The light strips are good for tight placement and works well as ambient lighting.

Setting up the lights is fast and simple with a very straight forward installation process. The lights only come in a 6 foot string. You can trim it down to fit the area that you are using it for however only in three inch sections which means that you may lose more lights. The 3M adhesive gives away after s short period of useage and I actually had to staple it to the furniture that I was using it to accent. With that said it is s fun piece of technology that helps you to impress your friends. It works with various apps and will flash and change color when playing music.

In my experience, I just wanted the strip till I found out you HAVE to buy the starter kit. It's a great combination especially you have bar scene going. The price is high but the lights are really entertaining.

I have this item under my bar area at my home. It's very attractive and receives a lot of attention and is a focal point for guest. Only recommended if you can hide the cord and plug well and the stickiness can lose its touch so get it right the first time.

These strips work great as accent lights on top of cabinets and as back lighting for my TV. Ive converted just about every light in my home to Hue. Pricey, but sooo worth it! Even my Dad who is uber critical found them to be nifty when he came out for a visit :-)

watching big screen tv with all features in own sitting room ......as if you are watching movie in movie theater.....very exciting experience..... one touch remote...everything is on your finger tip.......as if you have brought small movie theater at home.....

If you can find a good place to put them. You do not want these as a direct light source We put these running along the bottom of our entertainment center and really accents it. I program this and the ambient light behind the tv to match. Very cool looking!

All of these lights work amazing, this strip can stick to any surface you want and syncs with all other hue bulbs you have. these lights are so slick, and fun apps to download on your phone as well. you can control the lights from your phone or computer.

The Hue Light family of products are simply amazing! The LED light strip is a perfect complement to the bulbs and can be grouped with them to perform the same functionality via the HUE app or any of a host of 3rd party apps.

These are great accent lights for under shelves. The color changes allowed by the hue system add so much depth to a room but, this is not what you want to start with if you are automating all your lights. Get a starter pack with down lights or normal sized bulbs first.

Great lights I just wish they would dim more than they do, they seem bright to me at the lowest dim that's why I give it 4.5 rating but only because of my own preference.

I love the add on light and ways that I can use them. The sticky back is great or you can leave it on and staple it to something. Make sure you use wire staples that allow for clearance around the light. Awesome!

I have this behind my Samsung curved TV. It turns on automatically when I turn the TV, I don't know how it knows to turn on when the TV is turned on though. Works great with the hue line of products.

I can't believe I waited this long to install these lights behind my TV - it makes a dramatic difference! Plus I can change the color based on what I'm watching by using the app on my iPhone.

I have this mounted to back of cabinet under 65" tv. So its really nice when you want a dark room but not pitch black. Only complaint is the color output doesn't really match the bulbs at times. Could do better oranges and yellows.
