It's a Norelco, that means great.

This is another great offering by Norelco. I have been using Norelco shavers for years and have always found them to provide the best shave. I have tried other brands that I have received as gifts over the years and always came back to my Norelco shaver. The main reason is comfort. I have never had irritated skin after a shave like some foil shavers and I have never felt as if I had to really bear down to get a good shave. This 3210 is no different. When I first picked it up I was impressed with how solid it feels. I have used Norelco’s top of the line 9000 series for quite some time now while it is considerably lighter than this 3210, it provides the same shave quality. This shaver uses what Norelco calls ComfortCut blades which cuts just above skin level which cuts down on skin irritation. After the first shave, I can tell you that it left a very clean shave and felt just as smooth as any other type of shaver. The pop up trimmer cuts a clean straight line for your sideburns or mustache. It has a 60 minute run time. For me, it takes me about 5 minutes start to finish, so I would expect to get about 12 shaves between charges. I usually leave this plugged in between shaves. You can not use the shave while plugged in. This will have a permanent place as my traveling and vacation shaver only because as I said I already have a 9000 series, if I didn’t, this would be number 1. At this price point you get a top of the line shave for a fraction of what other high end shavers cost.

i have owned many electric shavers over the years. Most have been Phillps due to price, features, and reliability. However, this one is the crown jewel in my daily routine. First some like and dislikes LIkes light quick charging long lasting charge gives decently smooth shave (with proper prep work) easy to clean and finally feels good in the hand. Dislkes too light. I know it should be a good thing, but if something is too light it gives a cheap feel does not rev as high as others, so it takes a few more passes to get the job done pop-up trimmer is in my opinion kinda awkwardly placed. It does take some getting use to with the angle it is at. So to end this review, I will be using this as a daily driver (meaning I will be shaving in the car) and using on vacations when packing quick and light is needed. I do like the unit and am happy I got it

I’ve been using Norelco shavers for years, and in my opinion, this is currently the best buy in their line. You can spend hundreds more, but at $55 it has everything I need and want. It’s rechargeable. It works wet or dry. It has a beard/mustache trimmer. It has the comfortable floating triple heads that made Norelco famous. It has a quality build that you expect with the name Norelco. Most importantly, it gives a great shave. My ten-year-old Norelco just refuses to die, but I purchased a low-cost, corded version as a second shaver for travel. However, I found the cord and lack of trimmer a deal-breaker. Seeing the low price for this unit, I decided to give it a try. With a price less than my old shaver, I expected this to be a cheapened version which I’d take back if too many corners had been cut. Imagine my surprise. It seems identical in function, quality, and use. I found it to be an incredible value. You can’t miss with this one … a super price for a first-class shaver

Good Shaver for 1st time buyers

The previous shaver I’ve used dates back several years, but also made by Philips. So trying this will be trivial and completely subjective. I’ve little experience in reviewing products like this so please bear that in mind. The shaver itself has a fairly flexible head, which helps in adjusting to the shape of your face. Comparatively, my previous shaver shaves very close. If I am not careful enough, the old shaver will cut just a bit of my skin off. Over the years I’ve used it, I’ve managed to deal with that. And perhaps subconsciously, I’ve been avoiding having to use it unless I personally choose to do so. This one doesn’t shave that close but close enough that it doesn’t cut into your skin. That’s a big difference to me. After using it twice thus far, I am quite satisfied with the result. Being able to shave regardless of wet or dry, in the shower or not, is a good bonus to me. Cleaning and washing after use is easy because of this as well. Sadly there’s no tiny brush included to help in cleaning (while it’s dry of course). But that is a minor detail. The shaving head is overall a bit too big for my preference but it did not hinder shaving overall. The included trimmer built into the shaver is a hit or miss for me. I believe the issue is how the trimmer doesn’t firmly stay up, as it flips open/up via spring-action and doesn’t have anything to lock in place. It’s a bit of a shame for that because such a simple thing could save us the need of owning a dedicated trimmer. Charging is done using the included charging cable and plugging it in. It’s too bad there’s no charging stand but that is reserved for one other model. So you’re stuck letting the shaver sit on the side or whatever as it charges. There is a battery and charging indicator light that helps in determining how much power is left. Overall I believe this is a good shaver to pick up. It works well for my face and I haven’t had any skin irritation or anything, an improvement over my previous shaver. While I’d like to use it some more to find any quirks or whatever with it, facial hair doesn’t exactly grow fast. So for now, this is the most I can say about it. Verdict: Good enough to buy. Recommended purchase if purchasing a shaver for the first time.

The shaver is nicely built, has good ergonomics. Charged quickly, and has LED lights showing charging status. When running, it is quiet. The pop-up trimmer does it's job well. One of the really nice features is it can be used wet or dry - even in the shower. The cutter heads can easily be replaced. I found this shaved fairly well, but for me, a razor was just a little closer. But for those that regularly use a shaver, this would be an excellent choice.

Overall, the razor works great, but just like any other electric razor I have ever owned, it made my neck break out. The cut was smooth on my face, and I'm happy with the way the small pop up trimmer worked as well. The only reason for the four star, is because of the fact that it still made my neck turn red and blonchy. The charge lasts quite a long time, multiple times shaving without having to charge it. The razor did not take very long to get to full charge.

I've always liked Norelco and this shaver/Trimmer was no exception. Plenty of power and a clean shave, trimmer was sized and positioned well for beard work. Grip was good, even with damp hands, the razer felt secure and fit well in my hand.

This is a great, easy to use shaver. Love the storage pouche which makes it convenient for traveling. Another great convenience is that you'll never be surprised to have dead battery. The bars show you where battery levels are and if that's missed, the orange light flashes with a 5 minute warning then must be recharged. One thing about this, is it doesn't need much pressure like others so please be careful, it just takes a light touch to get a good, close shave on the 1st try. Another plus is that it can be used with just water and no shaving cream, a plus for sensitive skin. The pop up trimmer works well for getting to side burns. Can be used safely in the shower, which is convenient sometimes. Overall, easy instructions and assembly, easy to use, light touch is good for sensitive skin, would and have recommended.

This is the shaver that I keep with me at work for touching up. I love the trimmer and use that a lot as well. Seems sturdier then previous ones I’ve used. Being able to use both wet or dry is also a nice feature but something i can’t review as I keep mine at work as I said. Battery life has been very much a positive surprise as well as it seems to last forever for me. My facial hair is not conducive for using any shaver so I still use this as a touch up or back up. Does it give me a great shave? Yes I just choose to use it as a backup or work shaver which is great. Nice product, solid shaver.

      Hi,

Thank for reaching out to us and sharing your experience. We would like to take a close look at this. You should be able to use your shaver at home or on-the-go for up to 60 minutes on a 1-hour charge - that’s about 20 shaves. Or a 5-minute quick charge should give enough power for one shave. Make sure that the shaver is always maintained well and is clean, as that provides for optimal use.

If you have any questions, or require assistance, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further.

I admit that I've tried electric shavers throughout my adult life, but never found one that I stuck with. I couldn't get the close shave that a traditional razor provides. I wish I could say this razor was different, but it doesn't shave as close as a traditional razor. HOWEVER, I get a reasonable shave with a quiet razor, which is nice. I've taken to using is while at home in that mornings because of that, and because my shave is quicker. I like this razor, just be aware of my "close shave" comments if you're like me.

Great Everyday Shaver, Improves on Older Designs

The Philips Norelco Shaver of this design has been around for ages, and I can see why. I have owned several of these over the years and keep coming back to it because of its shave quality and reliability. This new design features better gripping surfaces, which improves the performance if you are using it with wet hands or in a wet area, like the shower. In addition, the 3-bar charging indicator is a really nice add--on previous versions, you would get a blinking single light when the charge was low, and more than once I would run out of juice in the middle of a shave. No longer will that happen. I just charge it when it gets down to one bar. One of my favorite features of the shaver is the side trimmer. This trimmer provides very crisp sideburn trimming and also trimming of the hair around my ears. It also works well for trimming of light nose hair. As with any new shaver, I get some irritation with the first few shaves. this is stated in the manual, and mine goes away after just a few shaves. I love the ability of this shaver to provide a close shave, even in harder to reach areas.

If you're looking for a good wet/dry electric razor for a quick shave, then you won't be disappointed with this unit. The razor is covered in a textured grip that feels pleasing under your fingers while still staying easy to grip in the shower. It's also designed well enough to grip it from multiple angles and not feel like you're fumbling around. The top flips open for convenient cleaning and changing of the blades and the flex head works well to get around all surfaces without snagging or tearing. The one flaw is the same one I find in almost all electric razors and that is they just don't cut as close as a manual razor. I would definitely use this for daily use, but for that important business meeting, you'll likely want to keep a tried and true manual on hand.

    Excellent Electric Razor

The Philips Norelco Caretouch Electric Razor is thankfully similar in usage to every Norelco Razor I've had since middle school when I first started shaving in the 1980s. What's new since then is the product (at least new) looks and feels like a professional tool, this is the nicest looking razor I have personally owned. Even minute details like the 'fade-in/out' of the charging lights which make it feel like a product they designed well (it charged quick). Worth noting, it says on the back of the razor itself not to use it while plugged in (disadvantage is if it's not charged you must wait to use it). I used it to do an evening shave (after a morning non-electric shave) and when I emptied the hair compartment after cutting, there was a good amount of freshly cut hair, and my skin felt smoother. Because it's "wet & dry" that means I can use it in the shower which is great since it cuts better while wet. An advantage of an electric razor like this is it's less likely to cut your skin (no blood!). I find the pop-up trimmer on these tends to be good for, for example, trimming sideburns. It's a great razor and I recommend it.

The Philips Norelco CareTouch with ComfortCut Blades is a simple to use electric shaver with a pop-up trimmer. The device feels solid without feeling heavy. The single-button on/off leaves no room for confusion on how to start and stop the shaving experience. After using it for a week I’ve come to the conclusion that cutting “just above skin level” might very well leave your skin smooth and not irritated, like the box claims, but it also means that by 3:00 PM I’m reaching for the device to shave a second time. My girlfriend has noted that it also means my face feels more scruffy at all parts of the day which is not the goal I’m after.

      Hi there,

Thank you for writing us a feedback about your Norelco Trimmer. How unfortunate to hear that you are not a fan of the product, and that it did not give you satisfying results. We highly recommend reading the user manual once again to learn about how you can maximize the use of the device and its attachments. Please also ensure that your groomer is regularly cleaned every after use, so you do not find it dull on your next shaving session.
