Choose wisely with the brand of smart technology you want to use. While I’ve never been keen about the price for Phillips’s Hue equipment, I cannot fault them for charging what they charge for what I feel is a lifetime’s use of the is one bulb and equipment. Buy it once and never need to swap it out again. While I am disappointed my light bill did not go down considering I have gone ALL LED in my home; I am hoping the choice and selection I’ve made is both hugging on the planet while making room for all kinds of fun ambience and fun play to fit my mood all over the house. Now if I can get the neighborhood scammers and stalkers off my back; I’d actually be able to use the thousands of dollars of equipment I have invested in.

Love the ease of use of the Hue system lights. They were easy to add for a quick lighting option for Halloween. Used app to set upgrade schedule just 30mins out from actual time and was able to get bulbs to update to 1.22.8 which gave option for the Halloween effects to run automatically. Also got them at a great sale price.

Adding these Hue 75W bulbs to my existing setup was ridiculously easy. Within minutes, they were synced up and ready to go—no hassle, no frustration, just instant brightness! Speaking of which, the increased brightness is a game-changer. My space went from "cozy cave" to "wow, I can actually see everything." Whether I'm working or just relaxing, these bulbs make a big difference. Super simple setup and impressive lighting—definitely worth it!

Finally, a brighter bulb from Hue!

Finally! A 75w equivalent bulb from Hue! I always felt their 60w equivalent bulbs were not bright enough... this helps out a lot... Hue needs a hub (either there's or one like Smartthings, Hubitat, or Homeassistant (the easiest to use is their hub). The plus side is it doesn't use WIFI to control the bulbs, so all the bulbs don't clutter your wifi network. The downside is that Hue are quite expensive. They're good quality and solid/easy to use, but kinda expensive.

Love my Phillips Hue lights. I have been using Phillip Hues for over 5 years, and they are still going strong. Have only needed to replace one of the bulbs. I have added to my collection and my whole room is lit by the Phillips bulbs. They conserve on electricity and works well with your electronic products to help with home automation. You can set any light seen for rest and relaxation, or use vibrant colors to up your mood any time of day. It also features a wake feature where the lights slowly powers on as it gets to your alarm time. You can also set your lights to follow the natural daylight patter.

    A $40~ish dollar light bulb.

Brighter than the 60W version, which is positive because I found the originals decent, but lacking brightness in many hues. This is still about a $40 + light bulb. They seem high quality, and fit my existing ecosystem, but the price adds up quick the more you add to your space. It's very easy to have more in light bulbs that you have in your lamps!

Easy to use, and durable. I use these as my living room lights, so they get used everyday. They lasted over a year of everyday use, and they were very easy to set up and use. I used the philips hue app and the google home apps to control them, and adding them to the google home was super easy and straightforward. I did have a home mini, so I could even use voice controls with no problems. After my first bulb started malfunctioning I went and bought a new one without any hesitation. I recommend it to everyone I talk to about smart lights. Its easy for my older parents too, and they enjoy the different lighting options. 10/10

I've been using Hue bulbs for years now with the Hue bridge. I control them with my iPhone using the Hue app and or the Alexa app. I also use Alexa devices to control them with my voice. I have them all over the house including the front entrance. They work great and last a long time.

I had some other RGB lights installed. When i finally bit the bullet and purchased the Philips RGB light i found there is a visible difference. The color range is much wider then the other rgb light even though both state they have full rgb range. This lights are amazing and because i also have the bridge it makes controlling my lights that much easier. Great product. Worth the cost

I'm a Hue fan and predominantly use their smart bulbs throughout my house alongside throughout my house with a Hue bridge and Smartthings hub. When these new 75W-equivalent 1100 lumen bulbs were announced, I immediately jumped in excitement since my older Hue 800 lumen bulbs were always a smidge darker than other companies' 800 lumen bulbs. PACKAGING: Hue packages always look nice and classy and the actual device always feels secure. That tradition stays true with the 75W 1100 lumen bulb. Of the few I ordered, I did have one bulb that was DOA due to a mechanical issue; I could hear something tiny and loose rattling around when I shook it. SETUP: easy peasy using the Hue app on my Android phone. Mind you, I use it with a Hue bridge so I can't attest to the standalone Bluetooth mode. After finishing pairing to the Hue bridge step, the next step was pairing it with my Smartthings Hub. This step is also easy as long as you know where to go in Samsung's poorly designed app: Go to "Add Device" > Sort "By Brand" > pick "Philips Hue" and follow the prompts. Reminder for anyone new to Hue, you must have a Hue bridge if you want it to connect into Smartthings. You can also connect both Hue and/or Smartthings to the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa and have the bulbs show up there, too. BRIGHTNESS: This is where my excitement died a little. As other reviewers have noted, these 1100 lumen bulbs aren't significantly brighter than the Hue 800 lumen variants. In order to achieve maximum brightness, you have to set the color temperature to 4000K but be prepared for disappointment in the 2700K-3200K range. In general, Philips Hue's bulbs are always a smidge dimmer next to the competition (where my super old Sylvania Lightify 800 lumen bulbs were brighter than my Hue 800 lumen bulbs). RESPONSE TIME: Hue is always very fast thanks to the Hue bridge which locally processes the request to turn On or Off. Again, I don't use the Bluetooth mode and can't attest to its speed there. For what it's worth, I've used other companies' bulbs (like the aforementioned Sylvania Lightify 60W 800 lumen bulbs) when connected to my Smartthings Hub and you can feel a delay. CONCLUSION: If you're shopping for Hue bulbs, might as well skip the $40 60W 800 lumen bulbs and go right for the $50 75W 1100 lumen bulbs. It's worth the extra $10 for the slight bump in brightness BUT don't expect miracles if you're looking to upgrade from the 800 lumen version. For all of the reasons above, it deserves a 4-star "Good" rating but not a top flight rating.

When I initially started dipping my toes into the smart lighting pool, I went with Cync by GE since they were considerably cheaper. I've had nothing but issues with those so I decided to pony up for the more expensive Hue lights and I have not regretted it! Generally I get the color lights mainly because they can make the bright cool white light I prefer whereas the non color bulbs are too warm for my preference. These are more expensive but in my opinion they are absolutely worth it compared to other bulbs I've tried. They work, plain and simple, they just work and I will gladly pay more for something reliable rather than constantly having to fiddle with and reset them.

In the only one I know with them. I can’t stand “the big light” and harsh florescent white is for cleaning and searching for lost items only. Hue allows for integration of a countless number of bulbs. Timers, automations, color settings, light and tv sync, these do it all. They go on sale regularly so dont pay full price and the investment is far more reasonable. If you end up getting the sync box and tv backlights in combination with these, it really creates a dynamic movie watching experience. Worth every penny.

Love phillips hue white and color ambience bulbs. My whole house is phillips hue, and I love the fact that with the hue bridge, the room and tv change to match what is playing. It is the coolest thing and would definitely recommend getting the hue bridge with the bulbs

This bulb works as expected. I like that you can adjust the colors and save your favorites on the Hue app. The only complaint I have is that I think's overpriced. I would like another one to use as my porch light but will wait until it goes on sale and I have rewards $$$ to redeem to get it down to a price I can somewhat justify paying.

Okay I admit it I am kind of addicted to Philips Hue products. They aren't the cheapest smart bulbs around but the quality has been great over the years and they have made solid improvements in the native app as well as integrating into Apple HomeKit.
