Very disappointed with this Pelican product. I had it for a week when I dropped it on the tile floor in my house. It broke both hinges. I have 2 stars as it has a latch that will keep it secure and still provides some protection. I would not purchase this particular item again. Perhaps if they redesigned it.

I’m done with Pelican forever. I spent FORTY FREAKING DOLLARS FOR A CASE TO PROTECT MY AIRPODS AND IT HAS DISMANTLED ITSELF IN TWO MONTHS. Please don’t buy this trash! Until we stop buying this garbage, we won’t get something better. I REALLY wish I would’ve read the reviews, they’re not lying. One month in and the rubber flap to waterproof the case torn off with normal use and two months in, the case was in my pocket and the latch broke off and the hinge snapped on one side. I THINK it’s fallen two or three times off of a table height, I didn’t abuse this item, and even if I did, for $40i should be able to use it for target practice at the firing range!

They looked like a good case at first, the first issue that came up is that the adhesive used prevents being able to take original case out to use pairing button, also i have already broken the case due to design weakness where the latch pin is. Would not recomend if you ate looking for a heafty case

Unbelievably poor quality case. Mine has never been dropped an in just over 2 months both hinges broke. Without them it’s impossible to protect the AirPods from water. At $40 this is the worst value of anything I have ever purchased from Best Buy. The functionality is great when new but the hinges are under designed

I upgraded to the airpod pro 3’s after losing my airpod pro 2’s after an ejection incident involving my old case hitting the ground. The pelican case for my pro 3’s is a fantastic option for securing my little investment. Fits on my keyring and ive had zero issus with it in the time I’ve owned it. Im in and out of a work truck during the day, and I do lots of yard work at home. The pelican case keeps my airpods safe and secure.

I bought this case around christmas and both hinges are already broken and it can be very uncomfortable in your pants pocket. I would not buy again!!

This case broke at the hinge. Only used it as a key chain to for my car keys. Very light usage. Only either was on my kitchen counter till I needed my car, or attached to the car's key ignition. When I needed my airpods, I opened the case. So It wasn't like I am actively doing Marine battles or out working in construction. There is no reason for this to only last less than a month.

Gave this to my husband and he only used it 4 times. The lid on the hinge broke. Returning it. Pelican missed it for this case

Do Not Buy. Had this case for about 2 weeks and the poorly designed hinge broke. I am past my return period and Pelican wants me to send $8 to get my warranty processed. I refuse as I don’t want a case that will break in another 2 weeks.

The product claims to offer military-grade drop protection. However, I never dropped my AirPods case in my jacket, and yet, one day, I noticed that it was broken.

Overall great case and durable too!!! The only issues I have is there is no way to see the charging light. But that’s not a show stopper.

I have used Pelican cases for years so when I saw a Pelican for AirPods I jumped on the opportunity to pick up a quality case. I am extremely disappointed in this one. I am not sure where to start. As another reviewer pointed out when you open the lid and the AirPods case lifts out of the bottom section of the Pelican case. Pelican has always been known for their super secure locking latches for their cases. While this work great for their larger cases for camera/audio/video gear its a giant mess on this small case. Is it secure? Very but it is also HUGE on this case. Almost as wide as the case itself and it sticks out so far that it make the case needlessly thick. The hinges are horrible. Most Pelican cases have the hinges incorporated into the lid making them almost invisible. Not this one. They stick out the back needlessly. To make matters worse they are molded at 90 degree angle making them extremely sharp edged which ends up making them dig painfully into you leg when you put them in a front pocket. It was so painful that I ended up having to take a file and round them off like they should have been when they were manufactured. Also this case is huge. It effectively doubles the size of the AirPods. Sure you can clip them to a belt loop with the included carabiner but if you are wearing nice clothes you don't need or want a big piece of black plastic hanging from your pants. Definitely not worth the price. Not what I expected after years of using Pelican products. Sorry Pelican. I can't recommend this one.

I tried to make this case work, but you have to double side tape your lid into the airpod case. The case is also clunky and catches on things inside your pocket. The case feels cheap and is not worth the expensive cost.

Overall the case is sturdy and does a great job when it comes to protection. It would be nice to have a window for the indicator light. Also, the charging port cover tends to pop off, I just have to be careful when charging. Really like the case clip. Very handy. Overall I give this case 4.5 stars!

I ended up returning this. It was very bulky. The one I had was also an open box item when I bought it, and the top portion of the case did not seem to fit correctly.

Fine expect for a weird quirk. When you open the case it pulls the bottom part of the airpods charging pod up out of the case. Hard to explain and it doesn't impede functionality it's just weird. Cheap feeling plastic.
