that I sound clear and that they didn't notice much background noise. They headphones connect to the controller very well and look the part of the Xbox controller. They come with an Xbox controller adapter. What's really nice is you have buttons on the adapter to adjust the volume of both the game and voice separately. So if someone's mouth is too close to the mic you can lower their voice without affecting game volume. The buttons are labeled very clearly as not to confuse you. As I stated earlier, the button to turn off the headphone light is located on the adapter of the headphones. Also, there is a big mute button that lights up so you clearly know when its selected. Oh, almost forgot to mention it does come with an extra standard audio cord to connect to other devices such as your phone, tablet, etc. Finally on to the sound. The sound is pretty dang amazing and immersive. Its full, its loud, and has sufficient bass. I'm used to listening to sound through a soundbar connected to my TV. After using these headphones I'm noticing that I'm hearing different and more sounds from the game while also picking up on NPC chatter that I never heard before through the soundbar. Its also very cool to be able to hear gunfire coming from your left more intensely in the left headphone than the right. Overall, I am very glad I picked up these headphones. The combination of features, sound, comfort, and looks make these a great product. I can say that these headphones have added an extra dynamic to my gaming experience in a positive way. You are getting a high quality product at a good price point. Hands down I would recommend these to others.

This headset was not a first choice for me, at all, due to the light up feature. My first headset for the X-1, were the Polk 4Shot, which were nice, but chose not to keep them due to the cost; they didn't sound that good! I picked up the Turtlebeach XO ONE's, which actually sounded better than the Polk's. However, I got a bad set, in which the Turtlebeach adapter ruined the adapter end of my X-1 controller. And that 's a whole other story. I went to return the Turtlebeach's and saw that these Afterglows were on sale for $79, and chose to give them a try due to all the positive reviews. To my amazement, this is by far one of the best headsets I've ever used and owned. PROS: Astounding sound with great volume to them. Especially when compared to the Polks and XO's. I thought I felt immersed with the XO's, these Afterglows are much better. I like that I can turn off the light feature, which my 5-yr old loves. They are cool looking when on, but they don't need the lighting gimmick, because they really sound that good. Though slightly bulky, they are not very heavy, and have a good fit to them. CONS: this is my personal opinion, but I know people like when a headset blocks out the surrounding noise, which these do really well. Due to the fact that I'm a father of 2-little monsters, I can't hear them as well as I'd like to. Guess it's due to the pleather around the ears, but it is nice. All in all, a great headset, even at full price of $99, they are well worth it. I highly recommend this headset to any gamer on the fence about which headset to get.
