Tom Hanks' role in this film is for the ages. It makes me sad to think that we once treated people this way because we didn't fully understand the disease of AIDS. The picture was near perfect. The sound was quite nice too. This gets my recommendation.

Two good actors Tom hanks and denzel Washington are remembered in this 1992 movie Philadelphia about a lawyer who is discriminated against because he is gay and and has aids and his fired from his job at the law firm forcing him into a life on the streets and homelessness and yes the theme song streets of Philadelphia is pretty good also and remembered for being a theme song to that movie by Bruce springsteen

Great movie that really showed what an amazing actor Tom Hanks is and solidified him as a dramatic actor and not just a comedian. 4k definitely improved the movie look and sound.

Expertly made and acted. To this day, this movie packs a punch in how serious the HIV situation was/is and how we need to empathize with people who suffer from this incurable disease.

This is a native 4K transfer so there is no resolution loss here at all. The movie itself is a landmark film. I watched it with my wife and daughter and its quite an emotional journey throughout the movie.

I recently purchased this title and all I can say is that it is a great film and they did a fantastic job with the remastering. Everything looks fine and quite excited that I picked it up.

Sony does it again, they have been putting out some of the very best 4K Blu-ray discs period and that is the case with Philadelphia. Excellent film and 4K Blu-ray. Highly recommended.

TOM HANKS AND DANZELL WASHINGTON WERE OUTSTANDING IN THEIR CHARACTER PARTS; THE OPERETTA MUSIC WAS OUTSTANDING. THE PLOT AND MESSAGE WAS WAS CLEAR AND TO THE POINT.

This stirring drama from 1993 is an exemplary film about the human condition. I was so moved by this movie that it stars with me for a week.
