I went and tried out a lot of different Cajon's and this one is by far the best sounding one for the money. The more expensive one's still didn't measure up. The bass sound is so deep and the snare is crisp! The jingles are a nice added touch for more versatility. Totally happy with this Cajon!

I've played other cajons, and although there are differences from one to another in regard to the bass, the snare, etc., most of them have a pretty similar sound. This one has good bass and typical snare, but that's not the reason I bought it. Obviously I wanted to try this jingle thing, which at first sounded stupid and cheap like jingle bells on Christmas. But man, was I surprised! It was so cool to first start normal, then add just a tad bit of the left jingle, then bring it a little bit of the right, then all left, or all of the right, or all on one and half on the other, etc. It was awesome to hear how that can make so many sound changes. This was unplugged and I'm looking forward to hearing it with a mic on the soundboard! Definitely worth the purchase by far.

I love this drum! Has a full sound. I do a lot of acoustic sets, and it's perfect. If mic'd properly could also be used in a full band format.
