    Great Upgrade from the Original

I've been a Norelco OneBlade users for years, starting with the original shortly after release. It was my daily driver for a long time due to having very sensitive skin and get ingrown hairs regularly. The design of the OneBlade kept from shaving too close, and has helped a lot with ingrowns. After our beard policy changed at work, I've been able to grow facial hair and keep it, but I don't care for long beards and prefer the 3-5 days of growth look. The adjustment on the Pro is very nice for keeping a tight, trimmed look. I also like the charging cradle; the trimmer comes in and out of it very easily, unlike some other devices on the market, where the trimmer sticks to the cradle. The charge percentage indicator is nice, but unnecessary in my opinion. Even with a 10 day trip without the charger, it never went below 80%. I'm guessing this thing would go weeks and weeks between charges. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Quick home deliverty. A nice close shave -- including the hard-to-shave areas on the neck and under the nose. However, unable to get the trimmer to work and have resorted to using the attached trimmer of an old electric razor to trim sideburns. Working the automated cleaning sharping accessory need to be made easier and more convenient to use. I have no idea if what I'm doing is working as the indicator lights on the automated cleaning accessory are not clear what -- is anything -- is happening.

    Versatile Trimmer/Shaver For Personal Grooming

First, let me explain that I like the five o'clock shadow look, which requires daily trimming to be neat and maintained. However, the 'neat and maintained' commitment took too much daily, valuable, time from my fishing addiction, standing in front of a mirror primping and trimming. YUK! I have tried various facial hair and beard trimmers, edgers, and electric shavers without much success. So, I welcomed the opportunity to try a complimentary Phillips OneBlade Pro Wet/Dry Trimmer for review. After receiving the Phillips OneBlade Pro, I immediately plugged it in to charge. The indicator at the center of the shave body told me it was at a 100% after about an hour of charging. Okay, now comes the 'proof-of-the-pudding'. Since this unit was touted as a Wet/Dry shaver I put it to the test. I got into my shower and set the adjustable dial to .8. Having never shaved in the shower before this was a whole new experience for me. I did not use any shaving cream or gel. I followed the instructions and shaved in long even strokes. No 'pull' or 'gotcha' on any facial hairs – smooth and trimmed neatly. My facial skin felt soothing and not the slightest bit irritated after my first shower shave. I even cleaned the OneBlade under the running water of the shower head. How convenient is that? WooHoo! Here are some of the outstanding features of the Phillips OneBlade Pro Wet / Dry Trimmer: * OneBlade lets you trim, edge, and shave any length of facial hair without shaving too close to your skin. * Dial up one of the 14 lock-in length settings to get everything from a stubbly shadow, or trim your beard, mustache, sideburns, and the settings even allow for some hair trimming. * OneBlade allows you to follow the contour of your face without grabbing or nicking. * You can shave WET OR DRY with or without shave cream or gel. * You can use the razor against 'the grain', vertically or horizontally. * OneBlade shaving technology integrates a fast moving cutter (200x per second) with a dual protection system. It is very comfortable on your skin. * The blades are designed for lasting performance. For optimal performance, you will only need to replace the blade every 4 months*. Replacement is easy and hassle free. * OneBlade is easy to clean - just rinse it under the tap / shower. Unit is water resistant. * LED digital display shows status of battery and travel lock. Battery light flashes orange: battery is almost empty. Battery light flashes white or green: battery is charging. Battery light lights up continually: battery is fully charged. * Rechargeable Li-Ion battery delivers 90 minutes of constant styling power after a 1 hour charge. *Full two-year Warranty by Phillips Electronics. What's Included: * OneBlade Pro Handle Unit with LED Display * One Blade, Two-Sided Razor Blade * One Trimming Comb with Fourteen Length Settings * One Charging Stand and Charging Cord * Travel Pouch * User Manual After a week of grooming I am convinced that the OneBlade Pro is the best trimmer / shaver I've ever used. It is simple and easy to learn how to effectively trim the areas you want evenly. Most important to me is after trimming my facial hair and sideburns - it blends in so well that it is not pronounced. Nothing worse then a layered, choppy look on your sideburns that screams, 'rank amateur'. The speed of the two-sided blade makes shaving and trimming fast. This baby is so multi-functional it allowed me to neatly trim the hair on the back of my neck using the adjustable, trimmer comb. How cool is that? YooHoo! Prior to the OneBlade Pro I had both a trimmer and separate shaver. Now, the OneBlade has replaced both of them and is more compact, easier to use, and I love the adjustable trimmer comb, which makes it so versatile. I highly recommend the Phillips OneBlade Pro Wet / Dry Trimmer. It makes a great gift for guys with beards, mustaches, and facial hair of their own personal styles. It can be packed away easily for trips and stores conveniently on its own space-saving, power docking, charging stand. But, the performance of the OneBlade is the most outstanding feature. After my first trim it dawned on me why they call it OneBlade 'PRO'. Consider giving this to a special family member or friend, it will make a great Christmas, Birthday, or any occasion gift.

    Terrific Trimmer

Design: Simply put, the Philips OneBlade Pro is an innovative trimmer, and it all starts with the design. Its sleek and straightforward look is appealing to see on my bathroom countertop, and minimal space is taken up. Although it is larger than a razor, the OneBlade is significantly smaller than any other trimmer I have owned. In addition, the included dock is nice to have so that the trimmer can be propped up in a designated spot instead of laying down somewhere, which would take up more space. When you open the box and get your hands on the OneBlade Pro, you will notice that it feels like a premium device due to its durable build and simple (yet elegant) silver with black and green color scheme. The blades themselves also seem durable. Finally, the battery indicator screen is a nice additional feature, which helps you keep track of how much battery is left. Performance: The Philips OneBlade Pro performs exceptionally well. I use it about every other day to trim up stubble, and I am impressed with its ability to provide a smooth shave every time. I have not had any complaints about battery life because one charge can last up to 90 minutes, and I usually have it on the dock charging after each use anyway. The OneBlade is like a hybrid between an electric trimmer and a razor, and it utilizes the best features of both, convenience and performance. No other electric trimmer that I have used has been able to provide a razor-like shave as close and smooth as the OneBlade Pro. As for the convenience, it is very easy to use and versatile, which I elaborate on below. Versatility: After the first charge, which only takes a short amount of time, the OneBlade is ready to use out of the box. I did not initially need to read the directions, but I still recommend glancing through them to have a full understanding of what the OneBlade can do and how to use it correctly. Since the OneBlade Pro is water-resistant, you can shave with a wet face, in the shower, or even with shave cream. My preference is too wet my face or apply a small amount of shave cream before using the OneBlade because it glides much easier and works better than it does if your face is dry. Additionally, the water resistance allows you to simply rinse off the blade when you are done using the trimmer. The blades are dual-sided, so you can shave in either direction and not have to worry about cutting yourself. As for the precision, the included 14-length comb works effectively to provide the exact length desired. In addition, the top or bottom of the blade can be used for edging, so there is honestly nothing more that I wish the OneBlade could do. Verdict: Owning the OneBlade Pro has allowed me to successfully consolidate my electric trimmer and razor into one device without sacrificing features or performance. Although I have not tested the OneBlade out on a thick beard, it works perfectly for my uses (trimming and edging stubble), and it is very versatile. I have absolutely no complaints, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a razor-like shave with the features and convenience of an electric trimmer.

Great Electric Razor With A Problematic Trimmer

The Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro Wet/Dry Trimmer is an electric razor with a different design than rotary razors (or other razors that trim whiskers using a blade against some kind of screen). It uses a replaceable shaving surface (the OneBlade) that is similar in size and shape to a multi-blade razor. But the Philips razor operates more like a little orbital sander for your whiskers (though you can’t really feel the movement of the shaving surface against your skin). It works wet or dry - with or without shaving cream or gel. You can even use it in the shower. The top and bottom of each surface is designed for edging - the top of each “blade” drives the trimmer. Each OneBlade razor is supposed to last up to four months. For shaving, I got the best results using just a small amount of shaving gel to insure the razor could move smoothly over the contours of my face. It gives nearly as close a shave as a blade razor but gives a better shave than any other electric razor I have ever used (no pulled whiskers and no razor burns from having to grind into difficult areas). It did, however, take me a few tries to figure out the best angle, pressure, and direction to use for the best shave - my first shave left me a little patchy but by the third day, I had things pretty well figured out. The razor needed to be fully charged before its first use but charged very quickly. There is a display on the handle that shows you the remaining charge level when you turn the razor off. After five shaves, I still had a charge of over 90%. The trimmer attachment secures over the OneBlade and clicks into the handle. You can then control the cut using a dial on top of the trimmer - settings allow for trimmed hair lengths between 1/32” and 13/32” (well, technically, between .4mm and 10mm since the settings are marked in metric). The trimmer attachment works just fine but is awkward and clumsy - difficult and unintuitive to hold and use. If someone was facing you to trim your beard, the trimmer would fit naturally in their hand - but the angle you need to use to trim your own beard is cumbersome (and is uncomfortable in my hand). Overall, I’m very impressed with the OneBlade Pro razor but I wish they had thought-through the trimmer attachment a little bit more.

The Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro can be used in wet or dry conditions. The precision trimming comb is very easy to use and using turning dial you can set the length from 0.4 to 10mm. Battery life is good with 100 minute battery and it comes with a charging base. I was able to use it continuously 6 days without charge and still more than 85% charge left. Philips Norelco has quick charging technology and able to do full charge in less than 20 minutes. The battery life icon displayed in handle which is very helpful. The trimmer is water resistant and it can be used in the shower. This is a great trimmer for home as well as travel use. It is very small to carry and can be used to trim beard, trim around ears. I was very impressed by Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro Wet/Dry trimmer and recommend to anyone without any hesitation.

This shaver is so amazing you will shave way more often and you might shave whole face/head in a happy frenzy! I got this shaver to replace an old $400 shaver I still have and starting off with the unboxing experience it's pretty straight forward. You get the shaver, one blade piece, one trimmer attachment, a nice charging stand to make life easier and a nice enough shaving case/bag to carry it in. Once you get past that you grab your unit and shave. The blade gets really close without cutting myself like crazy or what my old shaver would do is YANK my hair out as it tries to cut. Thank you for that Phillips! The unit is a close shave and even after shaving my entire face it only lost 5% of it's battery. Looking forward to a long battery life with this unit. I have nothing bad to say about this shaver and some might say but yeah you are now hooked on their blades for life but my response to that would be. If I think of it like this I saved over $300 getting this one over another one my old clunky ones so I can afford the blades. Also, I had an old shaver that wanted to replace the blades after 9 months so it can't be helped plus they are pretty cheap. I hope my review helped you in your decision and seriously buy this I would be seriously surprised if you returned it.

A great razor that's easy to maintain

I really like this razor, Philips packed a lot in a small package. I can trim my beard with it, trim the edges of my beard, and shave my cheeks and neck with ease. The razor's battery life is great and the battery indicator is easy to read. I have to charge my razor about once every 6-8 weeks with daily use (once every evening). I wasn't sure if I would like the OneBlade but it works pretty well. The edges are good for doing straight lines and I don't have issues with razor bump, burning, or cuts. I wish it was a closer shave, it's close enough for me to still look professional at work but, my 5 PM, my stubble is back. That was the case with my larger Philips electric shaver and any razor-blade I use but it's a bit worse with the OneBlade. This won't give you a completely smooth shave but it works. My shaving routine, despite not having to shave much, used to take up a good 15-20 minutes of my day. My larger Philips razor would require daily cleaning with the razor's cleaner/stand (my facial hair is thick) and a normal 2-3 blade razor would have to be rinsed after every stroke. With the OneBlade, I turn it on and just go. I don't have to pause because it gets clogged, I don't have to continually rinse it out. The blade works wet or dry too but I find that it works best, for me, dry. Rinsing takes all of 10 seconds too. I'm now down to spending 3 minutes a day shaving. It may not seem like much but, over the last 6 months, it's saved me a total of 36 hours. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a quick shave that's close enough, for men who have thick facial hair, and for men with facial hair that grows in multiple directions (my hair swirls under my left and right cheeks). The OneBlade handles it all with ease without causing discomfort, razor burn, or bumps. I knocked it one star simply because the shave is not as close as other electric shavers in this price range but I think the conveniences and quality outweigh the closeness.

Surprising lightweight and easy to use trimmer. The Way you need to hold the trimmer takes a bit of getting used to, but it isn't too difficult or anything. I did manage to cut myself in a couple of spots, but I'm definitely going to chalk that up to my getting used to it. The trimmer also has a display on it that will show you how much batter is left, which is very useful. Charge times are pretty quick as well. The trimmer can also be used in the shower as well, so that can definitely speed up the morning routine. Overall, this is a great trimmer and pretty easy to recommend.

This shaver worked great for me, due to my thick beard. It really helped me make clean lines of my beard and take care of the hairs I wanted gone. This device makes it easy to get a good shave without irritating my skin and keeps working. The blades on the top and bottom of the head make it easy and simple to make straight lines and keep my beard looking in tip top shape! This device in general was an amazing addition to my beard trimmers and love to use it.

If you are looking for a good beard trimmer that can handle a variety of hair lengths, then look no further than the OneBlade Pro trimmer. Its very easy to use, battery will last a long time, you can use it in the shower or with shaving cream and the blades are supposed to last up to 4 months. The charger cable is also a standard Phillips/Norelco one that fits most of their current and previous shavers that you may already own. You will get a carrying case with this, charging cable, charging stand, and a trimmer attachment to adjust the custom length from 0.4 to 10 that uses a dial to dial in the exact length you are looking for. The trimmer also has a display for battery life remaining so you will always be ready and know how much battery is left. This is a great supplement to my phillips/norelco shaver that gives me a very close shave and with this I can get my stubble perfect. The price is very reasonable as well, you just can't go wrong with this. My only gripe with this is that your cut hair goes everywhere, so be ready to clean up a mess.

This is the absolutely the best razor I’ve ever used. I hesitated buying it but the reviews were great. I have to say it does not disappoint. It gives a super close shave without any irritation. I would describe the shave as close to 8 hours post shave with shaving cream and the Gillette Fusion I used to use. It also makes for a much quicker shave and less messy considering you do not need shaving cream. Easy to clean. I just run it under the sink and rinse it off. The battery lasts a long time as well. I would highly recommend this.

Easy to use trimmer, charges fast and lasts about 90minutes overall. Only down side I have is the advertised up to 4 month blade use is false. I probably used it on and off for 2 months before having to purchase another blade. Otherwise this is a great trimmer. Best part is it can be used in any direction without nicking or leaving a rash mark. Best for side burn clean ups and line up touch ups.

I'm gonna be honest...I try to AVOID shaving when possible. It's time-consuming and boring. Not to mention it also leaves me with a rash. Well, that's not entirely the case with this little guy. Despite its compact form-factor and relatively quiet volume, this thing packs a PUNCH. I have let my facial hair grow rather thick, and this thing just SLICES it (smoothly and insanely close to the skin) in one quick pass. It honestly blew me away. Also, the unique blade design allows for both shaving and styling...a real time-saver! As for all the great things: -LONG battery life (I shave 3-4 times/week minimum for about 5 minutes each and charge about 3-5 times per year, if that) -CLOSE shave (you can barely see the stubble if you do multiple strokes) -NO RAZOR BURN! A huge one for me after many others would give me severe irritation. -No ingrown hairs (or if I ever get them, they are rarely the result of the razor) -No maintenance required. Of course, you need to change blades every few months (indicated by the blade turning green, a helpful reminder), but no lubricant, excessive cleaning, etc. -Case/dock included! -AMAZING customer service from Philips (my charger malfunctioned and they sent me a whole new unit) Trust me, this thing does it all. I would happily pay double or even triple the price for this unit.

This razor is simply awesome. Pros: -Affordable -Lightweight -Dock for quick storage -Supports Quick charging -Battery status indicator right on the razor -Razor heads are durable and not pricy Cons: -This is being nit picky; but an electric razor will never get you close as a manual razor...still pretty impressive -Wish the head of the razor has a cover for dust Hope this helps!!
