For fans of this film, and the entire wild PHANTASM series, this new transfer is a revelation. It's like watching a completely new film with fresh eyes. Absolutely worth getting for fans, or the mildly curious. Sad that it didn't get a full UHD release, but this is a great version either way.

This movie is a classic for those into the horror genre. The video and sound quality are better than previous versions and is worth the price of admission. Get this if a true fan.

One of the most iconic horror film scores is the soundtrack to this film. And JJ Abrams and Bad Robot Productions brought us the Terror fest in one of the greatest remasters I've ever seen come to bluray!

I had heard that the movies was a "classic" and when I saw it on the shelf at the price, I decided it was time. I've only had time to watch the beginning so far so not sure what the fascination was. But still glad I have it. Good transfer to HD.

Love this horror classic! I've always wanted Reggie and the quad barrel team up with Ash and the boomstick, that would be groovy.

This was a movie I remember watching when I was much younger and when I saw it was out in Blu Ray I had to have it. The story is about soul taker that is good at his job. And if he gets in a pinch he has a sphere that is always ready to help out.

The steel book looks amazing. The movie didn’t hold up overtime though.

If you are a fan of horror this movie is a great watch very happy to see it redone and finding a steel book was really cool.

Phantasm has become a cult classic series with sequels. I actually saw the second one first. And heard how great the original is. Like so many other series, there's nothing like the original. A must have for horror fans

this is a underrated classic horror film that any horror buff should own its got a great story plus a legendary bad guy who never stops scaring you at every turn

I remember watching this movie at the drive-in theater back in 1979 on the hood of my Dad's station wagon. I highly recommend this movie, it's unlikely anything out there. It has your zombies, alien, time travel, dimensional travel, etc.

Phantasm - from the same guy that brought you "John Dies in the End" - is a classic is simple horror and terror. With Angus Scrim as the mortician who turns dead bodies into Jawas and has a floating silver dagger ball. Now on Blu-Ray.

Great transfer from a 4K master but I am sorely disappointed that this was not released as a 4K disc. So much other garbage is out on 4K but the classics still remain to surface.

Great remastered version of the horror classic. The Tall Man has never looked or sounded more sinister. Really cool special features including a public access interview with Coscarelli and Angus Scrimm. Must own for horror fans.

This was one of the first movies I bought back when Sony Beta players were the hottest thing on the market. I enjoyed it then and like it even more now on Blue-ray. It still creeps me out. The special features add to the film.

I am not into horror movies but this one has held up over time.

This remaster edition of the original Phantasm on Blu-Ray is the only edition you need to consider. Picture and sound quality are top-notch in this restoration of the beloved cult horror classic! Highly recommended!

Phantasm is a good cult film in the horror genre and even has an interesting story to back it up. It's not for everyone but for less than $15 I think it's worth owning. It's not one of my favorite horror films but it's still worth a watch. Others love it and it's sequels, which evidently are several.
