Decent buy for the price. I have bought about the same razor every 5 years

It’s takes a while too trim beer when I know I could of got better but go cheap instead my fault

Even though I like to grow a nice goatee, the remaining areas need to be trimmed and shaved. However, it's hard to find a razor, electric or manual, that will get the job done fast and clean. Philips Norelco has been around for a long time and their electric razors have evolved and become much more practical and easier to use. Let's have a look at the Philips Norelco 2400 and how it stacks up with the competition. There are only a few things I expect from a razor: Not having to go back over the same section a dozen time to clear the hair, a decent battery life, a beard trimmer in case I forget my One Blade (same company) and for it to be easy to clean. That's not much to ask for and thankfully, this razor covers most of it. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and check what the box contains. The unboxing is underwhelming but not unexpected. There's the razor, a charging cable and a quickstart guide/pamphlet. That's it. No bag to put it in, no brush and no oil or any other welcome additions you might expect. Considering the price, that's a bit light. But on the other hand, you might have a drawer overspilling with all these things already. The shaver itself is nice, I like the rubber grip, the low weight and the ease to get it clean. The 3 rotating heads adapt to the "landscape" and do a pretty good job even around more complex areas with sharper contours (jawline for instance). One thing you need to keep in mind is that this is to keep your face shaved clean, not to foray through the jungle. It can handle short stubbles, but it clearly can't handle longer hair. One particular thing I found made me like this shaver a bit more though: the replaceable blades. Each of the 3 can be replaced if you feel they're going dull. I think that this is a good idea which also helps the environment. Now to what bugged me the most. As I mentioned above, the shaver comes with a charging cable. What I did not mention was that it's a USB to whatever that other end is. No charging brick. Nothing. You're expected to have a brick or an outlet with a USB-A connector. If you misplace the cable, you will need to get one from either Philips Norelco or whoever might have these. Charging time from zero to full can also take a while depending on what you connect the cable to. I feel this was a bad choice. Overall, this shaver gets the job done. It can keep your stubbles in check without a problem. The fact that it can be used wet is also great. But don't expect anything more than that. I hope Philips Norelco walk back on the charging cable, though. I would recommend it to any person who likes a daily, fresh clean shave.

We bought this shaver as a gift for a family member. The heads have not lasted and have fallen apart after cleaning.

When have received the item it was in an unsealed package and I wasn’t sure if it was brand new or not.

The Philips Norelco 2400 is an incredibly handy shaver. The shaver is made with solid materials and feels like it could withstand some wear-and-tear and still continue to function properly. The 3 rotating blades offer a smooth shave, and I haven't once had an issue with ingrown hairs or knicks in my skin. I honestly can’t even feel the shaver apart from a subtle buzz and vibration on my skin. The shaver glides smoothly over the skin, effortlessly removing long hairs and trimming shorter hairs. While the shaver will not give a skin tight trim like a straight razor would, it still performs excellently at keeping facial hair away. The addition of the straight shaver that pops out is also handy for any trimming of thicker hairs before using the main shaver feature. Another handy feature of the Norelco 2400 is its ability to offer a wet or dry shave. The shaver can be rinsed under water for easy cleaning and the head hinges open to remove hairs stuck inside. In terms of battery life, I have used it 9 times now and haven’t had to charge it yet and it charges very rapidly. This shaver is incredible for its price, and is a great shaver to add to your daily routine. I couldn’t recommend it anymore.

Isn’t good and cut the hair is westing the money don’t buy

I primarily got this shaver to shave my head and neck when I am in a rush and I do not have time to use a safety razor. I made sure the shaver was fully charged before my first use. Note that this comes with a USB charger and not a traditional cord. That could be a positive or negative depending on the person. It get the job done, but the is not very close. The shaver is not very powerful so if I have a couple days of growth it takes longer for a complete shave. I will try to do a wet shave with some shaving cream to see if I get better results, but the kinda defeats the purpose. The pop-up trimmer is there for minor edge ups of my mustache and beard, but it seems pretty flimsy to me. It does not come with a carrying case or cleaning brush, but it is easy to clean by just pushing the button to release the top. It does come with a cover for the blades which is important to preserve the life of the blades. I wouldn't recommend this shaver, just spend a little more and get something better.

I don't believe there's any other choice of an electric shaver than norelco. I have bought their products for years. I only hoped they would one day start making straight razors but they're doing so well at this why bother. The three blades shave me pretty close. When I have noticeable and visible stubble it drops it down pretty well. I am African-American and I have some very coarse and tough facial hair and this stuff gets it chopped down right to the millimeter. Also makes for a nice quick shave in the shower if you've forgotten to shave for a few days and need to hurry up and shower and shave simultaneously. It definitely works in the water. Works even better with shaving cream and clean up is super easy. You simply open the latch and dump out the excess hair. It weighs next to nothing so it's not heavy in your hand. The little flip up attachment on the back for touch ups on the mustache or maybe even the hairline is a nice little add-on as well it has a protective blade that follows the little straight blades, to minimize nicks and such. Definitely love this shaver

As someone who served in the military, I was required to shave on a daily basis. There are very few things worse than dragging a sharp object across your skin on a daily basis. I primarily used a triple edge razor blade and it cut pretty well, but always left bumps on my skin and in-grown hairs. I tried this type of shaver many years ago and didn’t remember how well it cut, so I decided to try this one. This shaver is very durable and can be used wet or dry. Ive used it both ways and prefer using it on a wet face. I haven’t used any shaving cream or anything, which may actually get me a closer, cleaner shave. It feels really good against my skin, but it doesn’t cut super close, so it wont replace my razor, but it does clean up my beard and neck area well enough to give me 2-3 days in between shaves. Sometimes, I hate getting out all of the stuff I need to shave with and this allows for a quick clean-up/line-up and then I’m out the door. There is a flip-up shaver that is used for lining up your mustache, beard or goatee. Its not extremely sharp, but it does the trick. The battery life seems to be good, but since I don’t use it daily, your mileage may vary. Overall, this is a good shaver from a recognizable brand and does what it’s intended to do.

The instructions warn you not to press too hard on your face, and if you do, you find a big difference between a shaver like this with rotary blades and the other kind, where the whiskers are cut after they enter the "pores" of the foil part. In this case, pushing too hard enables these little blades to catch the skin that has been pushed into them. So be careful. This 2400 shaver charges easily with a little USB cable that is provided, you must use a spare USB charger to provide the power. The pop-out trimmer blade is small and narrow (less than a full inch wide) but cuts cleanly and is easy to use as far as it being mounted on the side of the shaver. This is the quietest shaver of this type I've had, not annoying and not a lot of vibration either. It glides across your face finding whiskers to buzz off with ease. I noticed though--the shave is not as close as it is with a high-end foil type shaver. But this shaver is nowhere near the price of a high-end shaver either. It doesn't come with a storage case or anything like that--just a booklet and a charge cable. Still seems like a decent shaver for the money, and lightweight.

The NORELCO SHAVER 2400 is my first shave of its kind. I have been using regular razor shavers, and had thought about switching over. The opportunity came up to get my hands on the NORELCO SHAVER 2400, so I went for it. Being that it was my first time trying an electric shaver, I was surprised at how relatively light and comfortable the NORELCO SHAVER 2400 felt. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to use it right away. It arrived with uncharged, which was perfect to check for charge speed. The NORELCO SHAVER 2400 charged really fast. It took around 30-45 minutes to get to a full charge. On the first try, I was really halt at how comfortable my shave was. Although the NORELCO SHAVER 2400 appears bulky, it’s really comfortable to handle. The shave was great. I was worried that it would leave high spots, but nope. It left my face with a smooth clean shave. Best of all I was same to get a few shaves out of a single charge. The fact that I’m able to take it into the shower made the NORELCO SHAVER 2400 even more convenient. I would definitely recommend the NORELCO SHAVER 2400 to anyone.

I have used this shaver for a week so far. #1 purpose of the device of course is to provide a comfortable and close shave....I would say it does this very well. I've used electric shavers as well as the old school shaving cream/blades over the last 35 years and most electrics leave me with irritated skin. So far, this one has been good to my skin and leaves a smooth shave. The flexing heads (and probably brand new rotating blades) helps for sure. Grip felt good in my hand. I like that it has a pop-up trimmer as well. I had a more expensive model that had a separate attachment (which I was shocked at...pop-up trimmers have been on shavers since my Dad's). Plug in with USB is a little different, but not hard to find some old iPhone plug to use it with (plenty of those laying around. Definitely recommend checking it out for those wanting a good quality smooth and comfortable shave.

I have been using electric shavers for about 25 years and have always been a fan of Philips Norelco products. I've never liked to use traditional razors because shaving takes longer, I always seemed to get nicks, and I was never a fan of the clean-up process (including drain clogs). This product impressed me with its features and shave quality. Pros: - Their latest models, including this one, has shifted to USB charging. I love this because I don't have to search for the correct power cord to charge with as virtually everyone has readily available USB charging plugs these days. - It can be used both as a dry shaver or in the shower. Being waterproof also makes it easier to clean. - The trimmer, used to neaten beards or trim sideburns, works well. - It's nice and light, has a comfortable grip, and can run for up to 40 minutes on a charge. - The shave feels very good with this product. It does a great job, with its flexible heads, of giving a fairly close shave in an efficient amount of time. Cons: - A USB cord is included in the box, but the power adapter to plug into is not. Make sure you have a spare adapter for your bathroom outlet when you purchase this. (Or you can charge it in another room as well) This shaver is priced affordably and functions exactly as I need it to. I think it's a great option for anyone, like me, that does not like traditional shaving.

The budget electric razor market has an abundance of options in this day and age. I have been looking for something to use for beard trimming, and some shaving of areas of my face and head (fully bald look). I have purchased expensive electric razors for years, and I have been largely underwhelmed by them honestly. After many uses though, I am blown away by the Philips Norelco Shaver 2400! I have a much more expensive electric shaver that I use for my head, and it really never does the trick in giving me that razor close shave. This is something I had given up on, and really thought to be impossible. How wrong was I! This Norelco Shaver 2400 keeps my head smooth, and it does so in record time! I only spend a couple minutes a day going over my head now, and my old electric razor took me at least 7-8 minutes! And the beard trimmer is awesome too, it does an excellent job of tackling the minor trimming that I do a few times a week. Overall this razor outperforms some of the expensive competition, and at a fraction of the cost!

I have always had a somewhat love-hate relationship with electric shavers. They are convenient, but they are often not efficient and fail to shave as well as a traditional hand-held razor. Unfortunately, this cordless electric shaver is not much different. To begin, the unit has a rechargeable battery and is designed to be used either dry or wet, which is convenient (although I very seldom use an electric shaver wet because I need a mirror and, if I am not going to shave in the shower and need to stand in front of my mirror, I might as well lather up and use a razor). There is a beard trimmer included, but its effectiveness is lackluster (and, when trying to use it in the "wrong" direction, it will close on you). The hair reservoir within the razor is pretty deep, so no need to empty it frequently, which is nice. The grip is comfortable and the razor seems to glide well. Beyond that, though, I found the shaving experience to be average. If you have facial hair that is longer than stubble, the razor can struggle and I found myself making multiple upon multiple passes to try and shave my face and neck. If shaving stubble, the razor is more effective, but longer facial hair is a challenge. As a matter of fact, I often found myself "cleaning up" with a traditional razor after using this shaver. This experience is essentially the same experience I have ever had with cordless electric shavers... This unit is no different. On the plus side, though, if you are willing to go over and over the same spot on your face multiple times for the hair to be trimmed, the unit does a good job of being comfortable and not giving you razor burn. As much of a pain as it is to use a traditional razor to shave, though, I personally find that it goes much faster than using an electric razor (this model included). So, what are my ultimate thoughts? This electric razor really is not any different than other razors on the market. If the price is comparable and you are looking for an electric razor (and are familiar with the disadvantages associated with such), this shaver will do just fine. If you are looking for something revolutionary in shaver design, however, this is not it.

The Philips Norelco 2400 cordless electric shaver has a well thought out form factor. The unit fits comfortably in either hand. This model has all the standard features one would expect in an electric shaver. This Norelco razor is also a wet/dry shaver. The floating 3 rotating cutting heads conform to your facial features and give you a close shave. With the push of a button the top of the razor flips open to allow for cleaning of the razor. The razor can be cleaned by running water and turning the unit on. The unit should be air dried only. The three cutting rotating blades are replaceable. The plastic cover to protect the top of the razor only fits in one way and will snap shut. The feature I like the best about this model is the flip up top is securely fastened to the body of the razor. All the other razors I have owned the flip top fall off when you turn them over to brush out the hair. On the back of the razor is the pop-up trimmer. This trimmer is also cleaned by running water. The trimmer cuts are fine and to the skin without leaving a rash. The only thing that I had a problem with was the charging cord. The unit has the standard 2 prong plug type charging port but the other end plugs into a USB type A charging adapter that is not provided and with most new products utilizing the USB type C ports, USB type A charging adapters are hard to find.

It is kind of a bare bones package: you get a shaver, a USB charging cable without wall adapter, and a screen cover (which fits quite tightly) but no brush or carrying case. However, I have found it to be one of the finest shavers that I have used. It provides a close shave without causing any burns while gliding around/over the numerous obstacles (moles) on my chin. When you pop up the shaving heads, you will notice a cavernous area beneath and large towers that flex a lot and provide power to the shaving heads. I think it is those towers that are the secret to to smooth shave with obstacles avoidance. The popup edger/trimmer works but it is not a feature that I use often. The shape of the shaver it a bit different from what I am accustomed to. Most of the shavers that I have used are kind of long and skinny, but not this one. It seems like it is a bit shorter but quite a lot bigger around yet no so big around that I cannot easily grasp it properly - it actually feels more comfortable in my hand somehow. It provides a really super shave.
