I have this product for well over 3 months now. I really like this product. I have come to depend on it. I no longer have to reach for my phone to view who is calling. Very helpful during meetings. I highly recommend this product. Go out and get one now.

    Really like this

I have been researching for a month after trying the Galaxy Gear Watch. I really like this Pebble watch over all other watches I've tried, it really saves me from getting in trouble at work in my meetings, The screen does not light up the room and make it obvious something is going on on my wrist like the other phone wanna be watches. In the past my phone would go off contantly and yes I could have turned it off but I work late hours and have kids in different sporting events that I can't make because of my work schedule. This poistion I have is a new promotion I just got and cant take the time off yet to be with them, so my phone is my line of communication with my wife, kids and friends. I love it that when they call or text I can see it on my wrist and with a special app I installed I can reply with predetermined text right from the watch and call them when I'm free. I did try the Galaxy Gear but the band did not fit my wrist and samsung has no extension for the wrist band. Also the Galaxy Gear and most other Smart watches are not water proof and for 299 thats really unexceptable. The pebble is simple in all possible ways plus is WATER PROOF NOT JUST SPLASH RESISTANCE. I just needed an extension to my phone not replace my phone. If I need to take a picture I can pull out the phone. Why would I want to do that with my watch, I actually think is creepy, I dont need one on my watch like the Galaxy Gear. The only thing I wish the pebble did have is a mic. so I can answer that call when I'm in the shower or driving and cant get to my phone. There is a learning curve to this watch but that applies to anything you get that is new. I really recomened it. Seem that the company pebble is ontop of this watch and always improving it sending updates when needed.

    a great watch and more!

I almost didn't buy this watch because some of the reviews were so negative...but I figured most people only write reviews if they have something negative to say..so I bought the watch a few days ago...and I love it! It is the coolest watch I have ever had. It's comfortable and the watchfaces are really fun! I learned lastnight that if I shake my wrist, the auto light comes on and i can see the time in big numbers in the dark. I downloaded the stopwatch to it...and the pebble plus app....which lets me find my iphone from my watch. i also synced the watch with my runkeeper program so i can see my mileage on my wrist while running or riding my bike. My wrist vibrates when i get a message or a call and shows the number. However, despite all the amazing synching with my iphone...I would love this watch just as a watch! waterproof, attractive and super useful. One note: due to the negative reviews I did purchase the best buy additional insurance program for $19 for two years. And now I'm totally not worried about anything with my watch. If the display or battery go bad (two main complaints)...I'm covered..as I understand it and I just go back to best buy and they give me another one. Overall, so glad I bought the watch!

I like my Pebble. I have sleep apnea and I use my Pebble nightly to track my sleep pattern. Because of the Pebble, I now have good information that has led me to make changes which have improved my sleep. The only negative is that the face is very easily scratched. You MUST buy the optional screen protector.

    Most functional watch today.

Went back and forth between this and Galaxy Gear; glad I made this decision. The watch is stylish and functional, and is an excellent introduction into the world of wearable technology, for the fraction of the cost, a much longer battery life, while offering a more balanced choice. I switch phones often and am not stuck on Samsung - good to know my watch will work with other devices on well. Regarding the concept of a smartwatch - shockingly useful. I am an admitted gadget freak, but the concept of wearable technology is really, truly hear to stay - getting notifications on your wrist even when away from your phone gives me a peace of mind (missed calls when expecting calls). Many other scenarios. Go for it, you will wear it everyday.

better than you would think from the reviews

Although there were a lot of reviews complaining about poor screen performance, I decided to take a chance and get one anyway. My screen works just fine. There are also a lot of complaints about how easily the watchface gets scratched. I've bumped mine into a wall, and the mark rubbed right off. No, it's not a sapphire crystal, but it's also not a $300 watch. Using it with iOS does take using some workarounds like installing the httpebble helper app, and it still doesn't work as good as it would with Android. However, It does work really well with various music apps for displaying and changing the current track, and it works well with notifications. Just being able to see text messages without taking my phone out of my pocket is probably worth the price, but there are a couple of great watchfaces that show weather information along with the time and date that seal the value for me. Until Apple comes along with something better, this is the smartwatch to get.

It is nice but it isn't great

The Pebble watch is nice and works as described. Getting text notifications on your wrist is nice but you can't respond. You can only cycle through and discard the messages. My favorite feature is getting a watch face that has the temperature and weather on it. Overall, this product is nice if you really want a smart watch. I just don't see myself using this everyday. I probably would feel the same about any smart watch on the market. Even the Apple Watch. I just don't see the point of "smart" watches when your phone is in your pocket or purse and easily accessible. I'd rather use the big screen the phone has to offer then some tiny display that offers "limited" app features. I'll stick to my classic aviator watch over any of these smart watches for now. If you really want a smart watch though, this one is cheap and it has some okay features that some people may really like. It is love hate honestly. I love technology but some things just aren't practical and that is up to everyone individually to decide.

Decent Quality, Good Price for Features

I've owned this watch for a couple of weeks. I can confirm that battery life is indeed 5+ days depending upon usage; this beats most others hands-down. Also, there are many apps available through the Android app store. My only real complaint is the overall quality, especially the display and plastic feel. On several occasions, the display has become garbled and difficult to read. Hopefully it's not a permanent defect in which the watch needs to be returned. Also, the plastic material used for the housing could have been a bit more durable and compact. At this point, I think this is a reasonable starter Smartwatch that's worthy of about 3.5 stars.

I Like It - With One Exception

I have had my Pebble for about 2 weeks now and overall I think it's a good product. The overall quality in workmanship is excellent. My only issue is that it has been tending to lose connection with my iPhone. A simple fix is to go to the bluetooth settings on the phone, turn it off and then back on. The issue I have with that is the whole reason I got the Pebble was so I wouldn't have to take my phone out of my pocket unless I wanted to. I don't want to have to take it out to resolve connectivity issues. One thing I will say, I did not anticipate people thinking I'm late for an appointment or in a hurry because I'm looking at my watch constantly. Don't wear this to an interview...you might not get the job.

    Surprising

Although the watch appears to be fairly basic with its monochrome e-paper display and a few buttons (no touchscreen), these could turn out to be advantages. The low power display means that your chosen watch face can be on permanent display for days -- just like a real watch -- on one battery charge. The simple button control may be easier than a touchscreen when you're out walking or running, which leads me to... ..the fact that I am now doing some things with my phone that I neve did before, thanks to this watch. One of which is listening to music, because I can pause the current track without pulling the phone from my pocket and without therefore disrupting the earphone wire running up the inside of my shirt. It's a small thing, and maybe not a reason in itself buy this watch, but a surprising use that I have not envisaged. Obviously the most useful features of this watch are the discreet notifications of incoming calls, emails, and SMS text messages. And the watch itself is surprisingly stylish (at least in black) unlike a really chunky smartphone that I bought from China last year. It might take a little getting used to because there is no instruction manual, so the nearest thing is "The (Unofficial) Pebble SmartWatch Book" at http://smartwatchbooks.info/p/pebble.html

    great concept, failed execution

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I love the concept but there is still a ways to go on execution. While looking cheap with an easy scratch screen, it proved that it can be done. Too bad the battery is problematic, while it can run days, it can also loose charge in 2 days. Charger is also a good concept, too bad it is hard to stick in proper position Mine is now in a software glitch where it asks to connect to the phone and when it does, once it updates software it looses charge - and on it goes again to the same cycle from the beginning with no end. For the last couple of days I have no success in getting it going again...once it connects and updates, it starts from begining where it looks for connection, it is a loop...:o( I contacted Pebble, no response yet, for now I wasted my $$$. Hope they come up with a better product soon, or some one else does, the Metawatch that I tried is even worst...

Very handy item. Nice to see who's calling/texting before I dig my phone out of my backpack or pocket. Battery life is phenomenal! This model has a slightly too-high profile on my wrist at almost 1/2 an inch, but it's not unbearable.

Love my pebble watch. I bought it mainly to use it in the car but find myself using more often outside. Very useful when you are walking in noisy environment and you cannot hear the ringtone. Initial setup is little challenging but once you setup correctly the way you want it then it works perfect. I can now add reminder with one button press, control music and much more

I wanted one for a long time and I finally pulled the trigger on one. So fare im really enjoying it. I kind of wish I bought the steel version but the price difference and the same functionality I just couldn't do it. I have my eye on an upcoming watch with color LCD.

I have been using this watch for about 4 months and it's a great smartphone accessory. I no longer have to keep checking my phone to see if I missed an email or text. Most of the day my phone is on silent and all alerts are sent to my watch using the pebble android app and a free pebble notifier app. I get 7-9 days of battery life with medium use.

I bought this a year ago because it was rated the best and had the best reputation. I still have it, even with some issues. It does the job needed. Not too much bells and whistles but not too simple either. First, it died on me for weeks after the battery drained. Took it back to BB and got another one. Same thing. This is my third one. Same thing. I contacted them via FB and they did to send it to them. The other problem is the Bluetooth connection. It comes in and out, even when I'm in the same room. It's inconsistent. I just use it as a regular watch, now. To much to keep connecting it manually every time. Hopefully, the new one will have resolved these issues. Otherwise, I heard that since it came out, the Samsung watches are not bad.
