GREAT movie and wonderful idea for Disney to recreate this movie as a real actor movie (not older animation and actor like the first Pete's Dragon movie). Wonderful family storyline and concept, too.

A wonderful family film. Looks nice on blu-ray, would've got on Ultra 4K format if it was available, but it's not. Twelve year old son and I saw in theatres and now have it for our home library.

All though i am a fan, of the original movie, this movie is a great family movie to watch. As it compares to the original, to me there is no comparison. Both movies are equally fun, and entertaining.

This is a very nice little movie. It is generally assumed to be a remake of the 1977 film by the same title, but the plot is completely different. Even the locations are different, the first movie taking place on the seacoast while this one takes place in the mountains.

Adequate remake to an old movie, but enjoyable enough.

Loved it. The original is one of my all time favorites.possibly because of the music and I like musicals. The new film is not a musical but has a great story for family viewing which all will enjoy.

40 years later and this one it a remake that was needed to get kids to see and hear this story (and to let some of us remember what we might have forgotten). Ended up buying the original as well.

Disney's second attempt at a live action remake was far better than it got credit for. Pete's Dragon has action, drama, comedy, and adventure! I fully recommend this movie!

This movie is an awesome family movie! The imagination of a child is endless and Petes Dragon shows that! This movie kept all ages intrigued and wishing they had a friend like Elliot and Pete!

I really loved this movie as a kid. Its a new twist on an old story. It makes me want to be a kid again. Of course quality of the Dvd and blue are great. Cant go wrong with the DVD Blue combo!

Wasn't sure how I'd like this or not compared to the original. It's a suitable remake good for all ages. A decent family adventure made to today's modern CGI standards and without the singing too. I liked it, not a mind-blowing instant classic but still a fun watch from Disney.

Amazing effects, great characters, and magical story all add up to a top notch movie. I'm a bit picky when it comes to an hour and a half in front of the TV but this movie did not disappoint!

A good rendition of the old original movie. The story revolves around the bond between friends and family and evokes some powerful emotions along the way for the viewer.

This was a great family movie. My wife was a huge fan of the original and was not disappointed. I never saw the original, but thought it was a lot of fun and the kids love Elliot the dragon.

I like that Disney is making live action movies of all of their animated classics. This one is very good. The CGI is flawless (you will believe the dragon is there) and the story is heartwarming and sweet. The acting is very good especially the kids, and it is nice to see Robert Redford.

Had to get this when it came out for my kids to watch. Loved the story reading it growing up and the cartoon version. This reproduction with real life characters was great! Would recommend.

I actually really enjoyed this movie. I can't say the last time I watched the original, so I can't compare right now. It was a fun, cute story that should be appreciated.

This version of Pete"s Dragon is not a copy of the original and work its own magic on your heart . A sweet and heartwarming family adventure . Excellent blu ray picture .

Disney is really getting into the live action and Pete's Dragon was a real feel good movie. Not in line with the original movie, but just as entertaining. Well worth a family movie night
