Bought on sale but it's just ok. I was looking for a watch that has notifications and fitness tracking. It does both ok. IMHO there are better alternatives out there if you are willing to pay more.

I am a moderately tech savvy 60 something year old woman. This watch is great for me in my job as a busy nurse. I can see at a glance who is texting, emailing, or phoning me and decide whether the call/text needs attention or can wait. I find the epaper face to be easy to read, and like the option of changing watch faces-I need the sweep second hand for taking vital signs, but otherwise prefer the digital read out. I haven't had any problem with the watch face scratching and I'm a pretty active daily user of the watch. I only have to charge it once a week or so. All in all I'm pleased as punch with the watch.

My husband has never been a watch person and basically hasn't owned a watch since he was a child. I purchased this watch for him and he loves it. He uses it daily and loves that it's not too fancy but also doesn't look cheap. The features are great and the fact that he can always see who's calling while he's at work or driving "and can ignore the call" without having to get distracted. I highly recomend this watch for anyone looking for something that isn't too expensive and works great!

Bought for my teenage son. This watch is very durable and has all of the main smart watch functions. As with most non sim-card watches you should have a phone/plan that allows Bluetooth data tether for full functionality.

This watch was paired with my iPhone5. If you use your phone a lot, be prepared to charge the pebble because I was not able to go a full day without having to take the watch off to charge it. Off the bat, you can play music from your phone, but cannot control the volume. You are able to accept and decline calls, but only if you have an earbud/bluetooth in, otherwise you'd still have to fish for your phone if you accept the call. You can get weather updates and tinker around in the gigapet-like app store, but it lost my attention 2 days in. I did not feel the urge to go through every single compatible app to see if it can somehow be useful to my life. It's nice to get the updates on your wrist, but I'd rather keep my phone handy so I can speak to text or reply to my messages. Majority of the apps for this watch requires a companion app, which is a minus. The changeable watch straps are so-so. If you aren't allowed to have your phone out but enjoy looking at notifications from your social feed or text messages then this is a good product. It's almost chaos for me to add more to my list of items to charge as well as buy apps to make the watch useful. The watch kinda complicates life for me. I could go without this item. Maybe if they add a mic so that I am able to use voice commands then I would keep this item. It would be nice if it also came with a wireless earbud that attaches to the watch so I can accept calls without broadcasting my phone conversations while in public. Overall this is a good product, but doesn't work for me. It's almost like a boring updated beta product.

It's so amazing, I've had a for a few days and can't believe this is the watch that made me decide to start wearing watches again. I love the customization for it, such as downloading faces and making it my own. Also has a great battery life.

I really wanted to like this but.....

Wow I really wanted to like this smartwatch. I've been waiting for months to buy a Pebble, and when they finally got one in stock I immediately drove down to purchase it. Now it's going back. For me there were 2 big deal killers: 1. Low contrast hard to read screen. I was surprised at how critical the viewing angle is on this watch. If you aren't looking square onto it (especially with indoor light) the display contrast fades and is really hard to read. 2. Inconsistent notifications. The main reason I wanted it was for email and text notification on my wrist. I found that sometimes it notified me, sometimes it didn't. I can't imagine it's a range issue as the watch was always withing 3 feet of the phone (a Galaxy SIII) I also found that after installing the software and telling it to notify me of appointments (allowing access to my calendar data) my calendar stopped syncing with Google calendar. Coincidence? Maybe, but I had to clear calendar data on my phone and resync to get it to work again. Something got corrupted in my phone data around the time I gave the Pebble app access to it. The build quality itself is OK, but it is large and more blocky on the wrist than I expected. That's a matter of personal taste. I'd also suggest getting a screen protector or skin for it right away. It looks pretty easy to scratch. All in all the watch had the feel and quality of my $30 Casio Waveceptor, was harder to read, and the smart features seem a work in progress. Maybe as the software matures it will improve.

    Best smartwatch out there

I bought this watch last Tuesday (now is Saturday) and it is still going on its first charge with no problems. Setup was surprisingly easy for everything it says it can do, and just as easy for other android apps to push extra notifications. Originally i thought the small screen size would bother me, but all text is easily readable at arms length. From looking at other reviews it seems their quality control isn't the best right now, but that is to be expected for a company's first product to make it to stores. Totally worth every penny spent.

As soon as I saw the Pebble price dropped to $99, I immediately purchased it in red and I am so glad I did. It is an amazing smartwatch. It connected to my iPhone 5s quickly using bluetooth. The display is easy to read in either light or dark. All you have to do is just shake it. I love the weather apps. I can see the upcoming forecast with a flick of the wrist. The downsides are the limited instructions on how to power it on right out of the box and it comes with a USB cable with no charger. Other than that, It is a great value

This watch is great for people on the go. Instead of having to taking out your phone when hands are full, or driving you can look at your wrist to see whats going on. The Pebble company is releasing their official app store later in January 2014. That will provide many apps for different occasions. The price is a little steep but in the long run will pay its self off. The battery life last up to a week and charges quick. This watch takes an extra 5 to 10 percent of battery from your phone. Overall this watch is a great buy and worth the money. It's easy to set up and work. I would suggest it to anybody!

I have had this watch for a few weeks now and I can honestly say I don't know how I did without it all these years! I use my phone for both work and personal so it seams like I am always getting some sort of notification. With this watch I am able to easily see what the notification is and save time pulling my phone out of my pocket every couple of minutes. It does a lot now and is still very young. I can not wait to see what developers come up with next as the SDK for this watch gets better and better.

I have no clue why at the moment this product has a rating of 3.5. For the price, this is a great value. i often cannot feel that my phone has gone off in my pocket so having a little vibration going off on my wrist is a plus. Though there isn't a lot that this watch can do, give it a little time and the people at Pebble will show us additional features. Upgrade the watch band with the synergy watch band that is found at best buy. better quality and it allows you to wear the watch a little looser on the wrist, while not slipping. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Best Smart watch on the Market - Super simple

I bought my Pebble from Best buy just about 2.5 weeks ago, and so far it has nearly changed my life. The other night my wife decided to go into labor while I was away on business at 2am. Luckily I was only a few hours away but I am a very hard to wake up type. That night I slept with my Pebble on my wrist and if it hadn't been for the vibration of the incoming call I received from my wife I would have possibly missed the birth of my daughter. This device has helped me already in a number of scenarios like this. I am a big fan, and believer in the company and wish them luck in all future endeavors. Thank you Pebble!!!!!!

I wanted a smartwatch that would allow me to be notified of incoming emails text messages while I'm at work, but without having to pull my iPhone out of my pocket. But I work in a factory doing a lot of manual labor, so I did not want to get something expensive that would probably get scratched at work. The Pebble watch seemed like the answer to what I was looking for: an inexpensive watch that would let me see incoming emails and texts at a glance. Wow, was I wrong. In the less than 72 hours that I actually had the watch, I experienced the following issues: *Notifications were very hit or miss, specifically email notifications. Most of them did not get pushed to my watch from my phone. I followed the instructions on Pebble's website to troubleshoot that issue, but still the notifications were usually not getting pushed from my phone to my watch. And since that was the specific reason I bought the watch, the purchase was already leaving a bad impression on me. *The BT connection between my phone and the watch was lost several times a day, even though the two were in very close proximity. And it's not a simple and quick process to reestablish the BT connection between the two. It takes a good 15-20 minutes to pair the phone and the watch back together from beginning to end. *I had to completely reset the watch twice when the watch refused to establish a BT connection with my phone. *And finally, the battery power drained way too quickly - definitely not lasting for a week on a single charge as advertised. One morning I left the home at about 6 AM with the watch on a 50% charge, and at around 2:30 PM that afternoon the watch's battery was dead. I contacted Pebble support and they politely told me that they were experiencing a high volume of emails and that they would get back to me as soon as possible. I gave up and returned the watch to Best Buy for a full refund. Perhaps the Pebble watch would work better with an Android, but I personally cannot recommend the watch to anyone using an iPhone.

How did I live without it

I really do not know how I lived without Pebble... I use this watch not just for the time and date, but the weather forecast, keep track of my appointments, monitor and change the temperature in my house, and see who is calling me Recently I was at work and got a call when I was away from my phone. Seeing the caller ID on the watch, I knew that I had to take the call, and rushed back to my phone (I did not hear the unique ringer). This alone is a reason to buy one. The only drawback is that it looks like a calculator watch from the 70's, so spend a little more and get the metal one if you can

I really love this watch. I don't have much need for anything past seeing what messages I've received and adjusting my music and volume. I also really love that I can pay at starbucks by just scanning my watch, very convenient. The customization for the main watchface is also great, I have gotten so many complements.

Been wearing this watch since they first started shipping to Kickstarter backers, and now can hardly imagine my daily routine without it! It really is nice knowing that your most important notifications always appear on your wrist, eliminating the need to proactively check my phone (a habit we're all guilty of!). The Pebble team is really responsive about sending updates to their backers about how software development is going, and independent developers have written a ton of cool watch faces and fun little "apps" (mostly connectors to apps running on your Android phone).

Although spartan considering all the features of new smart watches, the Pebble offers good value. For less than $100 you get a watch that is compatible with iOS and Android devices; its battery lasts 5-day and there is an interesting selection of FREE Apps
