I’ve used Norelco shavers for several decades and they’ve never disappointed. This model has provided a very close and comfortable shave with only one pass and the battery life has been excellent. Also, the quick clean pod cartridge is a nice addition.

I have had several shavers, whether for my face or head. Took a chance on this shaver and I have already used it 3 times now. It does wonders! For a shaver it shaves close to my skin, although if you really want your head slick then use a straight razor, but this shave gets it really close ! Battery is holding very well, started out at 3 bars and is still holding at 2 bars>and it does take me a while to shave my head ! Cleaner works well also ! Carry case is a charm. Thanks

This is the product that I never knew I desperately needed. It is first-class quality manufacturing, with all the accessories you need to give the shave you need every day for months. There is even a free app that trains you how to use the shaver for the best results. I should have gotten this years ago and you should get this right now!

I have to admit that the more I use this shaver the easier it becomes to shave on a daily basis because of how practical and easy it is. I find that this shaver has what it takes to get an impeccable shave every day. Just turn it on and start shaving, whether it is used dry or with shaving foam the process is very easy, also because it can connect via bluetooth with your cell phone, it keeps track of how many times you shave. The app compiles the information from each shave to give you personalized feedback on how you are doing which I think is great, you could swear you know how to shave but the truth is that is not always the case. One of the features that I really like is the guided shave, I find it very useful that you can improve the way you use your shaver because the more you master it the less likely you are to damage your skin. I find it amazing that we can connect and control most of our daily use products with our phone however, to shave and save the log in the phone app you don't need to have it with you, the device will sync and inform you when it has sent a notification to your phone. Within the app you can watch instructional videos that explain how to use the shaver, how to clean it and if you have extra accessories, how to use them. You can also order new blades and cartridges for the cleaning pod, something very useful that makes everything even easier. There is very interesting articles about shaving as well as tips and tricks for a better shaving experience. The shaver comes with a case where it can be stored and transported perfectly, includes a cleaning pod that works great, a small cleaning brush and a USB cable to charge the device. Regarding the performance, the head of the shaver is very well designed as it moves and adjusts to the different movements and areas to shave, the blades cut the hair very close but without irritating the skin, at least so far I have not felt any discomfort. The trimmer seems to me something that could not be missing, there are always places where it is better to shave with a trimmer instead of the upper blades, is on the side and is very easy to use, cuts with great precision and has a very convenient size. The device has an ergonomic design that gives a good grip, it is very easy to maneuver and also easy to clean, just rinse it with water, but you can also place it in the cleaning pod, turn on the device and in a minute it is clean, it's that simple. The battery lasts long enough despite daily use, in a week has not decreased 70% from the day I charged it fully, of course it will depend on the use and type of beard of each person. There is no doubt that this shaver is really designed to meet the important needs in shaving a man's face, issues such as not irritating the skin, the ergonomic design of the device, the placement of the blades and its trimmer that allows shaving every part of the face and neck, it is easy to use and understand the device, a cleaning pod that does the work for you, water resistance, can be used even in the shower, and a very complete app that helps you improve your shaving day by day. Highly recommended without a doubt!

Very Close Shave - Versatile Unit

Item packaged very well and all needed accessories are included. Charged it up and went to work. Super close comfortable shave. What is great about this item is the independent moving heads. Not only is the unit have an overall pivoting head, but each head moves as well. This helps gives a smooth comfortable shave. No knicks or cuts at all. The unit is comfortable to hold and does not slip in your hands, even when wet. Great to use in the bathroom or in the shower. This razor can be used dry or wet. I like to add a thin layer of shaving cream to really get a smooth close shave. The unit charges quickly and lasts a long time. The unit is well designed and made. It is durable and feels great. No cheap components. The pop-up trimmer is great to trim hair around the ears and even eyebrows. What makes this a winner is the included cleaning pod. After using, you place the unit in the quick clean pod and 1 minute later, you have a super clean lubricated razor. No more fumbling with oil. Could not be easier. This was an upgrade from my old Philips razor and I could not be happier. Highly recommended. Great unit!!!

Quiet, Comfortable, Easy to Clean, Nice App

Summary: If a rotary-style shaver is your thing or you’re interested in trying one out, you can’t go wrong with this one. It is very comfortable to hold, extremely quiet and has a surprisingly functional automatic cleaning base. Plus, for those new to this style of shaver, the well-rounded app connects to the shaver via Bluetooth and has tons of tutorials, tips, videos and advice to get the most out of it. The cleaning base is not a charger, though, so you still have to plug the shaver in occasionally, but you can put the cleaning pod anywhere that’s convenient for daily use and cleaning even if a charger is not nearby. BTW, it comes with a USB charging cable, but it should be noted that the shaver end of the cord is still the Philips style end used on their other non-USB shavers, so you still need to bring this special cord with you even if you have other USB chargers handy. Pros: * Extremely quiet operation. * Does a great job for this style of shaver. * Long use between charges. * Cleaning base doesn’t require power so it can go anywhere. * Auto-cleaning cycle with a single button press. * Built-in pop-up trimmer. * Bluetooth connectivity to a well-rounded app. * USB charging cord instead of an AC adapter. * Provided carry case is just the right size. Cons: * USB charging cord is proprietary. * Cleaning base relies on air drying so it takes a while to be ready for the next use. * No drop-in charger - requires plugging in with provided cable. Setup: The shaver itself requires only initial charging for basic use. If you’re going to try the app, then you need to pair the shaver to your phone/app as well. The provided charging cord has a USB-A connector on one end and the Philips-style plug on the other end. Plug the card into a standard USB charger (brick, power bank, etc.) and the display indicates charging status. Easy enough! You can’t use it while it’s charging, but a full charge takes about an hour and a quick charge for a single use is about 5 minutes. The phone app is not required for use, and the shaver can sync to the app after you’re done, but the app does seem to provide some value for those who want to use it. Pairing was fast and easy using the app to find and set up the unit. The app even takes care of registering the shaver for the warranty. The provided cleaning base is really simple but works well. There is a disposable Quick Clean Cartridge that you need to replace about once a month depending on your use and the app reminds you when it’s time. Open the Quick Clean Pod by rotating the lid and lifting it off, then peel off the cartridge’s cover, place the cartridge inside the pod and put the Pod’s lid back on. That’s it. Typical Usage: There is only a power button to turn the shaver on or off and also put it in travel lock mode. The shaver adjusts its speed as needed and it seemed to work well. I’ve been using a foil-type shaver for years so that’s what I’m used to. The instructions say it takes up to a week to get used to switching things up and I agree. That said, this did a great job on 5 days of stubble as well as a 2 day shadow. It was remarkably quiet even compared to my pricey foil-type shaver. The app guides you through the proper technique of using this style of rotary shaver, and also times you to make sure you don’t irritate your skin by shaving too long. There is an indicator on the handle to let you know when you’re not using the recommended technique, but it’ll probably be covered up by your hands. You can either wait until you’re done to see that indication on the shaver itself and then open the app to get coaching for the next time, or have the app open during use and it’ll give you live coaching during use. I will say that the design of this shaver didn’t work as well as my foil shaver on my chin, under my nose or at my ears/sideburns. It worked great everywhere else, though. The battery level display is just a 3-level bar graph so you don’t get granular information. A single use didn’t budge the battery, so I’m guessing that it should last at least a few weeks between charges. Great for week-long trips since you don’t need to carry the cord. The provided Quick Clean Pod has no motor, lights or power. It is merely a well-designed holder for the cleaning cartridge that the shaver fits into upside-down. My foil shaver uses a similar type of cleaning solution and base but has pumps, air driers and power pass-through so that shaver not only cleans, but dries and charges while inverted in it. This shaver’s pod only cleans the shaver after which it air dries. There is no power cord connected to the pod so the shaver doesn’t charge when inserted. Even though this might seem like a lesser design, it actually works really well. Plus, since there’s no cord connected to the cleaning base, you can put it anywhere that’s convenient and only charge the shaver when you need to - again about once or twice a month for typical use. The built-in trimmer is wide enough to get your sideburns easily and it’s positioned high enough up on the back of the unit so that you can still see what you’re doing. It pops up when needed and folds flat on the back when not in use. Plus, since it’s built-in, you don’t need to remember to pack it and won’t loose it. After shaving, pop open the cutter assembly with a spring-loaded tab, tap out any loose stubble, then close the assembly, invert the shaver and rest it on the Quick Clean Pod. Press the power button on the shaver and it goes into an automatic self-cleaning mode for 1 minute then turns itself off. Leave the shaver upside-down on the Pod to drain for a bit and then it’s ready to use long before the next day. Even though the pod doesn’t charge the shaver, you still might get up to a month between charges depending on your use. Replacing the Quick Clean Pod’s cartridge is super easy - just unscrew the Pod’s lid, throw out the old cartridge and drop in a new one. This kit also includes a carrying case for travel use. It has just enough room for the shaver and USB cord. The cleaning base isn’t meant to be moved since the cleaning liquid will slosh around and spill. Since the case is just large enough for the shaver and cord, it packs well for trips and keeps everything nice and tidy. An app for a shaver might seem totally useless, but this one actually has some helpful information. For those new to this type of rotary shaver, it illustrates recommended techniques and provides useful tips. If you have it open while shaving, it even provides live guidance and timing. I found the AR try-on for different facial hair styles to be fun. If you choose to try growing one of them, the app even provides tips and guidance for growing into that style. There’s also reminders for cleaning with the pod and a tracker for how often you use the cleaning pod and when it’s time to replace the cleaning cartridge. Conclusion: Incredibly quiet with a long-lasting battery and a useful put-anywhere auto-cleaning base to keep it ready for use. The built-in trimmer is handy and helpful. The app is not totally necessary, but it does help for anyone new to this style of shaver and has helpful tutorials, tips and reminders. I’m not sure I see the value in the USB cable they provided; sure you can use a standard USB charger brick instead of the typical AC adapter, but you still have to bring this special USB cable and bring a USB charger. If a rotary-style shaver meets your needs or you just want to switch, you can’t go wrong with this one!

I’ve been using electric shavers for 25+ year, but I’ve always used the foil type shaver, this Norelco 7600 is the first time I’m trying a rotary shaver. Inside the box, you’ll find the Norelco 7600 shaver, a travel case, a Quick-Clean Pod with fluid cartridge, corded charger (the charger plugs into bottom of the shaver handle), a small cleaning brush and the user manual. Note: the charger it comes with is only a wire that plugs into the shaver, the other end is a USB-A connection, you’ll need a USB block to charge. It’s like the new iPhones, just the wire is included. It takes an hour to charge fully and should last 60 minutes. The included travel case is nice, not too big, just big enough to hold the shaver and the charging cable…if you fold it neatly (see photo). The 7600 is fairly lightweight and comfortable to hold. The 3 heads pivot individually to contour to your face. After each use, you’re supposed to clean the shaver. There’s a small button on the front to flip open the shaving heads for easy cleaning. It has SenseIQ technology to detect your beard density for better shave. In addition, there’s a Philips Norelco app that connects to the shaver via Bluetooth. The app gives you feedback on your shaving and all sorts of other information on shaving including shave history. The shaver can be used wet or dry and with shaving creams and gels, I plan to use it dry. There is a handy pop up trimmer on the back which I find very convenient for trimming the sideburns. Since I’m on the topic of the pop up trimmer, I noticed the trimmer didn’t trim off as much hair like my current foil shaver did. I think it’s because of the size of the teeth, the teeth on the Norelco is wider than my current foil shaver (photo attached). The shaver itself does a very good job in trimming my facial hair, it’s like a little lawnmower on my face! It gave me a close shave; I would say about the same as my foil shaver when it comes to closeness. Where this shaver excels is that it trims all the random hair that’s on the side of my face, away from my chin area, with the foil shaver, it misses some of that hair. This shaver also takes less time, probably due to the 3 heads covers more surface area. After using the Norelco for several days, I gotten used to the Norelco. It does the job quickly, the shaver itself is more quiet than my foil shaver. I don’t find the app that useful, not sure what shave history does for me. It seems like every device has an app these days, whether it needs it or not. I found the illustrations and instructions for the quick clean pod a bit confusing, basically you open the liquid and place the entire container into the pod container. There’s a little ring you snap to give you a carrying handle to lift into and out of the cleaning pod. Then place cleaning pod lid back on and place shaver in and press the start button. The shaver will know to go into clean mode, in 1 minute, it will be done. Depending how often you use the cleaning solution, you might have to replace it after a month (daily use) or 3 months (weekly use) - $12 for 2 pods. Overall, a very good shaver, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a full featured rotary shaver at a reasonable price.

The Philips Norelco 7600 shaver is an excellent shaver, that provides a close, comfortable shave. With an included trimmer and cleaning pod, this is a great introductory electric razor. Pros - Close Shave - Trimmer - Cleaning Pod Cons - Motion Control Sensor The Philips Norelco 7600 is a comfortable shave. Taken out of the box, it took approximately one hour to charge fully. While dry shaving, the shaver's 360° contour heads provide a comfortable shave. Though, it did take longer for me to shave to get smooth skin, this did not cause any skin irritation. Next, the included trimmer (built-in) to the shaver is excellent. I found that trimming a 3-day beard was precise and it did not pull at the hair on my face. The trimmer was fast and consistent; trimming my beard and sideburns was simple and effective. Again, I did not experience any pulling or uncomfortable trimming with this razor. Additionally, the 7600 includes a cleaning pod. Although not needed (because you can shave either in wet conditions, or clean the razor with water), the pod includes a cleaning solution that cleans well and smells good. Simply place the razor upside down (blades down) after each use, and press the power button to allow the 1 minute cleaning time to take place. I will say this, make sure to replace the cleaning pod solution every month or so, it gets dirty quickly and the solution starts to evaporate. Again, it is not necessary to use it, it's just an added feature to a great razor. Unfortunately, one of the features, The Motion Control Sensor, is supposed to guide you while shaving for "better technique and less passes." However, the feature is located on the LCD display on the razor and it's not noticable while shaving (your hand blocks it). Unless you connect to the app and shave, it's a pointless feature. Overall, the Philips Norelco 7600 shaver is an excellent introductory shaver. It provides a smooth, comfortable shave, and the trimmer attachment is excellent in trimming beards, and around sideburns.

THIS… is the Philips Norelco 7600. Norelco's mid-range shaver comes in around $140 MSRP. This is a wholly refreshed unit from the ground up. This shaver (7600) and others in the Norelco's lineup are using a new interface, app, and cleaning base in what is, in my opinion, a total upgrade from the ground up. Shave - The shave is actually quite nice, I couldn’t tell if it was actually “changing” the power in the shaver as I was going audibly, but I never had an issue shaving and was blown away by how close it got for the price! I was never nicked or pulled and the heads adjust quite well to my jaw even at its sharpest point. I did have to do a couple of passes in some areas but it was the areas with the densest patches of hair and it never ONCE irritated my skin. I only shave dry with this, but I did try it wet a few times to see how it was and it still did well! My preference is just dry, and no other reason. I would not recommend this on more southern regions as it doesn’t modulate the shave heads THAT well… but I don't think anyone expected to use it for the jewels. I think that everywhere else is good other than THAT specific area, but does everywhere else at an A++ level. Shaver Construction/Interface - This Razer is constructed of mainly a nice grooved plastic with some metal such as the power button and the physical shave head. It has a nice feel to it as well, enough heft to feel quality but not enough to think about fatigue. The screen is actually quite bright and has indicators for everything you would need. It tells you when it is running, cleaning on the base if the shaved head is open (like if you clicked open the top to change the blades), and the power of the shaver. It really couldn’t do more for me in that aspect and I really enjoyed it and how intuitive it is. I can see how one would enjoy the all-metal feel of a more higher-end Norelco, but this is a really well-made, great-feeling shaver and looks nice and sleek! Rear Trimmer - Sometimes you want every feature, and sometimes you wish it didn’t have some. The rear shave unit is used to knock down a longer beard into something the main shave head can manage. My opinion is quite negative on this method (I also have it from Norelco's main competitor and hated it, it's me, not the feature.) because I would rather use a more stable and powerful shaver for a week + beard. I am sure some will love this feature, and I implore you to try it…. Just isn't the method I would use and I assume most people buying this will have another unit like a Norelco One Blade to do that job and do it significantly more precisely/quickly. App - The app is actually quite nice, and is especially nice for those wanting to try new styles, track their shaves, and improve them. The app has a few features I want to cover but is ultimately a man's best tool for getting better at shaving. To start, it tracks your shaving and cleaning to let you know when they need to be replaced which is always nice! Apart from that, it helps you better guide your shave for a more efficient and quicker shave which I enjoyed using, along with telling you how long the shave was and the last time you used it. It also has an odd tool that lets you superimpose a new beard on your face, just a really cool nice-to-have feature. The last thing I want to cover on the app aside from how quick, clean, and well laid out it is…. Is how they have tried to pack and update it with knowledge and videos on not only how to use your razor, but how to do things better with articles being uploaded to the app to help such as how to prevent redness amongst other things. Sometimes an app can really be a drag or a waste, but Philips (and Norelco by extension) has always made really well laid out, clean and quick apps and this isn't an exception to that. Base - The base included with the 7600 is also the same one included in the higher-end models, and that isn't a knock to the lineup because it is actually amazing. There is no power running to the base, you have to charge the razor on the physical base of the razor (just like the prior gen could if it wasn't in the charging base), and is powered by the blades running through the cleaning solution which is actually quite powerful! The Razor detects that it is docked into the base and magnetically attached to it quite well. I had to click power to start the cleaning cycle but it stopped on its own. It is actually just so brainless that I fell in love with it instantly because it was so simple and intuitive. Consumables - Just like every other shaver on the market, you will need to replace the heads as recommended every 12 months, and cost $35. The cleaning unit also has a replaceable cleaning agent in the base which is recommended to be replaced every 3 months and cost $12 for a two-pack. What I didn’t like - There are three things I would like to point out that I didn’t like. The charger was a stickler for me, as it is a universal power cable rather than something someone might have more readily available like a USB-C. Now you can get a replacement cable quite easily as it is a standard cable… but it is just annoying that they can’t switch over to a more universal and accessible cable like USB-C. This shaver also didn’t include a charging block, just the cable… which was a big question mark for me that they would include one but not the other. It is a USB cable so you can use any block but really..? The last thing is that I think they should have left off the rear shave unit, as it really is a complete waste. Norelco makes really good shavers so why they wouldn't defer to something that would not only do the job better but also be quicker and easier is a bit beyond me. One More thing…. I do wish that the power was still included in the base, as it is easier to run the power to a stationary unit that won't move, but, the battery last long enough that it really isn’t the biggest hassle… but just would be nice to have. Conclusion - I was really torn on making this a 4-star or 5-star shaver, but I really think this is a 5-star shaver. It does what it needs to do at an exceptionally high level. Sure the charger is somewhat annoying but it is still a universal cable, and I just won’t use the rear shaver anyways so no hard no foul. I really enjoyed this product and like what they have done updating the Shaver and Base unit, so much in fact, that this is what I want to use to teach my brother to shave since we can track it on the app and have him use the features included to get better as well! I recommend this to anyone looking in this price range, as it really doesn’t get better, and the expendables are actually well-priced and aren’t required to be changed often at all. As always, BestBuy has excellent customer service and a great return policy, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like.

    Very Smooth Shaver

The Norelco wet/dry shaver 7600 provides a rather smooth shave given it's price point and I also now have to admit much less skin irritation compared to my previous Braun shaver. The unit came well packaged with thought given to reduce damage in shipping and was very nicely put together. Inside the box was the Shaver, a travel case, power/charging cord and a cleaning brush. The shaver battery was approxamitely 50 percent charged when it arrived. I reccomend fully charging the battery before first use. You can also charge the battery for one hour and it gives about 60 minutes of shaving depending on your circumstances. This shaver has very flexible heads that do a very good job of floating along your skin. The heads are surrounded by ComfortGlide rings. These rings have a protective coating to help reduce any possible skin irritation and I found them to work very well. They packet claims to have self-sharpening blades, which if true should cut down on replacement costs as they are never cheap. During the week that I have used this I cannot really tell if they do self-sharpen. I used the shaver in both wet and dry conditions and both seemed to work well. I did not notice any difference in either condition. The pop-up trimmer worked well trimming my sideburns. The shaver came with a cleaning base that cleans and lubricates in just a minute by simply inserting the shaver. I felt that this feature worked well and for me the only drawback is that you have to keep buying the pods to clean your shaver. Overall I am very pleased with this unit and would certainly reccomend.

THE BREAKDOWN: The Philips Norelco 7600 Shaver a rechargeable wet/dry shaver with included flip out beard trimmer. The trimmer also comes with a carrying case and cleaning brush. This shaver delivers a decently smooth shave, and I must admit with less skin irritation than my other electric shaver. The shaver came packaged in retail packaging. It was very well put together. Inside the box was the Shaver, a case/pouch, power/charging cord, small cleaning brush and quick cleaning pod and cartridge. The shaver battery was almost completed depleted when it arrived. I fully charged the battery before first use. You can also charge the battery for one hour and it gives about 60 minutes of shaves and depending on the time you take to shave. This shaver has 360-degree contour heads that does a good job of keeping contact with your skin. The heads are also surrounded by a nano skinglide coating for minimum friction and maximum comfort. I found them to work very well. They also claim that they have 90,000 cutting actions per minute and that it also has 75 self-sharpening blades. For the week that I have used this I cannot really tell if they do self-sharpen. I used the shaver in both wet and dry conditions, and both seemed to work well. I did not notice any difference in either condition. The trimmer did not work as well as advertised, I felt as if it just pulled my hair. The shaver came with a cleaning base that cleans and lubricates in just a minute. I felt that this feature worked well and for me the only drawback is that you must keep buying the pods to clean your shaver. The LED display on the shaver itself was great and intuitive. I normally shave about every 3 to 4 days and my beard grows fast and this would do a great job and did zero pulling. The shaver is very quiet to previous shavers that I have owned. You can still have a conversation while using it. PRO’s: -Shower Proof -Lithium-Ion battery -Nano SkinGluide Coating -Great display -Wet or Dry shave CON’s: -Replace the pod cleaning solution -The trimmer attachment doesn’t work well SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked well and as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for device like this.

The Philips Norelco S7886/84 is my first rotary electric razor as I’ve only used electric foil razors in the past. This set includes a cleaning pod with one cleaning fluid cartridge and a travel case with a rigid, soft fabric exterior and zippered clamshell design that has just enough room for the razor, the included cleaning brush, and the USB charging cable (without a wall adapter). It is a mid-tier Philips product with up to 90,000 cutting actions per minute using three self-sharpening blades on flexible pentagonal heads. While larger than round shaver heads, this new shape is supposed to improve efficiency using hair channels to direct hair into the blades and reduce friction on the skin with a micro-beaded surface. For the most part, the flexibility of the heads allowed the blades to conform to the contours of my face for full skin contact only using gentle pressure and without much friction. The shaver can be paired with your smartphone via the Philips GroomTribe app which you can then use to start a “guided shave.” This feature shows you whether you’re using the proper circular motion technique in real-time, charts your historical usage of the product, and records each session’s shave time to provide you with helpful suggestions on how to improve your shaving experience. In the app you’ll also find articles on skincare, lifestyle, grooming, style guides and tutorials, and an AR facial hair filter to preview possible beard styles using your phone’s camera. It seems targeted towards folks who are looking for a more complete “grooming experience” from their electric razor than a just simple shave. You’ll be able to view the shaver’s battery life as a percentage which is a bit more informative than the three battery bars on the unit’s LCD. As well, you can reach customer care or shop for accessories, other grooming products, and refill cleaning pods. There is a skin acclimation period of 21-days, so I haven’t used the product long enough for my skin to fully adapt to the device. That said, my first shave with the razor on several days facial hair growth went fairly smoothly. That is to say it was a very close shave, considering it was done dry, without pre-trimming or pre-shave oil, and I didn’t feel a whole lot of pinching, tugging, or snags during the shave. With Sense IQ, the shaver measures your hair density and coarseness 250 per second and adjusts the motor speed on-the-fly, which you can hear as the motor runs faster or slower. I did find that I had to do multiple passes over some areas, for example, along the jawline and under the chin, in order to cut all the hairs growing in different directions and maintain good skin contact with the heads. However, the result was a smooth finish with little to no remaining stubble. I experienced the most irritation and redness on my neck after the first shave, which I hope will improve over time with regular use as my skin adapts to it. I have also tried this shaver wet using shaving cream, and I found the results similar. When wet shaving, the shave was a bit more comfortable with less friction on my skin, reduced irritation afterwards, and a smoother glide of the shaving head. The caveat to this is that the SenseIQ doesn’t seem to work as well when the blades are full of shaving cream, so try and rinse the heads often or your mileage may vary. The razor has an integrated pop-up trimmer at the back which was nice to have for tidying up sideburns, but I didn’t find its performance that be anything spectacular. The cutting ability of the trimmer wasn’t particularly powerful, and it took a couple passes to get a straight, crisp line, though eventually it got the job done. Clean up is fairly straightforward since the entire unit is waterproof, you simply rinse the blades under running water; you can even use it in the shower. A quick release button at the front of the razor head pops open the removable cover, so you can rinse the catch chamber underneath easily. Each of the three shaving heads can be disassembled for cleaning or replacement using the twist-to-lock rings. Just be sure not to mix up the blades and guards as these are matching pairs and doing so can compromise the efficiency of the shaver. For a deeper clean, place the shaver into the quick clean pod and turn it on. The shaver will automatically detect it and run through a 1-minute cleaning cycle, using the blue disinfectant fluid from the cartridge inside. The cleaning solution needs to be replaced after 30 cleanse cycles or when empty. Battery life is ok with a 3-minute shave consuming about 5% battery. A 5-minute quick charge should be enough to provide a full shave while a full charge takes about an hour. There is a travel lock feature that can be enabled by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds. Once locked, the unit can’t be turned on accidentally if the power button gets pressed. You’ll have to hold it for 5 seconds once more to exit this mode. Overall, this rotary shaver provides me with a smooth, close daily shave in under 5 minutes and even worked well on several days’ growth. The shaving experience is comfortable and efficient whether wet or dry, and the unit is easy to clean. The app provides valuable tips and content if you’re looking for grooming and style advice, and this razor makes for a great introductory to rotary shavers with its guided shaves and data driven feedback on your shaving habits.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 7600 is one of Philips’ latest offering for its shaving line. Having used the S5000 and S9000 series, I would definitely say the Philips S7600 is between the two models. It has the shaving head of similar to the premium S9000 series and provides a much better shave compared to the lower S5000 series. But unlike the S9000 series which has a premium build, the S7600 has a similar build quality to the lower S5000 (basically plastic and rubber) series hence making this a middle model among the three models mentioned. But what makes the S7600 stand out among the three shavers? First, it has a retractable trimmer. Most of Philips’ shavers provide a detachable trimmer which is quite easy to lose. Now this is a big deal if you have a beard and can be quite frustrating. Thus an attached retractable trimmer is perfect for those who have beards since it is always there. But personally, this is a non issue for me since I do not maintain a beard. Second, it has an app. An app you say? Well almost everything now has an app nowadays. But this is a first for me after shaving for around forty years. The app is both available in iOS and Android. It connects via bluetooth to your shaver and records your shaving history. It basically tracks how often you shave and how you shave. It provides you with techniques on how to shave shown in the app. And you do not need to connected all the time to the app. Once you reconnect, the app syncs all your data. But again I have been shaving for forty years thus this is not a deal breaker for me. But it may be useful for others. Lastly, this like most higher priced cleaning shavers from Philips, it has a cleaning dock. This can be quite handy as you just dock your shaver and turn it on and it self cleans. I however really have no use for it since 1) the cleaning gel is hard to find in my place and 2) again I have been shaving for forty years. Running water has been working well for me. Overall this is a very good shaver and I recommend it for others. But if the app and cleaning gel are not important for you a lower priced Norelco such as the S6000 series may be better for you. But I do find this shaver to be quite useful.

Purchased for my husband because he was getting tired of paying for high priced razor blades. He absolutely loves it! Easy to use and clean - loves the app where it shows how good a job you are doing or places you have missed. Helps with a nice smooth shave - best he's ever had.

My former Norelco shaver had old cutters and the battery was starting to go. So, I started looking at a new one. After discounting the cost of just replacement cutters, and then finding the 7600 on sale, I realized that the upgrade was well worth buying. One of my main reasons for buying this model is that is came with a hard case for storage and travel. I really didn't need the cleaning system or the app. But buying a cheaper Norelco and then finding a case on Amazon at a modest cost made buying the 7600 at the sale price worthwhile for me. The handle of the 7600 provides all the information I really want. I think the app is a bit gimmicky. After using a Norelco shaver for decades, I really don't need the app to tell me how to shave with it. The cleaning system is fine since I have it. But I'm not sure it adds a lot of value for me. I'll see over time. In any case, I recommend this shaver if you are a Norelco user and find it on sale. Full disclosure: I bought it at the regular price and returned to Best Buy when I saw it on sale for big difference. My BB Plus membership came in handy.

The Philips Norelco 7600 is a high-end electric shaver with advanced features. It has a multi-head design that allows for a close and comfortable shave, and it also has a built-in trimmer for sideburn and mustache grooming. This 7600 electric shaver gave me a close and comfortable shave without the dreaded electric shaver burn. It has been a long time since I last used an electric shaver, probably around 20 years, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much improved the technology is now. The anti-friction coating on the blades really does work. I’m going to ditch my manual razor and switch to the Norelco 7600 because I save so much time not having to mess around with shaving creams and cleaning up afterwards, speaking of which, on the Norelco 7600 cleanup is a snap. Just put the shaver in the quick clean pod for 1 minute and you’re good to go. This is apparently 10x more effective than cleaning with water. Other nice features: the 7600 has a digital display that shows the battery level, cleaning indicator, and travel lock indicator. It's waterproof, making it easy to clean and use in the shower. This is also a time saver for me to be able to shave while I take a shower. Overall, the Philips Norelco 7600 is a high-quality, versatile electric shaver that does its job well. I highly recommend it.

Excellent electric razor with great battery and performance. This thing holds a charge forever and does an outstanding job of shaving. I have never had an electric Razor get so close and work so quickly on tough facial hair. Definitely would recommend to anyone skeptical about buying an electric Razor. You will not be disappointed!
