My son has had Pebble for years and he convinced me to get one over the Apple Watch. I was unable to find a user manual to explain certain features, so it took me awhile to figure it out. I love it!

Traded Apple Watch for Pebble and Love It

I am addicted to Apple products - I've owned 4 iPhones, several Macbook laptops, an iMac, Apple TV, and even a Mac Pro server with multiple 4K displays. I'm the ultimate computer nerd but for practical reasons - I'm not a programmer but use computers extensively as part of professional document review work.
With that said, I did not take lightly the decision to trade my Apple Watch for a Pebble. But I did so because after much pondering about why I wasn't happy with the Apple Watch, i realized "It's the clockface stupid." Apps are great on a phone; they are not practical on a watch. I want a watch that can quickly give me the information I need with a glance at the watch - simple as that.
Well Apple has shut down Apple Watch development so there are major limitations on what "complications" can be displayed on the Apple Watch. But Pebble has hundreds if not thousands of watch faces and uber ways to customize them or build your own - that's a huge plus. On top of that, the "Timeline" feature on Pebble is superior to Apple's "digital crown" because Pebble advances an appiontment at a time but the digital crown goes hour by hour even if thee are no appointments that day.
The Pebble e-ink display isn't as snazzy as the touchscreen Apple display, but then again the Pebble Time Steel lasts 10 days (!) on a charge but Apple Watch barely lasts a day on one charge - another huge plus.
Maybe someday I will go back if Apple revisits their philosphy and improves the battery life in the Apple Watch. After all, it used to be hard for 3rd parties to program an iPhone and that's changed quite a bit now. For now, Apple Watch is prettier but the functionality, custopmizability, and battery life of the Pebble Time Steel beat the Apple Watch. Apple Watch is a nice piece of jewelry; Pebble is for the nerd who wants to do practical things with the watch - and that's me.

Good Upgrade from Moto 360

Let me start with the caveat that when the Moto 360 was announced, I was obsessed with the design. So I purchased on without doing a ton of recon. After about a month I was enjoying that watch less, primarily because of the large size and lackluster operating system.
So what does one do with something they do not enjoy? They let it sit there to collect dust. Ever since that day, I knew I wanted a new smart watch, but was torn because the watches getting the most press were Android wear and the Apple watch. I owned the Android wear OS and did not like it at all. In addition, I do not own an IPhone so no Apple watch either. Then I remembered Pebble.
And all the reviews were claiming that this watch received 10 days of battery life. I must say, this watch actually feels like a watch on my wrist and has a great build quality. It is compatible with my Nexus 6p and the battery life is around 9 days. It is also compatible with most IOS devices.
The operating system is something that you can pick up within a few days with no issue. It is very simplistic. Overall, I am happy with this watch and would recommend to those looking for a well rounded smart watch.

Close to a week of use without needing to be charged and screen always ON, 2 main reasons I got this and not an iwatch or moto 360. Other great future, water proof up to 30M, not just splash proof I also like that you can just use regular watch bands(22mm) so no need to spend $100+ on a band like the others. Negatives? LCD could be larger.

I have had my Pebble Time Steel since its release. I enjoy all of the features and apps that it has. I currently have a Goldeneye N64 watchface. The battery life is excellent unless you're playing a game. I still love it being waterproof, so I can change my pandora in the shower. The voice dictation is a bit finicky, but I enjoy looking like a derp talking to my watch. I only wish I could get picture texts on it.

Great battery life! I can go more than one week of heavy smartwatch use before I have to charge it. All Pebble's are watches first, but don't skimp on the "smartwatch" stuff. All other smartwatches function and feel like (to me) a smartphone strapped to your wrist :/ I owned the original Pebble Steel model, and came right back to the Pebble Time Steel when it came time for me to upgrade to a new smartwatch. The n"Steel" model Pebble smartwatches are also more durable, so I have stuck with them, and I haven't been disappointed!

I wanted a stylish smartwatch that kept my notifications in sync, had basic fitness tracking, and voice capabilities. I tried many different ones including the Gear Fit/Neo and the FitBit blaze, and returned them all. The Pebble Time Steel was the first I decided to keep. It does everything well and is easy to use. I love that I can be alerted while not having to take my phone out at work or in social situations, and I can reply to texts/send a new one with voice. I downloaded an app called Snowy ($2.99) that gives me Siri like functionality for adding events and basic questions. The battery life is amazing! A week or longer with no charging. The screen type limits apps, but a small price for such a good battery. The display looks great in bright/average light, and the backlight is easy to activate in dark settings (flick your wrist). I love all of the watch face choices. Fitness tracking is simple yet helpful for insights on how to be more active and sleep better. I even found an app that can control my Lifx lights! Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone who wants a simple yet reliable smartwatch with a great battery life.

I have both this and the Gear 2. I love both and use both. Pebbles goes over 6 days without recharging and I take it into the water. It is a fantastic watch.

I have had my Pebble for about a month now. I am very glad I choose Pebble. I have had smart watches before and been disappointed. So far my Pebble has surpassed my expectations. Its durable, completely waterproof, and the charge time is great! I've showered, done dishes, and even went swimming with the Pebble, and its still working like new. I charge my Pebble about once a week. It will go from a 20% charge to 100% in about 30 minute. I do wish the graphics were a little better. But the long battery life is worth giving a little on the graphics. Also love that you can change out the face. There are so many you can choose from!

Great SIMPLE smartwatch

Great smartwatch for me and anyone who wants simple and EXCELLENT BATTERY LIFE! This thing last 5-6 days easy most of the time i charge it and after 5-6 days its only at 20-30%..
Simple smartwatch meaning i didnt want anything to connected/complicated it does the basics extremely well - shows notifications, tracks steps, time, stop watch for workouts, etc... does the basics NO PROBLEM
Screen is fragile - didn't have any issues the first , but bumped it against my car literally flat screen to flat car surface and got a slight scuff - couldnt find any great screen protectors for it - so that is my word of advice.
This would not deter me from buying this device - scratches are going to happen, just wanted to share.
Overall this watch is INCREDIBLE in my opinion, better than the galaxy watches I have used simply due to the battery life alone which truly is the deciding factor for me.
Charging my phone is enough - don't want to have to charge my watch every night or every other night as well.

I did quite a bit of research into smart watches before I purchased this one. I like the fact that it is not touchscreen, but remains very user friendly. I like the fact that it is always on. I like the fact that it is open source so there are lots of apps. Most of all, I like the fact that it hasn't forgotten what it is: a watch that just happens to provide additional information. The original band seemed ok, but I am not sure how long it would last. I immediately replaced it with a metal band that I like a lot better. I really only have two criticisms. The watch does scratch rather easily so I suggest some form of screen protector. The second gripe has more to do with Apple than the watch. Apple refuses to allow third party manufacturers to get access to its messaging systems, so when an iMessage comes in, I can't reply to the message as an iMessage. Pebble was clever in that they simply bypassed the iPhone and made it to where the watch can reply as an sms message. The down side is that it isn't tracked by my iPhone. I understand this is not an issue with an Android. But really, I am nit picking. This is a great smart watch.

Bought this smartwatch on a whim after only a little research, and holy moly was I impressed... Great interface, not too big, quality glass, strap and companion app for my smartphone. Probably the coolest aspect is I can respond to texts by just speaking into my watch, I feel so technologically advanced... Like Batman! Battery lasts about 4 - 5 days with my usage, and charges in a couple of hours.
The only minor complaint I have is that the display doesn't even come close to the edges of the bezel, there is 1/4 inch black strip around the edge. However, I hardly notice this anymore.
VERY good watch for the price, and with the "OK Pebble" app, (and a few rooted modifications to my phone) I am able to press a button and use the "OK google" feature on my phone with it still in my pocket.
TL;DR Buy it.

The Pebble Time is incredibly easy to use. It's not an Apple Watch and it doesn't have a touch screen, but it is open source so it has tons of apps you couldn't get with the Apple Watch. You can also reply back to text vocally iOS! Plus the Steel looks much fancy!

Watch is great! I purchased a separate band because I do not like the leather that it comes with. Never really liked leather straps. Also purchased a screen protector, just to be safe. Battery life goes on for a week no problem. If you are actively using the watch for games, then I'm sure the battery will go down sooner. You can choose the notifications that comes thru the watch. I only have it set to text messages only. Great buy! Had it over 2 months and I do not regret purchasing it.

The watch is great for what I need it for, notifications and of course time... The display is decent, battery life is awesome compared to other smart watches (5.5 days), and the best part is its water resistant to 97ft. I have tried the Moto 360 2nd edition and an Apple Watch and kept the pebble.

Short of a couple Bluetooth dropouts from time to time, I can read my texts, emails, and control my music from my wrist. I purchased the Stainless Steel band separately as well, as it comes with a dull sand colored leather one.

I wear my Pebble every day, can't go without! It looks great and is extremely functional. My battery lasts around 7 days and I receive around 30-40 notifications a day and use a watchface that includes weather, date, and activity. The watch band that it comes with is not great, but any 22mm band will work and they are relatively cheap.
