this is deep purple at the top of their form. it friggin rocks

The Perfect Strangers album was the reunion of the classic Mark II line up after many years apart. The album was fantastic and sold really well showing that Purple still could bring the goods. Sadly it was not to last but this show is a 'perfect' representation of the celebrated reunion. 5 of the 8 tunes from Perfect Strangers are represented here which gave the fans an excellent mix of classic and new Purple. In some cases the new tunes overshadowed the classics which is quite a statement. The band played as well as ever on this tour and finally we have an official release instead of the so so bootlegs that have circulated

This is one of the better quality Pro Shot DVD's from the 80's. Nice to have this recording of the Mark II version of Deep Purple with Richie Blackmore. Nice song selection from the 70's and some new material from the Perfect Strangers Album. Get this for the great musicianship of all the members of this version of Deep Purple.

this concert filmed during the Deep Purple reunion of 1984 captures the most popular and well known line up of the banda history. Ian Gillans voice is raw and full of energy. Blackmores guitar work is spot on. The rest of the guys hold the pace and the overall show is fantastic!

It was a great thing when this Deep Purple lineup reunited for the Perfect Strangers album and tour. Thankfully it was documented on this DVD. Great performance!
