This is a story about a brother and sister dealing with issues which they have with their now deceased father. It helps show how things that our parents have done are not always black & white/right or wrong and that we need to appreciate the good things and let go of bitterness over disappointments.

Pine plays a twenty something fast talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns his father dies. Banks, a recovering alcoholic plays a single mother of a young son.

I love this move which reminds me of my own story.

Hidden amidst a summer of wonderful Superhero movies and others, you have People Like Us. A drama that was easily overlooked because of its release date. Nonetheless, People like us is a wonderful drama about just that, people like us. Everyday compounding problems that face us and hard choices to face and reaping the consequences of those decisions. People like us is well casted and is paced very well. This drama is heartwarming and original is its own right. I don't want to spoil the movie for you. If you question it, rent it and check it out. For the love of goodness, don't read the plot online, it just doesn't do the movie justice. Avengers, Spider-Man, Batman, etc, were all GREAT movies. This is also a wonderful movie that can easily be missed....
