Love this guitar!! It works amazing and compared to my older Rock Band guitars this guitar is buttery smooth. The frets feel really good as well. I do have a problem with the placement of the start and select buttons as they are awkwardly placed so activating star power is definitely not recommended that way. It’s not enough of a con to drop it down one star however. Recommend this purchase for sure!

Great controller. Love being able to play Muisc Festival in Fortnite and clone hero. Zero issues so far. Did have to download something to get it working with ch but otherwise perfect so far.

I enjoyed it but i really didnt use it as much as i thought i would. You use it for 2 months and then the hype is kinda over. Would definitely think hard on if spending $140 is worth it.

I will say. I have a few old guitar hero guitars from the past along with rockband guitars. I like the build, it is solid, all buttons are nicely placed. The analogue stick on its own is a nice addition. I have the PS strat, Les Paul, the Xbox wired xplorer, which are all honestly phenomenal (clicky strum). But to have a no latency wireless guitar with great battery life, I think this is a perfect substitute if you don’t want an OLD USED piece of equipment. Easy setup for clone hero as well!

I like it, it’s a pretty good guitar controller. I definitely think it’s a bit pricey though, but other than that everything arrived on time and the guitar controller worked perfectly.

You probably found this by looking up the same thing I did. You wanted a guitar for your PC and wanted to know what the best options were. I found quite a few people that talked about this one so I decided to check it out. Short of a custom guitar I can’t see how any guitar would be better. Yeah you could get one from the Xbox 360 that’s wired but those are also a little clunky being slightly smaller then what would feel quite right. This guitar is of course wireless with a dongle so it installs most of the drivers automatically. I got this for clone hero and needed to install a controller mapper but that was so easy just a simple YouTube video and I was playing within 10 minutes out the box. No extra Bluetooth adapter malarkey the other guitars were trying to say we needed just one mapper for clone hero and the PC recognizes the controller already so I’m sure any steam games would work flawlessly as well and I’m not entirely sure you’d even need the key mapper. Like I said definitely the best option for your money

I am 26 years old and have been playing rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band since my childhood. I was thrilled to hear about Fortnite Festival and a new guitar controller being made. This guitar controller truly feels like a next-gen guitar controller. The fret buttons feel great and I appreciate the USB-C charging port. Also, a USB to USB-C charging cable is included in the box. The guitar controller works flawlessly with Rock Band 4. I am so happy I was able to get one before they sold out.

Please make sure you are aware that this is NOT compatible with Guitar Hero games. But if you are looking to play Rock Band and your original guitar is no longer working then this is for you. Finding a Rock Band guitar in the market is very expensive, over $100 and then you have to worry about if the buttons are working or not. The build quality of this is really good. The good, or the bad thing about this guitar is the strum bar and that all comes down to preference. If you like the old guitars where you hear the clicking of the stum bar, then you may not like this one. The stum bar on this is silent. I use headphones when I play so I could care less but I do know of people who like that clicking sound when playing.

I got this controller for PC, I didn’t want to buy a 20 year old guitar controller that’s on its last legs. Yes, you can also buy a clicky strumbar replacement if you are an elitist . It works great, you need additional software to play games like Clone Hero, but every game works fine. If you just want to play Fortnite Festival it works natively

As described by the manufacturer, it does work "plug-and-play" on Windows. Just know that programs such as Phase Shift do not support newer controller tech such as this.

Its been at least a decade since I last picked up a plastic guitar. In that time, I had a daughter, gave her an appreciation of what is now considered classic rock, and taught her to read via karaoke. To fine tune her pitch, I went and bought Rock Band 4 strictly for the singing, since buying a used guitar controller that worked on the newest systems was like hunting for treasure. When PDP hinted at the upcoming guitar controller, I knew I had to get two. Now my wife, daughter and I are akl jamming out to the hubdreds of songs I have collected over the years. The riffmaster fits my hands like an old friend. Everything feels great, the strum bar isn't too mushy, the fret buttons push down nicely, its not too clicky. Now PDP needs to come out with a drum set and Harmonix needs to cone out with some sort of sweetheart deal to unlock RB3 exports (I missed the window when it happened forever ago) and all my rocking dreams will come true

3 months in and I'd say I'm overall very happy with the guitar, it's not perfect though. Overdrive/star power can be a pain to activate, they should have included a physical button near the palm resting area. And I just never was the biggest fan of the rock and style fret buttons and the silent strum bar, I REALLY miss that GH click. But just to casually get back into it after a lot of years, I'd definitely recommend over trying to deal with old models, adapters and such. If you really want to "try hard", look into custom Etsy builds.

    After a month of use...

So, I've been using this for about a month now. It's "decent". Not bad but not good either. The guitar will feel very similar to typical Rockband guitars being both the Strat & Jaguar. If you like the frets & strum bar from those guitars, it'll feel the same in that aspect. However the tilt sensor is really annoying. Sometimes you have to go to a full or near full vertical tilt to get it to activate & then it won't register till you're back to normal horizontal playing. Other times the sensor just activates whenever it wants. The strum bar feels semi mushy after some use & it squeaks a bit now as well. There is no button to activate the star power / overdrive like on the Strat, at least not in the same place. I haven't checked to see if what is that same button will activate because it's so far out of place that it's basically useless to even try at that points & just use the tilt instead. Xbox button plus other buttons are oddly placed & take getting used to where the new locations are. Charge cable already failed after 2 uses. Whammy bar is odd, feels longer than the Strat & gets in the way at times when trying to use it & it also falls down out of place. The joystick is useless for Rockband but works for Fortnite festival. Also not sure what the PDP button does. Nothing as far as I can tell. All in all, it's decent especially if you need a new one but it could've been so much better. They really should've reached out to a lot of the veteran Rockband player base that still play the game for a QA / R&D on it before releasing. It's pretty clear that this one will need mods for fret & strum fixes in the future like the old RB guitars do. I'd recommend but purely based on that these are the only instruments that have been made in years.

I impulsively bought this and didn’t know how to use it. I tried using it in Fortnite Festival and it works really well. It's like you're playing Guitar Hero. (LOL basically) It is for sure recommended on those people who want to learn how to play rhythm games using Riffmaster guitar!
