This is my first Pela case so I was eager to see what they had to offer. The first thing I noticed is how solid the case felt. It easily slipped on to my iPhone and I was immediately impressed how well protected my iPhone felt with this case on. The case has a very heavy duty feel to it. This case is MagSafe rated, and the MagSafe module is clearly visible on the inside back of the case. The MagSafe function works perfectly and creates a strong magnetic lock to the case from the charger. This is critical to me because I am a frequent MagSafe charging user. I tested this case with a few wireless chargers and found that this case is wireless charging compatible as well as MagSafe. Some thicker cases don’t work with wireless charging but this case certainly did. I use wireless charging frequently at home so this functionality is important to me. This case is described as being made from plant materials for environmental sustainability. This case has a soft feel to it that reminds me of rubber or silicon. The case is easy to hold and will not slip out of the hand easily. The front edge of the case is raised to provide front screen protection. Included in the package is a redemption code to order a second case. There is the option to customize a design or to choose from 500+ designs. The second case is also made from plant based materials. Overall I am very favorably impressed by this Pela case. It has a premium feel to it, and I have no doubt that it will provide a great degree of protection from impact damage. Pela cases will especially appeal to consumers that want a high quality case and are willing to pay more for a selection of cases that are made in environmentally sensitive ways.

Pela cases have been around for quite some time. The Pela case for the iPhone 16 Plus is no different from previous versions. That said, what makes Pela unique is its environmental friendly materials used. Pela claims their cases are from plant based materials and not from oil based plastics as most cases are made from. Do note that I cannot say that this is biodegradable as the literature in the box or in its website. That said the Pela case has a solid rubber feel to it. Another selling point of Pela cases is that they are designed and manufactured in North America – Canada to be more specific if that matters to you. And they are sold at a premium. And like its previous cases, these are form fitted for the iPhone 16 Plus. One thing about Pela which makes is unique compared to others is that it offers you a second case for free wherein you can customize the second case. One thing to note is that while you can choose your own color, any text or picture uploaded entails a $10 fee. Given that it is already sold at a premium, they should have made this also a free feature. Aside from that I have no complaints against Pela. But if customization is a thing for you, the Pela case is highly recommended.

This is my first Pela product and the thought of a case that’s made in a more eco friendly way was very appealing. We just got my girlfriend’s so a new phone for Christmas so we needed a case (especially for a teenager) and the two for one was a big draw also. You get a code included for a second case that can either be for the same phone or another model. You can choose from over 500 designs or design your own. The nice thing is it’s easy and completely free, even the shipping! This is nice as some products I’ve used that do something similar you have to pay for shipping. The case itself feels nice, it’s kinda a cross between a silicon and leather case in terms of feel. I haven’t got my second case yet, but the initial one feels well made and durable. In the ever increasing world of throw away products and E waste, it’s nice to have products that at least try and reduce environmental harm. The Pela case does just that with sustainable materials while giving you a durable product that protects your phone!
