This remote is amazing. I was skeptical on buying but I decided to get just to try. I ended up loving but because you can pretty much do anything media with your xbox without having to use your controller. Cord cutters will definitely love this.

I looked everywhere and could only find the Talon or the Original Xbox One. I was hoping to find a much nicer media remote with more options like full TV, Cable, Sat and Xbox. This remote works very well and better then the original accessory remote from Microsoft. If you are looking for a media remote to control your Xbox One and basic TV functions this is it. Priced well vs the Microsoft remote. The buttons are backlit which is nice, but it would have been nice if the X, A, Y, B buttons were also backlit. The remote lights up when it feels motion which is cool. I’d recommend this one over the original Xbox remote.

It's nothing fancy and there's no real functionality added here that can't be accomplished by using an Xbox One controller. That said, it's an easy to use and reliable alternative to buying another expensive controller if you happen to be using the box as primarily a media device.

Makes setting up the XBox and all games / Blu-Ray, etc, sooooo, much easier than trying to do it through a controller. Wasn't sure if I was going to add it to the 'bundle' but really glad I did!! It is so easy to use, and love the fact that when it is moved, it automatically backlights the keys (just wish you could set the time the light stays on, as it is short and sometimes have to keep moving it around a bit to get everything keyed in when in a dark room), but aside from that minor issue, love the remote and highly recommend it.. !!

I love having the remote option to use instead of trying to figure my way around using an X Box controller; which I confess, confuses me a bit when trying to do simple tasks. I love the rubberized feeling of it which makes it stay put.

This Xbox One remote is by far the best option for a media remote available right now. It has a great feel to it and the buttons light up when you pick it up so it’s easy to see in a dark room. Highly recommend it if you use your Xbox for streaming, TV shows or movies.

This remote works well and lets you navigate your Xbox without a controller. It is perfect for watching shows on Netflix or Hulu, as you don’t have to keep turning your controller back on every time you want to do something.

Very easy to use for the xbox. Controls the blue ray player and tv with no problems. It is line of sight but was not a deal breaker.

Great device! Beats having to use the controller to navigate through menus and movie watching options. Excellent compatibility with my XBOX ONE S. It could have a few more options for movie watching, but for the price, it works wonderfully for my needs, and has WAY more functionality than the official Microsoft media remote. Also, it works on all the XBOX ONE units in the house(as it should) which cuts down on having multiple remotes cluttering up space. Definitely recommended!

Great working remote, I have been using it since I bought it with absolutely no issues. I have my cable box hooked up to my xbox and I'm able to use the remote to change channels and control my sound bar...it's awesome!

I usually match accessories and console brands but the backlight got my attention. The Xbox brand version is also too small. This feels natural and didn’t spend a ton of time trying to link the two was also nice.

I picked this remote up for my Xbox One S to use instead of the controller for controlling media functions - especially the Blu-Ray player. She finds a traditional remote more straightforward to use, and even I feel the same when it comes to settling down to watch a movie. The backlit buttons are a nice touch. Also, size is a personal preference, but I like the fact that this is larger than the Microsoft remote, more like the typical Blu-Ray player remotes I'm used to and less likely to get lost in the sofa.

If you are going to use your xbox for media other than gaming you need this remote. It works great and I like how it lights up as soon as you pick up the remote. You can program this remote to control the tv and sound system. The only issue is typing (when you have to enter usernames or passwords) There still isn't a good solution to this with this remote. I have tried other (non Microsoft brand) remotes that include a keyboard, but they suffered from either poor connection or malfunctioning keyboards.

An old fashion remote is nice to have around. It's easier for my wife to control the Xbox, which we use as a media hub. It's honestly nicer to quickly adjust volume levels during video streaming rather than unlocking my phone and navigating back to the Xbox app. Remote feels nice in the hand though the texture does smudge if your hands are dirty or greasy at all. No setup required... just pull the tab to connect the included battery and it syncs right up. My only wish is that the x,b,a,y buttons lit up with the rest.

This remote makes using the media player and bluray easier to navigate. As others have mentioned , it would be nice if the illuminated buttons stayed lit longer when using so to be able to see it better in a darkened room

We were using the Xbox controller forever to control the console apps, Hulu, Netflix etc. And having connection issues with the controller to the Xbox as most Xbox owners know. But since we started using this remote I haven’t had any dropped connection issues between the console and controller. The remote is easy to use and the fact that it has a motion detected backlight is great after the sun goes down.

I bought this remote to help me navigate my way thru the apps and to use it to rewind and fast forward thru movies. For those reasons this remote is easier and better than the remote.

I was pretty skeptical at first when buying this instead of Microsoft's(which cost more), but it turned out to work pretty good. The size of the remote feels good in the hand and the Motion-activated backlit buttons are a plus!! I just wished they would of had the navigation buttons raised instead of flushed with the remote, but that's just a matter of preference. I gave it only 4 Stars because the Volume buttons are a bit hinky at times, you'll have to really point the remote at your Xbox One when using those.

My wife was needing something to be able to watch Netflix and Hulu on the Xbox One but kept getting frustrated when the Xbox controllers would power off. This remote was the perfect solution and a bonus I did not see anywhere in the description is the buttons light up when remote is picked up so it is perfect in the dark too. Excellent if all you wanting to do is navigate/operate most apps and the Xbox menu (not for games).

This product is amazing as long as Xbox is not hidden. It needs a direct line of site to work(not like regular controller). You also need an Xbox connect or an IR blaster ($5) . After that everything works awesome. I cut the cord completely and this remote controllers my tv, av reciever and xbox, Will also easily control cable box. I love it after figuring all this out. ( There is not too much info on this product out there)
