My husband purchased one of these first. I had the 7" screen Phillips player which I have had for about 10 years. When we got his 9" Phillips player and I saw how large the screen was and that it was portable for the car I wanted one, too. I have enjoyed it and it is great to watch. I have a Kindle that I watch movies on but it is great to have a larger screen.

I purchase this portable CD player to watch movies while flying on long trips. Works great and the battery last a long time. It is also compact enough not to be a problem in backpack. Easy to follow instructions.

I got one as a gift 4 years ago. My 5 grandkids have played this dvd player many times and it is still in excellent shape. Beautiful picture and long battery life. So I bought one for my granddaughter and she loves it. Bought 2 more Philips dvd players off of amazon for 2 more granddaughters. And when I need more for the other grandkids, I hope I can still get this one.

This is a great player and lightweight and easy to use when traveling. I usually don't carry a laptop and don't like watching movies on a phone and this is an inexpensive device so there's no stress about losing it or worrying about leaving it in a hotel room. Also handy for kids to use in the back seat during trips. Not fragile or costly

We purchased this unit at the store as a replacment for one that was getting old, sluggish and faulty. We needed something that would hold a good charge and easily plug into the car if needed. This device fit the bill. Our daughter seems very pleased with the unit and haven't had any issues.

Nice product so far. Battery lasts enough and charges fast. Quality of picture and sound are acceptable for the price. Good value for price, shame it only works with DVD Zone 1, which are rubbish because have only English and Spanish, some also French. Why European DVDs come with 6-7 different languages, and in the US 2, max 3?

It has been a long time since ive had a portable dvd player and the old one that I did have finally broke so this was the replacement. The screen on this portable is excellent and perfectly sized, not to large but not to small. Battery life is decent yet there is not much else I can say. Time will tell how long this one lasts.

After consulting with a Best Buy employee, at his recommendation I purchased the Philips portable DVD player for my grandson to use while travelling in the car due to the prolonged battery life. The DVD player appears to have good clarity, however, when using the cloth case that accompanied the DVD player accessing the tray to place or change a DVD is quite cumbersome. The case covers the corners of the DVD player and has to be removed to change the DVD. Also, the quality of the case is inferior as the elastic band which holds the top of DVD player in place started to tear on first use. Coincidently, a family member purchased the same DVD player and had the same issue with the case.

There are many companies that make this DVD player; I like its portability and can take it with me from room to room and out when I'm on vacation or just to the pool or gym. The size of the screen also make it easier on the eye and I have enjoyed having it available anytime, anywhere and when I want!

I bought this to replace a smaller version my sister had previously. She is handicapped but is able to work this dvd player by herself with no trouble. Pictures are sharp and volume is fine for her.

Purchased this recently for use in the car and on airplanes for the kids. Seems to have a high quality picture and battery life is much better than our older player.

Purchased this for travel. Great size, although a little heavier than our last portable DVD player (attribute that to a larger screen). Easy-to-use. Graphics are decent. Good-sized screen for the portability, works well for our purposes!

Worked well for our trip. Easy to use. Our 6-year old granddaughter had everything figured out quickly. Only problem was it wouldn't charge when plugged in the car. Still working to figure that out. It did play while plugged in.

Purchased this dvd player for our grandson who is 16 months old. He loves watching his favorite dvd's on the trip to and from our house to his. I recommend this dvd player as it is a great product, has a large screen and the battery lasts for 5 hours.

Drove 1309 miles over 3 days with a 3 yr old TWICE. Player worked well. Picture was very good. If your car has a lot of road noise, the sound may be challenging at times. If you buy a travel case that straps to the back of a seat, please note that the power button to turn on and off is not remote controlled. This was a little inconvenient as it meant manually pulling it out of the travel case a little to power it on or off. The slide button to open and close the lid to remove disc is also on the side and again, you have to pull it out of travel case a little to do this. In other words, an adult should def sit in back to operate it. For the price it was good. I would probably look for one that allows sound to play through car speakers if available.

My kids love this did player. They are between the ages of 4-8. They love a little handheld did player that they can change the disc. They love carrying this round and having full control over what they watch! Definitely recommend for kids!

Very happy with this Phillips portable DVD player. Very nice picture and sound, and all for a reasonable price. Even comes with a strap to hook your player up to the back of a car seat.
