I had a friend in high school who was deeply engrossed in all things ATCQ, to the point where it seemed cultish. I found myself gravitating more toward dance music in my impressionable teen years. 20+ years later now, and I picked up this anniversary edition of People's Instinctive Travels... to see what I had missed. I can definitely see how influential it has been to popular music as a whole in the last quarter of a century! However, the three new remixes are kind of a mixed bag. Enjoyed the extensive linear notes as well!

I enjoyed this album as an early adopter of Native Tongue back in the nineties. As it has aged gracefully, as any good album should, this re-release does not disappoint as the remixes added to the album make-up for the extra cost of buying this album for what I think is about the third or fourth time now. If you haven't heard this album (at least its re-released cuts), you cannot consider yourself a hip-hop or rap connoisseur.

This album was a class 25 years ago and still holds up today. The remastering isn't a big step forward but the remixes are a very nice addition. They are all a great update of the original songs. Worth the purchase.

Besides outkast, this is my all time favorite hip hop group. This is a classic cd, that has been remastered along with some extra gems.

Never would have imagined 25 years later this would and still does have substance. The Tribe will always be a classic.

Just a remake of a classic album. The remake tracks on the album are ok but it's the Tribe that make it worth buying.

Classic album remastered. Sounds great. Bonus remixes were a plus. Would have preferred original 12 inch remixes instead of album cuts and b-sides. 2 CD boxset.

This is a great album and I would recommend it to anyone who loves great music!

Classic sound to an album that has been out for years. Good throwback album for a refreshing sound compared to whats out there now....

All the old school joints are on this CD. You gotta respect the legends!

This album is still relavent today as it was some years ago.

A Tribe Called Quest was one of the greatest rap groups ever assembled. The beats are amazing, the rhymes have depth and the jazz flow to it all wraps it up nicely. Their classic debut was well put together.

An instant classic album from one of hip hop's greatest groups of all time. There's really nothing negative to say about this monumental album.

A must have for any Hip hop fan. This album is why we have ATLiens, Illmatic, The Infamous just to mention a few

I bought the original 25 years ago and I will buy it AGAIN if they record it in another 25.
