This purchase may be better as a 'screw and go' bulb. Having to buy the hub makes this product so much of a hassle. UGH! This bulb better knock my socks off.

Not to be confused with 3rd gen

If you're expecting the improved color range of the 3rd generation, this is not it. If you really like deeper greens and blues, then spend the extra money on the latest version. If you mainly like red, orange, or white there isn't much difference.
