I purchased this PEQ thermostat so that I can better control my heating and air system at home from anywhere. The thermostat was very easy to install. Pairing it to the PEQ hub was quick and painless. Keep in mind, in order to be able to control this thermostat via the web or your smartphone you must purchase the PEQ hub and subscribe to the PEQ monthly service. The monthly service, I will say it is a bit of a buzz kill. It is 9.99 a month. Kind of expensive for what it is. The cool thing is that the PEQ system is expandable and you can add things like cameras, window/door sensors, door locks etc. The Android app for the thermostat is a little lacking in that it doesn't provide all the features of the full website. For instance, you can't set your heating and cooling program from the app. You can view, adjust the temp and turn the system on and off. Overall some a good product with some weaknesses. If comparing to a Nest thermostat it is about the same cost by the time you purchase the PEQ hub. The PEQ system works with Nest and other vendor products which is a plus also.

I installed the PEQ thermostat and synced it to my Smartthings home platform. Works great! I was able to set programs for when we come or go and for night. The only negative is you have to touch the screen for it to show the temp and what it is set to. It would be nice if it was always on.

Purchased this product without realizing that I'd have to pay for a monthly service plan just to hook it up to the internet and be able to control it remotely. For the price, it looks good but the monthly service is ridiculous. I sent it back and went with another brand. (It rhymes with money bell) You can buy a "smart" thermostat or other "smart" products without having to pay for a monthly service fee.

I have 3 and controlling when I need the unit on or off is great. It automatically detects when both my wife and I leave home by my IPhone.
