I love it! Most importantly, it does exactly what it says. Contrary to some other reviewers the Roku remote snapped right in with a little extra pressure/effort. It thought it would feel bulky too, but it doesn't. I love being able to adjust the volume & control the Roku with 'one' remote. This is such a good purchase.

Watch out! Be aware that this will not fit the Roku Streaming Stick, or Roku Voice Remote (RCA1R). You have been warned, and Philips is no help. You will end up with volume button runaway. I used a Dremel to modify the volume button channel. You will also have to fill the void area for the shorter length of the Roku remote.

Great product . Has the unique ability to collocate 2 remotes and ensures the retention of the devise. The item has easily paired with my existing peripherals.

I bought this because I was looking for an easy and convenient way to control my TV's without the hassle of having a lot of remotes in the drawer. This solved my problem. Its almost like a logitech harmony remote except this one is cheap. I tried to get one on amazon, but the main seller was out and my second option was +$15 for expedited shipping. Thank goodness I found this on best buy! Once I received it this was so easy to set up. Lucky my brother was here and he brought his tiny screws with him. We didnt have one. Make sure you insert the remote first before the battery. Once I was done this remote controlled my TV right out of the box! No programming needed. Love it!! Great buy!!!!

Handy 2-in-1 Remote

I bought this in the store after trying 3 different types of universal remotes unsuccessfully. The Roku remote slides into the main remote. We were constantly losing the tiny Roku remote, so this 2-in-1 was a perfect fix. It is quite large and does take some time to get used to the unusual button placement, which was frustrating at first. Oddly, the power and volume buttons are on the side of this bulky remote, so you have to be careful to not inadvertently press them while using either side of the remote. Also important to note, you will need a mini Phillips screwdriver to access the battery compartment on the main remote, which must be removed in order to slide in the Roku remote. The Roku remote must have 2 AAA batteries installed and the universal remote also needs 2 AAA batteries in order to function. I recommend fresh, high quality batteries because replacement is a pain. Programming the universal remote took several tries to find the right code, but once set, the remote works well. Overall, after getting used to it, I am planning on purchasing a second one for another room.

Overall, I would say the remote is not bad, there are a few design issues that I have, one being that unless you're left-handed, which I am, you’ll constantly have your hand over the power button and the volume buttons which are on the side of the remote. All buttons should be on the face of the remote.
I do like the fact that the old Roku remote slides into the bottom of this remote.
I had an issue with this when I was setting up this remote because the same design issue leaves the old remote buttons easily pressable, as my hand constantly touches the bottom of the remote. However, the problem was easily solved after setting up the remote. I just removed the batteries from the older remote, slid it back into the new remote, and now I never have to worry where the old remote is. And without batteries it poses no inadvertent button pressing problems.
So overall, the remote does what I ask of it, and that is to be a better replacement. For the Roku remotes, with the addition of having a number pad.
I give this a remote as thumbs up.

I went to Best Buy looking for a RCA or TERK universal remote after we cut the cord and went with Roku. We have a Blu-Ray player, a TV and a soundbar, all of which had to be individually turned on and off either with their separate remotes or at the device--inconvenient. Also, the TV and Blu-Ray player are quite old (purchased in 2006 and 2012 respectively) and I was worried about finding a remote that would operate them.
At the store, I didn't see the RCA remote I'd come for, which cost $24.99, but I did see this one for $5 less. As I looked at it, I realized it was perfect for us.
It has a recess in the back of the remote where your Roku remote can be installed. The installation is seamless and easy. Once I had the Roku remote installed, I entered the codes for the TV, Blu-Ray and soundbar, and each worked flawlessly on the first try. Now, we can turn on and off each device, operate it from the remote, and when viewing the Roku streaming, just flip the device over and use the Roku remote. I can't imagine anything easier or more convenient.
I guess the only drawback I'd mention is that there isn't a "system on" button which turns everything on at the same time; you have to press the device button and then the power button on the remote for each one. I can live with that, though.
If you have a Roku, this is the remote to get.

Simple device to unite the TV remote and the Roku remote. Although paring with my TCL TV took some trial and error and a little bit too much time, eventually got it to work... Not 100%. But to a point I can do what I normally need on the daily basis. Unable to browse through menu in TV's built in smart app. Works fine with Samsung Q700A sound bar, volume and input. Wife is not too happy about it since there is learning curve, need to select TV, then press side power button, etc. Wish it has better programming or automation between devices. Changing battery could be inconvenient since you need to remove a small screw, who still use screw on remote?
Anyway it fulfill my basic needs for the price point.

Product worked as intended. But it is big and the hollow part in the back makes it awkward to use and hold. there is no need to store a real Roku control in the back. That is not required.

Very easy to set up. Controller is bulkier than I thought it would be, and takes some getting used to but having an all in 1 instead of different remotes is so much more easier and organized

Got this to use in my bedroom. I moved my old surround system to bedroom. With that, cable box, and a Roku, this remote makes it easy to change between devices. No actual input button for my Denon receiver, but a few of the number keys do change a couple inputs, so win there. Just need to hit all the buttons to see what they do after you enter the code for your device. The top remote will control the roku without flipping it over.

The unit works fine, but it's quite large (especially because it houses the Roku remote). And speaking of that, does it ACTUALLY need to have the remote tucked into its turtle shell? It seems like the unit itself doesn't even need the Roku remote. But it works well for what I need.

This Phillips remote extended the functionality of my Roku remote. The clever design combines the 2 remotes into one unit allowing control of a Sceptre brand monitor including but not limited to on/off, volume, channels and source. Great value too!

Easy to program! Works great, however my ROKU didn’t fit very well inside, when I forced it to fit it didn’t work. When I took it out it worked. I haven’t taken the time to try it again, perhaps the battery got pushed out of alignment when I forced the ROKU remote in. But this remote does work and works well!
