In general I love anything Philips Norelco makes, I've owned many and this just adds to the list. They last, work well and do all that I need them to do. Packaging: To start, packaging is straightforward, the razor itself, attachments, bag and charger. Limited documentation/care information. Use: It's an electric clipper, it does the job it's designed to do, I just feel like for the aim being to use on the body it should have a wider head if it's expected to do the job efficiently. I have a previous model that didn't have the same naming but is still a phillips norelco and came with multiple detachable combs that were designed for different areas of the body and it had a wider head which I found easier to use so really to me this is the only place it falls short. Outside of that it does the job well, easy to use and clean. Overall: It's an electric clipper focused on the body, it gets the job done but has some minor shortcomings. All in all if you're in the market for such a set of clippers it's a worthwhile consideration.

I have been able to use the Philips Body Groomer for a while now and have been able to use it a few times and have been very pleased with it. In the box you get quite a bit of pieces. You get two main types of trimmer heads. First one being a regular clipper type head with comb guards. A sensitive area guard and an adjustable length comb guard. This allows for versatility when trimming different areas and different lengths. The other trimmer head is a the one you will use for smooth shaving it has a beard shaver foil like trimmer with a clipper like sides to help trim down longer hairs. Even though it does have the side clippers. I would recommend trimming the hair down first if it is really long. The side clippers on the shaver head is not that great at trimming longer hairs. So brothers if you got a forest down there you gonna have to knock down the forest before getting rid of it. Once it’s knocked down it works really well. I used it on my whole body. Stomach, back and sensitive areas. Didn’t have any issues. You do need to be careful but for the most part no issues with getting caught in the blades. I don’t have too much back hair if any, the extension arm does help get to those areas. It does really make it easier to be able to do the dead yourself. Few things I don’t like is that it uses a USB power block that is not included in the box. So you will have to have one or order one yourself in order to even use it. It also didn’t come charged I had to charge for about 5 minutes. But once it was that thing did a solid 20-30 minutes on that charge. So just a few things but overall a very solid unit.

I like to keep my body hair nice and trimmed, but shaving can be awkward. I liked that this body groomer set had an extension handle for reaching hard to reach spots (like your middle back). That being said, they made some odd choices with the design. The default head with the foil guard is seemingly the only one you can use with the extension tool. There are little clipper teeth along its edges, but I would have preferred to use the actual clipper head for the initial pass and then the foil head to cleanup afterward. Sadly, this isn't an option as the clipper head faces the wrong direction when placed in the extension tool. The foil head does pull at your hairs some and isn't the most comfortable tool to shave with. Attaching guards to the clipper head is fairly easy, but removing them is actually quite difficult. At one point, I worried that I'd broken a guard trying to pry it free from the clipper head. Fortunately I hadn't, but it certainly felt like I had given the amount of force it took and the loud "crack" that accompanied the removal. The guards don't offer a very wide range of options for hair length. They work fine for my needs, but they might not for yours. I thought it was strange that they opted for a USB charging base in conjunction with a proprietary charging port on the device itself. Why not just go USB all the way? Despite these various design issues, the groomer does its job and does it fairly well. I'd recommend routinely keeping your hair fairly short as it does seem to struggle some with longer hair.

I mean the name describes what it can do and it can do what it says it can quite well. The body shaver head has an edge that cuts longer hair and then the center is the kind of head that can make it look like you don’t have hair after a few times over. That is the real key if you haven’t shaved your chest or whatnot in awhile is that a few times over at a slow pace to let the shaver do the work makes things to a lot more smoothly, when you go quickly it can pull your hair, though this one didn’t have that issue as much as other ones that I’ve used and it was really me doing it wrong that I could make it pull my hair at all. There were three different heads, I’ve been happy with the shaver one and the 0 and 1 shaver head might be useful if I decide I can give myself a haircut in the future, but that isn’t my thing right now. The battery lasts through several shaves, and I love the little stand that comes with it that makes it easy to just set it on for it to charge. It also comes with a bag that everything fits in if you're storing it in a drawer or taking it with you.

This is the second body groomer from the same manufacturer that I have had. The first one is still functioning well but my wife wanted to get a new one. I find the design and function has improved in this newer model. The instructions say to use this unit only below the neck, so that greatly reduces my usage of this groomer. Fortunately, my wife is not so restricted so we proceeded to use her as the test dummy (not). The foil screen attachment was both smooth (and comfortable) and quite effective when used to shave the legs. Even the most stubborn hairs gave up and yeilded to this great body groomer. The same attachment was also just as effective and comfortable when used on the underarms. A switch to one of the guided trimmer attachments made grooming the pubic area a breeze. A switch back to the foil screen attachment allowed the finishing of the pubic grooming by trimming along the underwear lines. We did not get to use all of the attachments but found them all to fit snuggly onto the groomer. This groomer is an improvement over prior models and is a very good body groomer.

I actually have multiple trimmers that I use for dealing with body hair in different places. Each one seems to be optimized for one thing that makes it less suitable for the others. For example, a beard trimmer isn't really optimized to give you a clean line around your ears. Phillips attempted to make a more multi-purpose razor here, and if you're only going to get one trimmer, this one does more than most. By swapping the entire head instead of just using different guards on the same trimmer, this one does a better job than most at being dual-purpose. I did find that the guards on the trimmer were a little pointy and scraped my skin more than my previous trimmer. An interesting design feature is that the heads fit on the body of the razor in opposite directions so you can hold the razor and the trimmer in more ergonomic positions. And while both heads have LED lights on them, it was really only useful on the razor. With the trimmer, I was moving too fast in too much light for it to add any value. But with the razor, I was moving more slowly in less well-lighted places. i also found that areas that would get nicked by others razors escaped unscathed with this one. I did catch some skin in one place but did not draw any blood, as I would have with my old razor. Overall, this is very useful but not perfect.

I have been through a couple of different trimmers and groomers. Most have left something to be desired for one reason or another. I have not found that yet with this one. I actually find that it may replace some other tools I have in my bathroom. You get it thinking it may be good for the most advertised part of the name, and it does a fantastic and gentle job in that area. As we all may know, some areas may be sensitive. This leaves me feeling smooth and clean shave or trimmed, without burns, knicks or rashes that can be found with some grooming options. I think it is worth the price just for this alone. That being said, the many other functions this offers, adds to its value and usefulness in my self grooming and hygiene regime. I have used it and like its performance as a hair trimmer. I have a regular set of clippers that I use to keep my hair trimmed short, but this thing is lighter, quieter, cuts clean and does a great hair trim job. It may replace my clippers entirely, The other use I found is that it replaces the trimming option had been using to tame my hairy back. I had been using on of those back blades, which is awkward, bulky and scrapey. Is that a word? The back blade didn't do a great gob, left my with scrapes or scratches and red marks. Put this unit in the handle they provide and its just like butter. Gives a clean and scrape and scratch free shave. I had been not doing as much back grooming due to the poor results I had been getting. My grooming game is now regular, easy and pain free with this. I highly recommend trying it.

If you're anything like me and you're actually reading a review on a trimmer with the word "balls" in it...then you don't care how this thing trimmed my chest hair (because I don't have any), and you don't care how it neatened up my sideburns...because it didn't. You want to know if this thing can polish the family jewels without incurring any nicks or scratches. You want to know if you can shave your sack in the shower. You want to know if this thing has the velvet touch for your valuables. Well, I've got some good news for you....IT CAN DO ALL OF THE ABOVE AND MORE!!! As someone who never sprung for a grooming tool that was actually designed to protect my ball sack I know the pain of a millimeter too close. But with this thing I was able to smoothly coast over all the nooks and crannies and bumps and valleys, and I did it all in the shower. This thing is waterproof and comes with 4 different attachments for various types of fur on your body. But if you're considering getting this because you want to keep you intimate areas neatly trimmed...or bald, then I would definitely recommend.

I purchased this to replace my aging rechargeable trimmer who's battery is not staying charged long. I got this because of the several types of trimmers. There are 2 comb heads that have an adjustable length and one fixed head. As well as a foil head with precision trimmer edge. The weight and feel of this is good, light weight, satin softer finish to the plastic. It is reasonably quiet, maybe a bit louder than my standard foil shaver, but not by much. The instructions on this were a bit sparse, there is an app you can download which has support on there, but not much selse. There is a facial hair app on there that you can use your camera to see what different shave could look like on your face. The head interchanges easily enough, and their is a light on each head (trimmer and foil). This unit comes with and extension handle for those who want to shave their back and other hard to reach places. It tested it to see how it held the unit and it does good, but I probably won't use thus. I did not know it was included. As for the trim. The foil works well, I mainly used it to get the edges of beard/hairline and it did well, smooth shave up to, crisp line at edge. This head would be good for shaving legs if you did it frequently. It is wet/dry, so use in the shower is ok. The trimmer does work well for touching up my hair edges evenly. The feel and grip on this was good. This has a five year warranty, which is nice, and I hope it lasts as long as my last one (going on 10 years I believe). I have no deductions. Five stars. I do reccomend this.
