For full disclosure, I will be receiving a $5 rewards credit for writing this review. I'm not too keen on that sort of thing. This light strip is much higher quality than the previous light strips I have bought from other manufacturers. It works seamlessly with the Hue app. I ended up buying two of these light strips, one for my 47" computer monitor (a repurposed TV) and the other for my current 47" television. I'm very happy that I bought these light strips, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a seamless experience.

These are some decent strip lights. I wanted to try these because it didn’t require me to have an account to use and I wanted to see if Philip branded lights and environment would be something we would consider in the future as we continue to upgrade our home and add smart devices throughout. It was a simple add to Bluetooth once we downloaded the app and I didn’t have to sign up and create an account. However, I still had to add my name and email to move forward. The lights will work without the app but it is limited to one color out of the box. The app is very basic, I’m assuming it offers tons more under an account. With the app you can do basic things like adjust the colors and choose scenes. Thats about it. You also have to have an account to use the Google or Alexa assistant features, so that was a downside. Overall it’s ok, but I know there are better out there in offerings straight out the box with more intuitive apps for a lot less. I would stick to other options for more bang for your buck.

I’ve gotten hooked on the Philips Hue line. Using the Hub as well as a 3rd party app makes it the very best smart light system out there. It’s an example of getting what you pay for… The Hub allows for wireless connection without weighing down your wi-fi signal. This newer “Solo” Lightstrip line finally allowed me to try one due to the lower cost. These are so cool and such high quality, I am very happy with what it added to my room. I’ve already ordered a second one. Installation was a breeze.

We love Philips Hue light strips in our house! They are the main source of lighting in our living room and library. The customizability of color really does make our home feel more cozy. The self adhesive on the back of lights makes easy to place. This was out third set to have purchased and our original set which we bought ~6 years ago is still going strong!

Hue is the standard for all this automated lighting. The only knock on the light strips is the backing eventually doesn't stick and the light strip falls down. I eventually have to get some double sided tape that will hold to fix them. I have over 30+ Hue products inside and outside my home. Hue is pricey but I think the colors of the lights are better than others.

This light strip is amazing. Our last strip burned out, so i was thrilled to see this one was on sale. It’s quite bright and very simple to set up. Pairs well with other smart home products.

[Employee of bestbuy] In relation to other hue products, this is fairly priced. I am disappointed in the fact that this product does not have individually addressable lights, but it got very bright just like all other hue light strips. I also liked the longer length.

Really easy to use and amazing color combinations . It’s like a regular light, color light and change our room view.

Very nice for any office or game room setup. Easy to control from your phone with the app, and change the themes to what you're feeling. Can also add another section of light to the end to increase for longer distance if you want. Just make sure you have a smooth surface for the adhesive.

Very bright, easy to cut and make exact lengths for my installation. Hue is always the way to go for durability and reliability.

The Hue Solo Lightstrip is incredibly bright, much more than I predicted. It was incredibly easy to set up given that I was already using a Philips bridge. It was also easy to integrate into my smart home controls. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for, the lights function better than any other brand I have tested.

I have lots of Hue lights and love the way they work with the app and integrate with Alexa and Apple HomeKit. BUT, I bought this strip to back light a computer display and after I cut it to the size I needed, ended up with more than half of it as extra lightstrip that is completely unusable in another space. Hue needs to manufacture smaller strips specifically for whatever size you need, OR, provide you with a second power supply unit that lets you plug in the extra lightstrip somewhere else. I'm happy with how the product works, but, I feel like a lot of the product ended up wasted so I have to tick down my rating because of that.

Flexible, bright, long lasting! I've used these for years. They always make a perfect addition to anything I may want to jazz up! I'm so excited for the new line coming in spring 2026!

I have a few Philips Hue products, including the bridge. I love the brightness and adjustable colors. The strip light is under the bed which powers on with the Philips Hue motion sensor to navigate throughout the room during night time hours without turning on the room light. The power adapter and cost are the only cons. The power adapter is a bit bulky. Not a major deal but it’s worth noting.
