This is a great SmartWatch with all of the essential features put on the max. Battery life is insane, connectivity to your phone is always strong, and there is a huge selection of apps from both the official company and third-party Developers. The only problem I have with this watch is that the charger may come loose from the watch every once in awhile, even though it is a small problem I felt the need to put it in this review. All in all this is a great watch for beginner Smartwatch owners and for any experienced Smartwatch users.

I will highlight the pros and why I didn't give it a 5 star rating. The GOOD: Great battery life, low profile, light weight, you can actually go swimming with it, water resistant up to 90 ft, same old pebble interface I love, no heart rate on this model but the new heart rate monitor is known to be inaccurate and causing the battery to drain fast. The BAD: Pebble just went out of business, looking into the future the functionality of this watch is uncertain at this time. Pebble says they will continue to support the apps and the Pebble eco-system through 2017, Fitbit bought their intellectual property and software so there is a possibility that Fitbit will continue to support Pebble watches. I knew this before hand and still decided to buy anyway, because there is no other watch out there that will do all the things the Pebble does. Hopefully the apps will continue to work beyond 2017 and Fitbit picks up where Pebble left off.

I got this watch a great price ($69) on BestBuy on Black Friday 2016. When I was looking at smartwatches, I had several questions that I could never find a clear answer to. So here they are: 1) I paired my watch effortlessly with an iPhone 6s. There were no issues 2) Alerts work great! This includes iMessage, text messages, incoming calls, iCal and email notification. Obviously, I didn't care to include facebook and other notifications, since I am not that concerned about them as such. 3) Health and weather alerts work great! 4) Watch is very light. The strap is light and soft. So it is not abrasive against the skin. It seems surprisingly well made. Time will tell if it is prone to cracks or not. 5) Screen is not colored, but is clear and easy to read in any light. You have several ways to enable backlight, if you need to use it at night. 6) Buttons on the side are large enough and easy to use. I was not too picky about needing a touch screen (plus with an iPhone, you have limited choices on the phone anyway). Overall, for the price I paid, I am very happy. I was about to wait another 6 months for prices to settle, but this is a good place to start.

    Great watch... But???

I have had several Pebble watches and I love them. They do everything that I need (texts, incoming calls, waterproof, battery life) and I like the fact that I can see the screen in broad daylight. My battery usually lasts at least 7 days and I can go swimming without taking the watch off. I love Pebble health with the pedometer and sleep tracker (pretty accurate). But..... Here's the problem, fitbit bought Pebble so pebble will be no longer around! I was waiting for the Pebble time 2 but I guess I won't get it. I'll be taking this watch back because there will not be any Pebble support after 1 year. I'm hoping fitbit makes a "Pebble watch" with all it's features in the future.

    Pebble 2 review

PROS: Always-on display, battery life, beautifully responsive, affordable, water resistant CONS: Plastic design, no GPS CONCLUSION: The Pebble 2 is a basic smartwatch that brings some improved fitness features over its predecessor. The black-and-white screen and plastic housing won't win any design awards, but water-resistant body lend it some serious health cred. Together with a revamped app, the new Pebble will help you track your steps, beats per minute and sleep habits for an affordable price.

This smartwatch is great! Perfect for basic fitness and sleep tracking. Waterproof. Comfortable. Fun and easy to use. Always on. Can read the display without my reading glasses. Battery charge lasts a week, no other watches come close to that. I would definitely buy another one but sadly Pebble has gone out of business and left the future of these watches up to Fitbit to decide. Hopefully Fitbit will continue the line with something similar.

I was an user of the original Pebble, so I was really looking forward to upgrade to the Pebble 2 SE. The device is smaller and the screen is a lot better, brighter and with a better resolution. Being waterproof is a plus, as the original was not. The device is quite responsive and useful, yet as you possibly read from the other reviews, the pedometer and sleep monitoring are not great. Despite these shortcomings, I'm happy with my purchase. Yeaterday I got an email the Pebble was sold to Fitbit, which may be good if Fitbit make sone software adjustments on the Pebble pedometer, but may be awful if they stop supporting the device. I anticipate a price drop soon. Nevertheless I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

    Still the Best for Me

Even though Pebble has folded up tent this watch is still the best option out there for me and maybe quite a few others for the following reasons. 1) 7 day batter life 2) waterproof 3) very viewable screen I tried some of the color screens and you either get 1 day on a charge or a dimmed down version of color that is difficult for my eyes to see. So I got this over the fitbits etc... because of what I mentioned above as well as being able to see the weather right on the screen of my watch. Get one before they're not available!

Super easy to use and has a phenomenal battery life. Be advised that Pebble was recently bought out by Fit bit and some functionality is expected to drop off. Maybe get the product replacement plan for $20 just in case. As long as it will continue to display my notifications and control music, I will wear it everyday. I absolutely love it!

It's really a shame that Pebble is going out of business because I feel that this Pebble 2 model finally got everything right. Screen has the clarity and toughness (gorilla glass) of the Pebble Steel (screen toughness was big downfall of the original all-plastic Pebble). I much prefer the clarity and brightness of the greyscale screen to the dim color screens of previous models. The buttons feel awesome. The plastic body gives the BT connection good range (across the house). Performance is snappy. Has a microphone for dictating quick messages. Vibration motor is strong. I've been noticing 10% battery drain per day (connected 24hrs/day), which is awesome. Don't need the stupid heartrate monitor of the Pebble 2, I prefer the 'SE' model.

I like the long battery life, and the crisp ePaper display. I also enjoy the durability and feel of the device, but it is limited in functionality when connected to the iPhone. I don't think the problems with speech to text and messaging will ever be corrected now either, as Pebble was purchased by FitBit.

I had the original Pebble smart watch, and it finally stopped working after years of hard use. I decided on the Pebble 2 because it had the same features I was already comfortable with, and many new enhancements. So far it's been great and met my expectations. The only thing (and it might be my error), is I don't get group text message on the Pebble 2.

I got this for my son for Christmas. He uses it with his iPhone and it works pretty well. He would rather have a color version, but it was not available. Item is as advertised, but the cover is plastic and chips rather easily.

I bought this on Black Friday and was excited when it came. I read and watched several reviews before my purchase, but when it came, the watch didn't work at all. It turned out other android users were having the same problem, but not iPhone users. The response to my support email from Pebble was that they'd gone out of business. The watch has a great look and size, and the lightweight design makes for a comfortable feel. Unfortunately, according to many forums, the watch does not work for Android. Since there will be no support or updates, it's also a possible risk for iPhone users. Buyer beware.
