I was expecting to return this because I didn't think it would fit. It's meant for 55" TVs. However I saw some other folks online that managed to get it to work. Philips says in their instructions that you should place the mounts 2-3 inches from the sides of the TV, however doing so on the 48" OLED would cause the light strips to stick past the bottom of the TV a few inches. The included mounting solution seems to be working well so far. Initially I bought 3 Hue Play Bars to work with the Hue HDMI Sync box. I didn't care for the mounting solution they provided and really needed to get 3 more to get the visual affect I wanted for the distance my TV is from the wall. This lighstrip accomplishes the same without leaving any gaps and since it doesn't stick as far out from the TV does a better job getting the light on the wall behind it. My picture below might suggest it sticks out past the side of the tv, but it doesn't. While you can see the light strip if you step a few feet to the left or right of the side of the TV, this doesn't bother me as I'm not viewing it from these angles. The design of the back of this OLED does provide a bit of a problem with the bump out on the sides in the middle. However with careful placement I'm confident the lightstrip isn't going to move. It might be helpful to order a couple more mounting brackets used for the side or top to go on those bump outs. I tried double sided sticky tape but it had trouble adhering to the rubberized surface of the back of the lightstrip. For me, the backlighting reduces some eyestrain watching in a dark room. Though hyperspace extending past the edge of my tv is pretty cool. App control is easy, thought I did add control for the Hue HDMI Sync box to my Harmony remote and added easy buttons to the touch screen for adjusting the brightness and intensity so I don't have to grab my phone to turn it on.

Expensive, short, but still fantastic. Easy to mount and setup but you need the Hue Sync Box to get the most out of it with your TV. I really wish they found a way to cover the bottom of the TV. Could have been a little longer too.

Awesome lights if your into home theater entertainment you can't go wrong with HUE lights but you will need a sync box for it to work but definitely worth the money. Only downside in no lights at the bottom but you can always buy a different HUE lights to fix that.

This will make your viewing experience POP you will need to also purchase the bridge and the sync box for the full experience. Background color changes with the screen in real time.

Stunning and beautiful. You can create your own themes when playing your favorite game (when on a budget) or buy the hdmi switch. It is 100% worth it. This product can even alleviate depression imo.

We originally Had only two lights on each side of our television. My husband saw this new light that goes around the TV and we did not hesitate to purchase. It makes watching movies TV video games listening to music a completely different Experience. I am more than happy that we have purchased this, it makes movie night so awesome!

I bought it for my 43-inch monitor and it works just fine. I can download the synchro software and use light and sound syncing to play games and watch videos without feeling any lag.

I love these lights. I have them all over my house and will be getting more!!

I installed this on my Samsung 49" Odyssey Gaming Monitor Awesome, unreal! I do also have 6 other Hue lights in the area and use Hue sync software on the PC to run it all.

Amazing lighting for any TV set up, hdmi sync box is a plus if you can afford it but overall happy with this purchase. Second one I’ve purchased

I think this is a great improvement for what hue is trying to accomplish. I really enjoyed what these lights can do to an entertainment area. however it’s not made with all TVs in mind. Most consumers won’t have an issue installing this product. certain TVs can make installing the gradient strip a bit challenging and In some cases it’s unfortunately impossible. The challenge was due to the dramatic change in size of one of my TVs going from being less than 0.5mm thick to 4.5cm thick. I’m not gonna bother on my TVs that are literally up against the wall

DON’T TRUST BEST BUY, ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE! I got shipped the wrong light, i ordered the 55” lightstrip for my 55” tv and they sent me a 65” (which at first doesn’t sound too bad till you realize the lights won’t sync correctly because the sizing is off! Then all the accessory double sided sticky tape mounts were used and stuck to the box and came off with cardboard making them useless. And to top that the connection is very delicate and turn off/on if the lights move even a little. PLEASE ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE, DON’T TRUST BEST BUY WITH YOUR MONEY AND DON’T EXPECT REAL HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Works beautifully but doesn’t work with fire tv. Theyll work for a light but they won’t change colors like they’re supposed to.
