This movie reminds me when I was a kid. I always found it fascinating how they mixed cartoon with real life people. Very entertaining for kids and some adults. It's just like Mary Poppins in a way with lots of singing and such. I love it.

The story follows an orphan named Pete escaping from his lazy and abusive foster home. He is taken in by a kind lighthouse keeper's daughter who is mourning the disappearance of her fiancée at sea. His companion is an actual dragon named Elliot whose ability to turn invisible tends to get Pete in trouble. Really enjoyed this film as a child, but it has not aged well. Incorporating the animated Elliot in the film is still cool but the overall story and songs are rather weak. Helen Reddy does a fine job as the daughter, but you also expect better comedy from co-stars Mickey Rooney and Red Buttons. The film is fine for children and family viewing, but the only bonus feature is a short behind the scenes documentary.

A great family friendly story about a young boy and his friend (who happens to be a dragon and can make himself disappear.) and their crazy adventures.

i have this title in dvd & the modern-day remake movie in bluray combo. so what's missing? a bluray of this classic. candle in the water. sparkling.

Another classic Disney movie from the old school combining live action and animation. It gets a great upgrade on Blu-Ray. Fun for the whole family,

So I recently watched the remake, and let's just say it left me wanting to go back and watch this amazing classic. DEFINITELY worth every penny!

Is movie is great. Even the songs in it are great. I loved it as a kid and it's my favorite between the two although the new one is awesome too.

While Disney has hit most of the live action movies out of the park. But, the remake of this glorious classic was awful. This looks great on bluray and I'm thankful to have found on sale which is very rare for Disney titles.

I love this movie I could remember it from childhood it teaches morals and togetherness I'm happy it was put on blu ray so my kids can enjoy it

Great family movie and musical. A delightful tale of believing in the un-believable and having a special friend that other can't always see.

Once I seen they were remaking this movie I had to go get the original! Loved this as a kid and can't wait to watch with my nephews and neice

Went out and purchased this movie for my kids to watch before the new one came out. My kids loved it. It is definitely better than the remake.

Good music some famous songs. Mickey Rooney is the dragon and Helen Reddy plays Pete. A good time is had by all. Extras are my favorite

This movie is old but I loved it as a kid and still live it to this day T.I see the difference between the new one and old one.

This original by Disney is a fun musical story involving a young boy and a dragon that can turn invisible so that no one else will see him. But, someone does. Which sets off a series of events to capture the dragon.

Our chrildren enjoyed Petes Dragon when they were young an now our granddaughter is finding the same enjoyment decades later. Great
