What a phenomenal steelbook. The artwork and design is so much better in person than what you see here online. Now the remastering of the movie in 4k is spectacular, you see slight nuances that were hard to notice in previous versions. The director did manipulate some scenes so if you are a purist keep any older copies of the movie you have. The corrections I feel made the film better.

This movie is one of my favorites!! I had rented this movie on VHS back in the day, way back in the day...lol!! I knew once I found out it was on sale on 4k, I had to have it!! Even now, this movie kept me on the edge of my seat!! The acting was good and the plot was to die for, no pun intended...lol!!! This movie keeps you engaged from start to finish!! Great movie!!

As far as A/V quality goes, this is a solid upgrade to 4K UHD for a classic horror film. However, if you're extremely concerned about physical packaging like I am, either opt for the steelbook or be prepared to forego the slipcover for this new edition of Pet Sematary. They came damaged in a variety of ways, all culminating in the thin silver print (why Paramount? WHY would you make them so vulnerable) peel off at slight contact or any sticker's removal - no matter how easy it was to peel off

The new transfer of the film looks fantastic. The steel book packaging is also a win. The only downside is that the special features are somewhat minimal and feel like they are really only there to promote the new remake. There is not even an original trailer included! Also worth noting for those that care, the included digital copy only redeems in HDX NOT UHD which is a bit odd. Anyway, the strength of the transfer outweighs the drawbacks and overall this was worthwhile.

its been a while since ive seen this but after re watching this remembering what a good film this was, like the plot, as well as like the creepy factor of how they are after they come back. also really love the artwork for the steel

This steelbook is great! The picture doesn’t do it total justice as it doesn’t catch the highlights you see in person. The artwork is wonderful and relates to the story, which is always a plus. The movie is a bit here and there at times but it lands the atmosphere mostly. Digital version redeemed in 4K and that’s always great.

This was never one of my favorite movies . I never upgraded from a VHS tape I had of it and haven't seen it in more than 20 years . But with a UHD bluray being released , I wanted to revisit it . Picture looks great with lots of detail . But my opinion of the movie is the same , except I really enjoyed Fred Gwynne's performance this time . If you like the movie , get the steelbook , which as always blows away the regular case .

The 4K has much better video than found on the 2012 blu-ray, but lacks an upgrade to a Dolby Atmos track. The atmosphere is unsettling and the film is generally rather sad. Fred Gwynne is wonderful to watch, but Denise Crosby and Dale Midkiff (especially) seem to have been directed to speak their lines as if in a trance. The Best Buy exclusive steel book has fantastic art and comes with a rigid plastic slipcover.

I still haven't seen the remake, but I have read the novel and this film follows the narrative fairly well. There are imperfections that come with the territory of being a 1980s horror flick. Many of us actually embrace those flaws, which could explain the large fan base for genre films of the 1970s and 80s. This title was fairly priced, and the transfer was pretty good as I recall. Recommended.

I love this movie, and you should too. But what I want to compliment here is on this gorgeous Mondo steelbook. It's so striking, the colors pop. The eyes of the cat are glittery. The steelbook itself is housed within a plastic slipcover, so if you're worried about protection, Mondo has you covered.

Gage in 4k!!! Fun throw back 80s King horror! The old man neighbor’s severed Achilles never looked more clear and gruesome! Fun horror must have.

This is 1 of my all time favorite movies & the fact they released it on 4K + Blu-ray is awesome. The Steelbook was a major + also I collect steelbooks & have over 300 in my collection & out of all of them this 1 looks the best I actually bought 2 copies so I could keep 1 in the plastic.

The transfer quality of this movie, Pet Sematary, is amazing! The detail, the sound, the wide angle, all of it, looks great! Whatever transfer device they used, they surely did a great job. The last time I saw Pet Sematary was on TV; and while it looked good, it didn't look great! THIS 4k release is astoundingly amazing! The special features are a great touch too. Pick it up!

Since most of you already seen this movie, not much to review that you already don't know. But, this steel book version is a must for the Stephen King movie fan. Well worth the price. Get it even if you already own the previous release. The steel book is worth the price alone.

It’s been years since I’ve last seen Pet Sematary. When I saw Best Buy was releasing this incredible steelbook, I had to get it! It’s a great 4K edition! Every is so crisp and clear! The colors are amazing and the sounds are perfect! A real great purchase for under $30!

The original are still the best. Remastered and cleaned up for today's 4k TV's. The transfer could have maybe been a bit better. But we're talking 30 year old celluloid here. Plus remastered sound. Turn out the lights, turn up the Dolby... Enjoy

Beautiful steelbook and it would go well in any horror movie fan collection.

This movie has been around, so to talk about it's content is not really important. This release is all about the new remake. There is promo material on the disc, which could have been used for more promo material on the original film. It would have been nice if they had put on the documentary "Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary".

One of the best classic horror films of all time, and now in 4K with Dolby sound! I've been a major Pet Semetary fan since 89, and never have i seen it look this good, or sound this amazing! Perfect for the new generation of fans!
