This is a great product the only downside is that it gets pricey but really pleased with the results. I decided to add to my kitchen and living room it created beautiful environments with ease at a press of a button. Initial setup was easy the only issue I encountered was adding light bulbs from it what initially came with like I bought 2 3pack bundles so the first 3 bulbs were easy the 2nd pack of bulbs.had to add them through the serial number no big deal it was still easy but they worked like a charm.

Had difficulty finding the hub bridge with the Hue app! Ugh. The Hub bridge had all 3 lights on steady but still couldn't connect! Finally downloaded the app for my cox panaramic router and found it was connected to my wifi but not active and it displayed the IP Address. Went back to the Hue app and added the hub again and selected options and for the 40th time used the IP address intead and walla...finally was able to connect the hub! The lights worked great for my kitchen bar. I am able to set them with different colors or the same depending on the scene I create for the room. I have the remote working as well, loving that conveience feature since I dont always have my phone. Alexa was able to find my new lights (devices) as well and she can turn them on and off and set them any color you can think of. I tried to sync spotify with the bar lights on my tv but for some reason that feature isnt working, I did set them also for a sync box with the tv so perhaps its one or the other? I will have to keep playing with them. Overall I was frustrated for a couple hours till I troubleshooted the hug bridge connectivity issue, but once that was working I was pretty happy with the lighting and the ability to control them in multiple ways. I would recommend this starter pack, its a great deal and you will be super happy once you figure it out. :) Cheers!

I absolutely love the Philips Hue lighting system. Super easy to use and setup. There are millions of color options and it syncs nicely with Alexa. It can be controlled from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection and the app setup. There are about 10 out of the box scenes but its easy to create your own custom ones. Just really enjoying this product. My only recommendation is to purchase this kit first then add additional bulbs to it later.

I replaced my often failing IKEA Tradfri setup with this kit. At 50% off, this kit is a steal, but any discount would help. It took all of five minutes out of the box to setup - turn on your lights, turn on the remote, connect the hub, and download the app. The lights + switch in the kit are already pre-paired to the hub, so discovery was immediate. I use Siri, Google Assistant, IFTTT, and Alexa in my home and it was easy to integrate the Hue bulbs into each of those ecosystems.

Item is as advertised. Easily replaced existing compact fluoresents with these. Very easy to install hub and connect to lights. Remote works great for turning lights on and off, but not changing colors, however can do that easily with HUE app downloaded to my cell phone. Had a little trouble connecting the HUE bridge to my Alexa dot, but finally persevered and can now turn all of my kitchen lights off and on using Alexa or remote or app on cell phone. Very pleased with purchase.

If you are looking to start with the Philips Hue ecosystem start here! This package contains everything you need to get going. it includes 3 hue white and color bulbs, the hue hub, and the handy dimmer remote. The set up was super easy, the hue app walks you through it all. Plugging in the Hue hub was simple it just requires an ethernet connection and power. From there it found all of my bulbs, let me set up rooms and rename each bulb to better control them all. Each piece has a high-quality feel and finish, nothing feels cheap or that it will break easily. The white and color blub arent the brightest especially at the full-color hues but they put off enough light to replace a standard blub easily. The app is super simple and you can select and save any color and brightness level to create scenes. We even hooked our up to our google home and we can ask Google to set Movie time to dim the lights and tell us to enjoy the movie. If you are on the fence about smart light I will say that there are more affordable products out there but if you are looking for an easy, high-quality product this is it. Also, Hue is expanding its products all the time so it's nice to know that I can buy something new and it seamlessly integrates into the system.

Philips hue is the leader in smart lighting and gas by far the most complete lighting solutions. The app is easy to set up and lighter pair well with smart assistants. The main drawback is price - these bulls and most hue products are significantly more expensive than competitors. They do have many different settings you can customize (scenes you can set, color options, timers, etc) But you are paying a high premium for the top end products in the category.

This is a better deal than buying 3 separate color bulbs. For some reason Phillips seems to keep pricing the bundles that way. They all work well, the included switch/dimmer is very useful as well to take the place of a wall switch if you don't always want to use your phone. Good value to include. Wish they would sell a bundle pack that did not include another hub, since you most likely won't ever need one unless you have a ton of lights on your system.

I recently purchased this starter kit and worked amazing right out of the box. Easy to set up and get them going. My only hang up with these lights is the cost of them. At the end of the day, they are a lightbulb. I also did not like the Phillips hue app. Not very user-friendly and if you want to use the lights in different ways you have to purchase different app example having the lights sync with music or show different scenes.

I bought this kit to replace two wifi smartbulbs I had since they were kicking other things off the network. Easy to set up. One snag was I didn't install all the bulbs when I set up the hub orginally and then the hub and app wouldn't locate the other bulbs. Quick fix was to delete the two bulbs from the app/hub and add them as new. Now I have all the bulbs working and can control them with the app or my Dots.

There are just so many features: I love that my house looks like I'm home and active even when I'm out! And when I'm in I can turn lights on and off, dim and brighten them, and change colors to my heart's content by phone using the Philips App or voice with Siri, or shout out to my Alexa Echos and literally watch my world change. Did I rush out the door for work and forget to turn off the lights in the home office or a hallway, no prob, I have total control using my phone. Am I feeling mellow, or a bit blue, or like celebrating, no problem, I change room colors to match me. FYI - when I really like a product and it's on sale with a member's discount to boot - I buy multiples: I just purchased my 4th color kit which is cheaper than buying bulbs in onsies or twosies. I think I'm good now.

Quite honestly the easiest set-up of any connected device I have had to use. The process was simple and actually kinda fun. The apps are all easy to use to control the lights, even my Amazon Echo does a great job connected to the unit so it helps me turn off/on all the lights. The kids and I love the light shows we can do. I highly recommend the Hue Lights for functionality and FUN

I started the smart light craze by purchasing LIFX. Not knocking them, other than they are a bit pricey. So I switched over to the Philips Line based on the reviews. So far, have purchased Philips Play for behind my TV, those are amazing. Then I picked up this starter kit, super simple to set up, works flawless with a google and Apple home kit. Colors are very vibrant, makes a wonderful edition to our home.

Great started kit. Would lighly recommend it. The remote switch is a great feature. I would a few of these because I plan to make all the lights in the house hue bulbs. Expensive but a nice luxury. The hub only adds up to 50 lights and always good to have an extra hub for expansion or back up. Count your bulbs for hue. Indoors, outdoors, garage, 1st floor, and 2nd floor.

I had first bought some cheaper smart lights because I thought the Hue lights were a bit more complicated than necessary for smart lights (having to setup the bridge adapter). After buying this bundle, I realized they were brighter, more interactive and worth it. I find myself using the smart switch a lot and enjoy setting the lighting to change on a schedule.

    Choose Hue over LIFX

When I started doing the smart home lights, I chose to go down the LIFX path, namely because of the Hue entry price point and I was just experimenting and was not wanting to spend a lot for experimentation. LIFX stuff is painful and your constantly having to reset and also individually setting the products. They are very frustrating. Now I have switched to Hue and it just works. The concept of a hub is excellent, and this is the way to go in comparison to LIFX. More money up front, but worth it, but save you in the long haul, especially in your time.

I have purchased 4 sets of Phillips Hue lights from Best Buy. They work flawlessly and I have really enjoyed the variety of colors and flexibility for dimming. Being able to program them to come on and off, as well as controlling them from my smart phone gives me an added sense of security when I am not at home. The dimmer switch is a nice addition.

I use this in my everyday life and it works like a charm. The luxury of being able to control my lights from anywhere is a big help. Plus, the included remote can control all of my lights even if the hub is not connected to the internet. It works seamlessly with my Amazon Echo and my other devices. The only problem that I have with it (if any) is that it won't work with my smart home devices if it doesn't have an internet connection. Other than that, this is a very luxurious and well made device to have. PS, I can change the color of my room to whatever I want. That's pretty cool.
