[Employee of bestbuy] Big fan. I want to buy ten more. It's very bright, and easy to please the eyes. Point it at the wall in a dark side of your place. It will bring it back to life. It's not small as it looks. The iPad it's next to is 11 inches.

I've a number of Hue devices, so it's nice having this as part of the ecosystem. It's handsome-looking with a clean modern aesthetic. Not the cheapest lamp, and it's not as if it accomplishes much more than a Hue bulb insider your own lamp. It just looks quite a bit nicer, so it's better suited for semi-prominent accent spot.

whats not to like?? Except the price is pretty my review for 95% of the philips hue lighting system…. Will I buy it? Yes, is it overpriced? yes ….. will I stop buying it …. probably not. It’s expensive for a reason, but the price is just a bit too high for what you get…. But there’s nothing that I have tried that comes close to the quality and the continual updates and the smoothness of the system all working together.

Nice for when you have a dark corner. I would consider this a uplight not a table light. Also. It needs a hub.

I have Philips Hue throughout my house. I couldn’t be happier. I purchased light bulbs, lamps and recessed lighting. They’re the best!

The Philips Hue Iris series of lights is a half accent lighting, half art piece. The actual lumience is adequate and diffuses nicely, and, can add to an appropriately styled home (alt., it is an overpriced lightpiece that a Philips Hue Go or Playbar would do the trick nicely). However, its greatest flaw is the piece is all plastic, which means it is easily scratched and dirtied; plastic as it scratches then has a harder time allowing light through as it refracts and dims. At the price charged for the product, glass would notably make it feel more premium, lasting, and more comfortably a showpiece in a home. That aside, repairability is also important to keep in mind; the cabling is directly tied to the unit and cannot be replaced in the advent of a short in the wiring.
