Was a little concerned about brightness, but works fantastic.

I wish they were less expensive and buy them when they are on sale. However, as a homeowner with six Amazon Alexa's installed in my house, these lights are a must. I use routines when I am not home and voice control when I am home. These offer great light and functionality.

Okay to be fair I am a HUE fan. You get what you pay for. With all the apps, range of products, as well as quality of products, the buyer has a better experience with their accent lighting. Stick with one eco system and accept the costs.

The biggest problem is that some of the colors are as true to what you are looking for... There is a big difference between the 2nd and 3rd generation. For example, if you ask for the lights to turn Blue, the 2nd generation flood lights give you more like a purple.

I have a number of Hue products currently and have not experienced any problems on any of those. These bulbs were detected by the Hues hub, but not immediately. Once they were recognized I attempted the setup on the bulbs, but each one had the same result, giving me a message back that they were undiscoverable. I tried numerous times over a couple of days but no luck. One of the trouble shooting points was to have another hues bulb in between the hub and the new bulbs to get a better connection since the hues network sets up its own connections separate from your Wi-Fi network. In this setup I could not put additional bulbs in between. The bulbs were returned.

I have 8 of the first generation in my finished basement. I decided that I wanted to increase the light so I added more recessed lights and bought 11 of the 2nd generation bulbs and was disappointed that when I tried the new bulbs they would not produce the same color as the old ones. I tried many different colors and found the same result. If you are planning to add to existing lights make sure you get the same generation because they are deffinately different lights. Sad.

They worked fine when I set them up but my purpose was to use them outside and I didn't feel comfortable doing that.

I have a couple and they're amazing! Best ambiance lights and they work better if you have a Google Home or Alexa.

It works with alexa so now my mother is able to turn the light on and off without calling me. It's wonderful!

These lights are awesome. Being able to turn these off with the phone or echo/google home is so convenient.
