Not even close to the smoothness of a razor shave but it's not bad for an electric. I have a ridiculously thick beard. I'm sure if you have thin beard hair this razor will work even better.

I was skeptical, but the first shave turned me into a fan. This shaver holds a charge for two weeks of shaving (daily) and delivers a close, quick shave. Excellent shaver.

I think this is a great shaver! Caveats: I do not shave that often, so when I do, I have to use the trimmer to cut my facial hair short enough for the shaver to work. After 3-4 days my hair is long enough that if I try the shaver alone, it will not work. I am perfectly OK with using the trimmer first. Come to think of it, I would like a trimmer that cut hair shorter than the current one does, but perhaps you start running into pinching or knicks. That notwithstanding, it does a fantastic job in shaver or trimmer mode. It is also very nice to have the cleaning function on the base unit.

So far this is the best Norelco Shaver I have ever used. I have been satisfied with this product as my skin is less iritated and I like the simple cleaning system.

I thought that I was buying a shaver that would give about as good as a shave as my razor. I decided to test my $50.00 Norelco against this new expensive version. I really couldn't tell the difference between the two shavers after shaving one side with the old cheap version and the other with the new version. I would really that i didn't get the value i expected for the money.

I wish it had a battery indicator on the razor. It lasts a long time but I am always worried it is going to run out on a long trip.

Haven't had a electric razer for 30 years. This razor is super. Really surprised with the smooth shave and the self cleaning feature.

I want to look nice and clean and this shaver did the job really good the blades get clean each time I use it just by placing back into the charger that's a great feature

I had used a razor for a long time, I wish I had an electrical one, and got this on Black Friday. Very nice. The sound of turning blazes looks like it does not have enough power, but it shaves well. So far I am satisfied. Maybe the charging and cleaning base is not necessary, and one can go with another model without the base.

I had already replaced the blades on my older Norelco years ago and decided to get a newer model instead of replacing blades again. This model does a good job, comes with a cleaning/charging station (larger than expected), and a sturdy travel case. It is an excellent value when on sale, so keep watching the ads.

I purchased this because I kept getting razor burn with manual razors and other electrical shavers. The shave isn’t as close with this shaver, but at least I no longer get the painful and annoying razor bumps I used to get. Love the self cleaning/lubricating charging station.
