Excellent device that is much more affordable than an Apple Watch while giving many necessary functions. I really don't need it to do much. Give notifications, access some apps likes Evernote or Pandora and give me the time. The battery life is excellent, too.

i am pleased for the most part, i enjoy not having to have my phone in hand to see who's calling as well as the texts and emails... i do not like the dimmed lighting and it scratched easily too, it can be very hard to see but i would buy it again for sure...

The watch is a no frills device. I don't think it looks to bad and there are some customizable things you ca do with it. It works great for me when I am on a ladder or across the house and I get a message or call I don't have to worry about if it was important or not I just look at my wrist. It is also nice when I am driving because I can shuffle through my music without touching my phone. I also can answer a call on speaker phone with the phone on the dash and never worry about getting a ticket. I can set my phone to silent and still get a notification through the watch. Just a little vibrate nobody even notices or cares when I check my watch. For the price and usefulness you can't go wrong. Hope to see more devices like this in the future.

I have had this watch for a while. Not bad for a basic smart watch. Decent apps and battery life. I currently use with my iPhone. I originally purchased figuring between getting notifications and being able to change the watch face not bad for $99. I have found that the screen is not always responsive. Many times I will glance at the time or attempt to and the screen will be scrambled. Scrolling up or down will resolve the issue but it has become annoying to not always being able to glance at the time and get an accurate reading. With the new color version and my experience I would just get an iwatch instead. If you are looking to just barely get a smartwatch then this is an ok watch. Anything more then that I would recommend just upgrading to the iwatch. I was hoping this watch would hold me over for a while but I will be moving on to a better smartwatch practically immediately.

I bought this as a companion smart watch for my phone and also for the running I was starting to do and the price was hard to pass up when compared to the others. I was under the impression for some reason that it had gps capability, not sure where I read that at. I played with the watch for about 2 weeks and got frustrated with it. The apps were rudimentary at best. The navigation worked once in a while and the running apps were mostly just stop watches for the phone. Alot of the apps had companion phone apps that cost money to get, because they would not run without them. I also kept getting errors and had to restart the watch for no reason. I took it back and I am looking at just a gps watch such as a garmin or the new garmin vivoactive that comes out in a few weeks. If I don't go that route it might be the LG G watch R or one of the new samsung's.

While this smartwatch met my expectations for a basic smartwatch it does have one irritating issue. It disconnects from the Bluetooth on the phone frequently and has to be re-paired with it too often. This happens even while both the phone and the watch are on my person. The battery life is great though.

This watch does exactly what it says it does- and not a thing more, and that's actually okay. The battery-life is great, the screen is always on, and it has a plethora of apps and watch faces. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because the screen has distortion that makes it difficult to view in certain lighting. I know that sounds strange, but I would compare it to when you're pressing on a LCD monitor, and see the distortion. It may just be an issue with mine, but I took one star off because I only have one watch to review/form an opinion on. This sounds like a terrible flaw, but it isn't noticeable very often. Again, I know that sounds strange, but it's hard to explain. There's more to love about this watch than hate, so I say give it a try! If you don't like it, you have a couple weeks to return it.

Good smartwatch. Great battery life. No problem with the screen under direct sunlight. Waterproof - can swim in it. Band is comfortable, and also easily replaceable. Software is under active development. Not as fancy as some other smartwatches, but can be good enough for some, if the price is right.

It was easy to set up in few minutes. I had tested everything such as email, phone call and text message sent to my smartwatch. It was amazing. I turned backlight off because of battery. It takes 4 or 5 days. It is not bad. My smartwatch has vibration which it gets little strong as well as phone's vibration still is weak. My phone had switched from vibrate to silent, so battery on my phone save in one day. Whenever you will turn off or on some apps notification from Pebble app, some apps will alert to my smartwatch. I love it. It's worth for me.

Got it at BB pre-Xmas sale for $120. At that price point, it is comparable to the little Casios I have worn all my life. I liked it so much, I bought 2 more for my brother and son. None of us had any of the serious problems that others have reported, we all like it. Which is good because the company that makes it is obviously overwhelmed by success, probably not helpful. So, good for geeks, including old boomers like me. You don't have to be a programmer, but better be comfortable with computers. It reminds me a lot of when PC's first came out. I find it so comfortable and nice looking that I wear it constantly now. It does not have an audible alarm, but the little vibrator on your wrist is extremely noticeable, never miss it (whereas sometimes I would not hear the alarm on my old watch while watching TV). Its very cool to be able to change watch faces at will. It only needs charging every 3rd day, no problem. As to being useful - USEFUL. Watch faces with the current temperature on them. Handy to glance at the watch before going out, to see what to wear. Alerting to calls - it is just much more civilized, when carrying packages at the mall, or talking to a friend, to just glance at the watch to see who is calling instead of pulling the iPhone out of my pocket. Reminders - again, nice to be able to glance instead of deploy phone. I haven't yet tried it with e.g. a location based grocery list, but that should be useful. It has "deep integration" with Runkeeper, useful to see your distance, time and pace as you jog (or walk). It supposedly integrates with Google Maps - I haven't tried it yet but could be useful for navigation walking around downtown etc. BAD - loses connection with phone inexplicably on many smart apps, needs kludgy finger work on phone to reestablish. It does not control the phone in any way (except Music, a little). It looses its memory if you switch between apps, so it is not useful for stopwatch or countdown functions. We are all eagerly awaiting the new firmware 2.0, which should address many of these issues, but as of this writing its not ready for prime time yet. Bottom line - its cool, useful in many real ways, a nice watch, and while we would all rather have the iWatch, that's not going to be here for a year and will cost 3x as much. At its current price point of $150, if you are an early adopter type you'll want it, if it goes lower on sale its a bargain. Otherwise, check in again after the 2.0 is out. PS The face is probably scratchable, if you buy a ZAGG watch face be aware BB matches prices, so check that out to save a few bucks.

I, too, am a backer and have my red Pebble on my wrist. I am a business trainer and it is so very convenient to simply glance at my watch to see who is sending me an email, text, or caller ID for calls while I am working. No one knows that the quick glance at my watch has more purpose than simply reading the time. I love the look and I get compliments on the style daily. I have sent many a shopper online to order one for themselves. I use the Run Keeper app when I ride my bicycle and that is very nice. Not only to see my time and distance but I can see notifications and choose to address them or not while on a ride. I have banged my watch into a few walls or door frames but thankfully no scratches. I own 5 watches and this one is by far my favorite. There are many functions built into the watch that have yet to be exploited by unwritten apps so this watch will be in service for a long time. A grand slam in my book!

The Pebble smart watch provides everything you need in a basic device. Downloadable watch faces, text message notifications, calendar notifications, email notifications and even apps that let you read a portion of your emails and text messages right on the watch. Pandora app is my favorite. I can start, stop fast forward and skip back on music and podcasts, and I can even answer phone calls or send them to voicemail. All from the watch -- and without having to pull my phone out of my pocket!

I bought the Pebble Smartwatch because I wanted to be able to see my texts and notifications without having to pull my phone out of my pocket all the time. This watch is great, the battery lasts close to 7 days as long as you don't use a watch face that has moving animation. There are some really cool apps to go along with it but unfortunately there aren't very many and most are not free. I now use the watch as my alarm because the vibrations are strong enough to wake me up. Being water proof comes in handy as someone who works with fish tanks. And who doesn't want to read their texts while they shower? It's also the best priced smartwatch out there. Overall as someone who bought this watch just for the functionality and cool tech I am very very pleased.

This was a gift from the in-laws and while I love tech toys, I wasn't so sure if I would use this often. But, I've found enough uses to keep it on my wrist 80 percent of the time. The other 20 percent is when I'm working out or bike riding, then I use a Casio G-shock because it's sturdier. Besides functioning like a regular watch, I like the fact that when I get a call or message it will vibrate on the wrist and I can leave the phone in the backpack or on the desk to know who it is. If I have a bluetooth headset on I don't need to even touch the phone. There are lots of apps to choose from but I've found only a few that I find useful and are reliable; Smartwatch Pro, California CHP report, Maptastic, Smartwatch Plus and Big Time. I have a bunch of others but they are buggy and most of them require you having to take the phone out and make sure the app is connected. I understand this is a new technology and it'll get ironed out in further generations. The regular iPhone apps perform much better. For functionality, I like the ability to control my music, songs and volume with the phone (can use my nice headphones that have no controls), reading notices, messages and AP breaking news without having to fuss with the phone. The bluetooth range is limited, probably around 20 feet. If I don't have the phone in my pocket or right next to me, it's usually not connected and if you're using certain apps, you need to reconnect, PITA. The watch is waterproof, I've showered with it. Looks nice on the wrist and is fairly discreet,. In black, most people won't notice it and you won't notice it too until you need it. Buy a screen protector, the plastic is soft. For a new technology it's a nice product, but

For the price, this is a great watch! You are able to do a lot of things with the different apps. Good battery life. Easy to set up.....instructions are easy to follow.

Handles the important things like controlling your music and showing all notifications for messages.emails..calls..etc...works great just as a watch and for sports scores... At this price it's great

The Pebble works pretty much as advertised. The device is truly waterproof, surviving a full day at a waterpark (even as other "waterproof" devices failed) the apps are great and, even though my functionality is limited a bit because I'm on iOS, I'm a true convert and addict. My main gripes are that 1) The battery life isn't as advertised. The box says 5-7 days, i'm doing well to get 3. Still longer than my phone, but not quite up to promises. 2) I have to reconnect it semi-regularly by restarting the watch. Seems to lose its connection and, though I can see alerts, I lose ability to control music or use RunKeeper. Still, those are minor annoyances for a really good smartwatch, especially for $99.

I got this for sleep tracking and running so i can control music, runkeeper etc. on my wrist. Its perfect for that with durable construction and water/sweat proof. Also i thought it was cool that theres an app for deaf/hard of hearing that uses the phone microphone and vibrates when theres a smoke alarm, sirens or the doorbell, etc. I thought that was really cool. The vibration motor is very strong, you won't miss it.

Awsome smart watch that is not over priced! No extra phone plan charges, because it works on bluetooth. But that does mean you have to be within range of your cell phone. No microphone or speaker in this model, but it does have a music controller. And lots of apps! A lot of free apps, and watch faces! Battery does not quite last me 7 days, but I get lots of emails and texts, track my steps and sleep. I just charge it when I shower, but it is water resistant.

Works well with iPhone. You can keep your phone in your pocket at work and still keep in touch. I get 5 days battery life. Great free watch faces and apps. Do you need your BP and pulse monitored 24/7? Want to spend $400? Wait for the Iwatch. Want a great wrist communication device under $100? Buy this.
