    Purchased this because my young nephew just wanted to watch a World War II film about Pearl Harbor.I personally prefer to watch Tora!Tora!Tora!, but haven't found it on disc or digital yet. The combat sequences are good, the love story part is a bit meh. Not a bad movie, just not what I'd prefer.

    Saw it when it first came out in May 2001. Bought it on bluray. Many parallels to what occured before attack on Pearl & Dolittle Raid to 9/11. Glad to see them naming future Ford class supercarrier USS Doris Miller (CVN-81) after Cook 3rd class Doris Miller. He was awarded the Navy Cross for his heroric actions during the attack on Pearl. It's time we name our capital ships after war heroes & not just Presidents. History Channel documentary on disc was also excellent.
