Customers are delighted by the Hue Dimmer Switch's ease of use and setup, compatibility with existing lights, and sleek design. Many appreciate its remote control functionality, long battery life, and magnetic attachment. However, some find the price a bit high and the size slightly larger than previous versions.

Syracuse lights all over the house. This is so much easier than pulling out the phone or asking Siri to turn on and off the lights.

The Philips Hue Dimmer Switch is a game-changer for anyone with Hue lights! Installation took less than five minutes, and it instantly became my favorite way to control my lights. The switch is sleek, responsive, and fits beautifully anywhere in the house—no wiring needed. I love that I can adjust brightness and switch between my favorite scenes with just a click. It’s perfect for those times when I don’t want to pull out my phone or shout at Alexa. Reliable, easy to use, and stylish, this dimmer switch adds convenience to everyday living. A smart home essential!

Great light switch that also doubles as a remote. The remote is held to the plate by a magnet - great engineering! It took a few seconds to pair to the system that I have and has worked flawlessly to turn on the bedroom's connected hue bulbs and light strip. I will probably buy more of these for other rooms simply for the convince factor of not having to speak to Siri or open an app. The buttons are programmable and let you shortcut to any previously saved scene as well as dimming and power on/off. Love it.

This switch is easy to use and very easy to setup and install. It’s very easy to set up in the HUE app and connects straight to the wall with two small adhesive strips. The magnetic controller is great to take to another room and control other lights.

A bit expensive for what it is, but if you have existing Hue smart lights, this is a convenient way to operate them without having to pull out your phone every time. Battery lasts about a year and is easy to change.
Works with Apple HomeKit too.

For my comfort to age in place (and for anyone with disabilities), I have updated my home (bit by bit) with Smart Devices/Bulbs (and yes, that includes HUE Bulbs). This has made life so much easier (since I don't have to go room by room across the entire house and just have to use my SmartDevice to turn off every room's bulbs now).
This 'switch' is magnetic to a holder that basically I stick on a pillar in each room (this way when they use the guest room, they have an easy to use control to dim, turn on/off and otherwise make it more comfortable lighting-wise).
For that purpose, it fits the bill, the battery lasts a good long time (I've had the same battery now a couple years in one switch for example).

I have many of these installed in my house now and really like that they add more functionality to my lights. Yes, you could just use the app, however, when company is over it allows them to have more control over the light's in the room they are staying in without having to have a big explanation of how to use the software. It allows you to configure different light modes for different use case scenarios. (I don't know why these older relatives that come over to my house always have to use a light switch LOL. So this saves me the trouble of having to put switchguards on there so they can't turn off the physical switch and then wonder why the light won't work later.)

This Hue light switch practices true non-attachment. It neither strives nor complains—it simply turns the light on, turns it off, or dwells peacefully in the soft middle of dim. It asks nothing, promises nothing, and achieves everything it was meant to. In its quiet click is a small reminder: illumination isn’t found in apps or updates, but in the stillness between on and off.

Best purchase ever. It’s so versatile with other products outside Hue family. Works with Alexa and Siri too. Easy to install and there are wall plates available to match. Definitely buying more soon.

I really like these things. They make multilight turnon's way easier. For instance, I have scenes tied to two lights, within the same room, but on two different switches. Makes it real easy for folks who don't know or care to turn on (or off) both lights in a room because 'that switch is just too far away'!
They seem to hold up pretty well too. Bought these because the original kinetically powered devices are no longer available, which work in much the same fashion.
Pretty expensive for what it is though, as are all Hue devices.

I really love the way this new switch works vs. the old version. And better yet is uses a more standard battery that is easy to find anywhere. My favorite new feature is the fact that you can set a scene to activate based on what time of day it is. And the hue button cycles through all the scenes you have for the lights it activates. It really does everything I could want.

Easy to setup, via the Hue Hub. The Hue app allows the remote to be configured in Home Assistant for more advanced customizations on what the buttons do like single click or long click.

Philips Hue Dimmer Switch

For users invested in the Philips Hue ecosystem, the Hue Dimmer Switch is widely considered a valuable, if not essential, accessory. It bridges the gap between smart app/voice control and the convenience of a traditional physical switch. Its ease of use, flexible placement options, and reliable performance make it a practical addition to almost any room with Hue lights.
While it might seem a bit pricey for "just a switch," the convenience it adds, especially in households with multiple users or for those moments when fumbling with a phone is inconvenient, often justifies the cost. If you're looking for a simple, elegant, and effective way to control your Philips Hue lights with a physical interface, the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch (White) remains a top recommendation.

This device works perfectly. I can push buttons all day. Oh and it also controls my Hue light system. As a plus, it is also compatible with Homekit. It's easy to set up and works great.
This device is the updated model. It uses a common replacement battery type. (The older device used a less common battery.)

Everyone Can Operate Hue Lights, Not Just the App

Exceptional add to the Hue system. Others in the house don't need the need app to access the functions. Set up whatever lights you would like, or room, and control from the wall, or carry the remote with you. It allows on/off, dimmer, and change between scenes. I have found it immensely useful, and have one in every room of the house to control the hue lights in that room.

Works great. Fully programmable buttons. Works perfectly with HomeKit. I just wish it had a better magnet. It mounts to the wall using a magnet, but it’s very weak and the controller falls off sometimes when you push the buttons. I have 3 of these switches. One older version and two of this version. The older one stays put and has a strong magnet. The two new ones both have weak magnets and don’t stay put.

Dimmer switch works great if you don't feel like yelling at your Alexa to turn off the lights. Very easy set up. No need to drill any holes just peel and stick to the wall. The fact that this can be used like a remote or a regular wall switch is cool. There was only one in the store and I bought it for a specific room. Now I will definitely be buying more when they're available.

It took 2 seconds to install (3mm sticky pads included in box) and sync to the Hue app. Works with our lights that are on a motion sensor. Love that the remote for the lights can either stay docked to the wall or carried around the room.

Setup is fairly straightforward (as long as you already know how the Hue app works with scenes). I have this, plus some of the older designs, in 4 different rooms, and it is convenient for 1) toggling the lights on and off, 2) dimming, and 3) cycling between different preset scenes. Another valuable benefit over just using the bulbs is that guests who don't have the app can easily figure out how to use the lights without having to use Alexa or Google Assistant, and have to guess what the room and/or zone names are. I usually don't remove the switch from the base, but it is also nice to have that option, and the magnets are strong enough that I never have to worry about the controls falling out unexpectedly. Also, compared to other Hue products, the price is a bit more reasonable.

Synced up with zero issues to our hub in the basement. Switched to Philips Hue lights after running into constant issues with the cheaper Sengled lights. It would be nice to have maybe 1 other button to program so you could have it control different groups of lights, but other than that, it works perfectly for us.
