I purchased a less expensive Norelco and thought it was pretty good, which it was. When this one came on the Daily Deal at nearly the same price as my lower model one, I had to buy it. I let my beard get about 2 days growth on it and then tested each side to see which model gave the best shave. The lower model did good. A clean shave. Better than other brands. But the 5300 exceled at the shave. It was very sharp and just floated over my skin. Plus the heads were about 1/4 bigger than the other Norelco which means it covered more face with the same strokes and thus, a faster shave. Both shavers are rechargeable. The 5300 looks a little weird with the heads exposed and all. Yet when you fire this thing up, it will not disappoint. It also says you can use this as a wet shaver, but I have no experience in that way. It also says you can clean it under the faucet, but I've not done that. I just pop the top and tap it upside down and it gets most of the shavings out. I'm really glad I got this mid-level model. It's quite excellent and it seems to go a very long time on one charge. But if it truly shaves fast, then you won't need to have it on for very long!

Great inexpensive shaver for men. Works well in the shower or dry and I like the added trimmer. Battery life lasts for months. The plastic cover for the blades broke and was pretty useless from the start.

I purchased this razor to replace an older item that wasn’t cutting as well as it used to. I was tired of going over the same area several times to get the clean smooth face I desired. I’ve been using my new razor for a couple of weeks now and I am satisfied with the results. I don’t need to press as hard to get a smooth shave and it takes less time with less skin burn. My only complaint is that it cannot get as close to my whiskers close to my nose. The rotary heads are set back just a bit too far to reach them so I still need my old razor to reach those. Otherwise it is much quieter than my old one and my neck and face are not as irritated. It is quicker and more comfortable than my previous razor.

Let me say I'm not the typical just for this type of item. I'm a 40 year old woman, I'm not super hairy, but I'm used to waxing my upper lip about once a month. I saw this shaver on sale and i had to rewards to cash in, so i picked it up for $15. It turns out it was a great purchase. I can run it over my upper lip in a few seconds, and those pesky middle-aged chin whiskers are gone in seconds! No trying to grab them with tweezers! It doesn't irritate my skin at all, leaves me smooth, and the trimmer attachment has been used in a pinch to shave my leg when i was about to get tattooed but couldn't find my t razor. Definitely a great buy!

It’s pretty good for the price. I found it easy to clean and maintain but I did find the edge trimmer to be a bit dull. Other than that it offers a quick and clean shave.

Surprisingly smooth, comfortable shave. The shaver is battery-operated with three flexible heads, so it is very easy to use. The reasonable price makes the shaver an excellent value. By the way, it is also easy to clean after a shave.

I have used Norelco shavers since I was a teenager. This shaver is my favorite of them all because it is powerful, gives a close shave (even in the hard to reach areas), is easy to disassemble and clean, and the battery is dependable.

Great razor for the buck! Gives a close shave and is lightweight and simple to use. Comes with a trimmer attachment also. Bought on sale, definitely comparable to razors twice the price! Another great buy from Best Buy!

It's a decent shaver. It's not very powerful but gets the job done. If you buy it on sale, it's definitely a good value. I don't think that it's worth the full price.

This 5300 series has been a good value so far for the price I paid. It provides a better shave than my last Norelco, which was similar to the 1000 series, although I'm not sure whether that's at least partly due to the worn blades on my older model. Unlike my previous Norelco models, this one doesn't have a built-in trimmer, making it less convenient for travel, since it requires carrying a separate attachment. Also unlike some previous Norelco models I've owned there is no storage bag or case to carry the shaver, trimmer and charger. I would rate it 4.5 overall if that was a choice.

Excellent electric razor. Dry shaving leaves a very smooth face. Easy to clean, just press the button to release the blade face, it hinges open, rinse and allow to dry. Great value!

Trimmer attachment actually trims longer hair (missed from previous shave)! Motor is quiet enough to shave head without having to use earplugs. Quick-charge does work and gives enough charge for full-head shave if hair growth is under 3-4 days. Can get baby-smooth shave but only with full overnight charge. Shaves better with hair that's dry than wet/damp hair -- the wet feature seems to be more for rinsing/cleaning the blades. Still working well after nearly a year's 2-3x per week use!

Purchased for someone. Cuts/trims well, good battery life, lightweight and portable if needed for travel.

I like how light this shaver is. It is also easy to maneuver. Shaves pretty close and the charge lasts for a while

My husband likes this Norelco electric shaver because the heads conform to his face as he shaves leaving him with a close shave.

Work's good on my face , this is a basic electric shaver pluses: No irritation or chaffing You can use it in the shower Charge last a long time Charges quickly Its quiet It does a pretty good job The Price Minuses: The only minus is you must move slowly to get a good shave, the motors spin slower than a higher end shaver.It doesnt bog down or stall ,just need to go slowly for it to do a good job. If you find it on sale its great ,full retail price there might be better

Haven't used it much,but the few times I have, it's excellent. Close shave and easy to rinse clean. Well balanced and holds a charge well. Nice !

I purchased this on a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal because I could not find a replacement head for the Panasonic foil shaver I have been using with great results for the past four years. I have to say I like the shave i get with this Norelco even better. I get a smoother shave on my neck than I could get using a Gillette 5-blade razor. It is super light weight, shaves for at least 2 weeks on a single charge (maybe longer, that's the longest I've tried) and cleaning it is as simple as popping open the head and running it under the faucet.
